حکمت ۲۵۰۱ — موضوع ۱۴۸ · Muhammad (S) And His ProgenySaying 2501 — Muhammad (S) And His Progenyلَتَعْطِفَنَّ عَلَيْنا الدُّنيا بَعْدَ شِماسِها عَطْفَ الضَّرُوسِ عَلى وَلَدِها.
دنیا پس از سرکشی‌اش باید به سوی ما برگردد، چونان بازگشتِ شترِ بی‌مهر به فرزندش.
This world will incline towards us after having been refractory just like the wild camel inclines towards its young.
حکمت ۲۵۰۲ — موضوع ۱۴۸ · Muhammad (S) And His ProgenySaying 2502 — Muhammad (S) And His Progenyلَقَدْ كُنْتُ وما أُهَدَّدُ بِالْحَرْبِ، وَلا أُرَهَّبُ بِالضَّـرْبِ.
من بوده‌ام و مرا به جنگ تهدید نمی‌کردند و به کتک نمی‌ترساندند.
I am not, nor have I ever been, intimidated by battle or frightened of being struck [by swords].
حکمت ۲۵۰۳ — موضوع ۱۴۸ · Muhammad (S) And His ProgenySaying 2503 — Muhammad (S) And His Progenyلَوْ كُشِفَ الغِطاءُ مَا ازْدَدْتُ يَقِيناً.
اگر پرده برداشته شود، بر یقینم افزوده نشود.
If the veils were removed, my certitude would not increase.[^5]
حکمت ۲۵۰۴ — موضوع ۱۴۸ · Muhammad (S) And His ProgenySaying 2504 — Muhammad (S) And His Progenyلَوِ اسْتَوَتْ قَدَمايَ مِنْ هذِهِ المَداحِضِ لَغَيَّـرْتُ أشْياءً.
اگر دو پایم بر این لغزشگاه‌ها استوار می‌شد، چیزها را دگرگون می‌کردم.
If my feet were to rest firmly on these slippery areas, I would surely change [many] things.
حکمت ۲۵۰۵ — موضوع ۱۴۸ · Muhammad (S) And His ProgenySaying 2505 — Muhammad (S) And His Progenyلَوْ كُنّا نَأْتِي ما تَأْتُونَ (آنَيْتُم)، لَما قامَ لِلْدّينِ عَمُودٌ، ولا اخْضَـرَّ لِلإيمانِ عُودٌ.
اگر آنچه شما می‌کنید می‌کردیم، ستونِ دین برپا نمی‌شد و شاخِ ایمان سبز نمی‌گشت.
If we had done as you did, no pillar of the religion would be left standing and no plant of faith would grow.
حکمت ۲۵۰۶ — موضوع ۱۴۸ · Muhammad (S) And His ProgenySaying 2506 — Muhammad (S) And His Progenyلَوْ شِئْتُ أنْ أُخْبِرَ كُلَّ رَجُل مِنْكُمْ بِمَخْرَجِهِ ومَوْلِجِهِ وجَمِيعَ شَأْنِهِ لَفَعَلْتُ، لكِنّي أخافُ أنْ تَـكْفُرُوا فِيَّ بِرَسُولِ اللّهِ صَلَواتُ اللّهِ وسَلامُهُ عَلَيْهِ، إلاّ أنّي مُفْضِيهِ إلَى الخاصَّةِ مِمَّنْ يُؤْمَنُ ذلِكَ مِنْهُ، والَّذي بَعَثَهُ بِالحَقِّ واصْطَفاهُ عَلَى الخَلْقِ ما أنْطِقُ إلاّ صادِقاً، ولَقَدْ عَهَدَ إلَيَّ بِذلِكَ كُلِّهِ، وبِمَهْلِكِ مَنْ يَهْلِكُ، وبِمَنْجا مَنْ يَنْجُو(وَمَ آلِ هذا الأمْرِ) وَما أبْقى شَيْئاً يَمُرُّ عَلى رَأسي إلاّ أفْرَغَهُ في أُذُنَيّوَ أفضى بِهِ إلَيَّ.
اگر می‌خواستم هر مردی از شما را به خروج و دخول و همهٔ حالش آگاه کنم، می‌کردم؛ ولی می‌ترسم که در حقِّ من به پیامبرِ خدا کفر ورزید. مگر آن که به خاصگانِ امین بدان بگویم. سوگند به آن که او را به حق برانگیخت و بر آفریدگان برگزید، سخن نمی‌گویم مگر راست، و او همهٔ آن و هلاکتِ هر هلاک‌شونده و نجاتِ هر نجات‌یابنده [و عاقبتِ این کار] را به من عهد کرده و چیزی را که بر سرم آید وا نگذاشت مگر آن که در گوشم ریخت و به من سپرد.
If I wished to inform every man from among you of where he has come from and where he is going to and about all his affairs, I would do so, but I fear that you will take me and abandon the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. However, I will convey it to the selected ones who are safe from that [fear]. By the One who sent him with truth and chose him above the creation, I do not speak save the truth. He (the Prophet) has informed me about all this and about the destruction of those who are destroyed and the salvation of those who are saved (and the consequences of this matter [of the caliphate]). He left nothing that I would encounter except that he put it into my ear and informed me about it.
حکمت ۲۵۰۷ — موضوع ۱۴۸ · Muhammad (S) And His ProgenySaying 2507 — Muhammad (S) And His Progenyلَنا حَقٌّ إنْ أُعْطِيناهُ، وإلاّ رَكِبْنا أعْجازَ الإبِلِ وإنْ طالَ السُّرى.
ما را حقی است؛ اگر دهندش وگرنه بر پشتِ شتران نشینیم، هرچند شب‌پیمایی دراز شود.
We have a right [to it] if it is given to us, otherwise we ride on the hinds of camels[^6] even if the night journey is long.
حکمت ۲۵۰۸ — موضوع ۱۴۸ · Muhammad (S) And His ProgenySaying 2508 — Muhammad (S) And His Progenyلَنا عَلَى النّاسِ حَقُّ الطّاعَةِ والوِلايـَةِ، ولَهُمْ مِنَ اللّهِ سُبْحانَهُ حُسْنُ الجَزاءِ.
ما را بر مردم حقِّ اطاعت و ولایت است و آنان را از خدای سبحان نیکوییِ پاداش است.
We have the right of obedience and love over the people, and for them [for this] there is a goodly reward from Allah, the Glorified.
حکمت ۲۵۰۹ — موضوع ۱۴۸ · Muhammad (S) And His ProgenySaying 2509 — Muhammad (S) And His Progenyمَنْ تَمَسَّكَ بِنا لَحِقَ.
هر که به ما چنگ زند، رسد.
Whoever clings to us will join us.
حکمت ۲۵۱۰ — موضوع ۱۴۸ · Muhammad (S) And His ProgenySaying 2510 — Muhammad (S) And His Progenyمَنْ تَخَلَّفَ عَنّا مُحِقَ.
هر که از ما باز ماند، محو شود.
Whoever turns away from us will be annihilated.
حکمت ۲۵۱۱ — موضوع ۱۴۸ · Muhammad (S) And His ProgenySaying 2511 — Muhammad (S) And His Progenyمَنِ اتَّبَعَ أمْرَنا سَبَقَ.
هر که فرمانِ ما را پیروید، پیشی گیرد.
One who follows our commandments advances.
حکمت ۲۵۱۲ — موضوع ۱۴۸ · Muhammad (S) And His ProgenySaying 2512 — Muhammad (S) And His Progenyمَنْ رَكِبَ غَيْرَ سَفينَتِنا غَرِقَ.
هر که بر غیرِ کشتیِ ما نشیند، غرق شود.
One who boards other than our ship, drowns.
حکمت ۲۵۱۳ — موضوع ۱۴۸ · Muhammad (S) And His ProgenySaying 2513 — Muhammad (S) And His Progenyهُمْ مَوْضِعُ سِـرِّ رَسُولِ اللّهِ صلَّى اللّه عليه وآله وسلَّم،وَ حُماةُ أمْرِهِ، وعَيْبَةُ عِلْمِهِ، ومَوْئِلُ حُكْمِهِ، وكُهُوفُ كُتُبِهِ، وجِبالُ دينِهِ.
آنان جایگاهِ رازِ پیامبرِ خدا (ص) و پاسدارانِ کارش و صندوقِ دانشش و پناهگاهِ حکمش و غارهای کتاب‌هایش و کوه‌های دین‌اند.
They (i.e. the Imams) are the trustees of the secrets of the Messenger of Allah (s), the protectors of his mission, the container of his knowledge, the sanctuary of his wisdom, the caverns of his books and the mountains of his religion.
حکمت ۲۵۱۴ — موضوع ۱۴۸ · Muhammad (S) And His ProgenySaying 2514 — Muhammad (S) And His Progenyهُمْ كَرائِمُ الإيمانِ، وكُنُوزُ الرَّحْمنِ، إنْ قالُوا صَدَقُوا، وإنْ صَمَتُوا لَمْيُسْبَقُوا.
آنان برگزیدگانِ ایمان و گنج‌های رحمان‌اند؛ اگر گویند راست گویند و اگر خاموش شوند پیشی نگیرند.
They are the gems of faith and the treasures of the Most Merciful. When they speak, they are truthful and when they remain silent, they are not surpassed.
حکمت ۲۵۱۵ — موضوع ۱۴۸ · Muhammad (S) And His ProgenySaying 2515 — Muhammad (S) And His Progenyهُمْ كُنُوزُ الإيمانِ، ومَعادِنُ الإحْسانِ، إنْ حَكَمُوا عَدَلُوا، وإنْ حاجُّوا خَصَمُوا.
آنان گنج‌های ایمان و معادنِ احسان‌اند؛ اگر داوری کنند عدل ورزند و اگر احتجاج کنند محکوم کنند.
They are the treasures of faith and the sources of virtue; when they judge, they do justice and when they debate, they overcome.
حکمت ۲۵۱۶ — موضوع ۱۴۸ · Muhammad (S) And His ProgenySaying 2516 — Muhammad (S) And His Progenyهُمْ أساسُ الدّينِ، وعِمادُ الْيَقينِ، إلَيْهِمْ يَفِيءُ الغالِي، وبِهِمْ يَلْحَقُ التّالِي.
آنان بنیادِ دین و ستون‌های یقین‌اند؛ به سوی آنان زیاده‌رو بازگردد و به آنان پس‌افتاده رسد.
They are the foundation of religion and the pillar of certitude; to them return those who have exceeded the limits and those who are behind [come forward to] join them.
حکمت ۲۵۱۷ — موضوع ۱۴۸ · Muhammad (S) And His ProgenySaying 2517 — Muhammad (S) And His Progenyهُمْ مَصابِيحُ الظُّلَمِ، ويَنابِيعُ الحِكَمِ، ومَعادِنُ العِلْمِ، ومَواطِنُ الحِلْمِ.
آنان چراغ‌های تاریکی‌ها و چشمه‌های حکمت و معادنِ دانش و جایگاه‌های بردباری‌اند.
They are the lamps in the darkness, the springs of wisdom, the sources of knowledge and the loci of forbearance.
حکمت ۲۵۱۸ — موضوع ۱۴۸ · Muhammad (S) And His ProgenySaying 2518 — Muhammad (S) And His Progenyهُمْ عَيْشُ العِلْمِ، ومَوْتُ الجَهْلِ، يُخْبِرُ كُمْ حِلْمُهُمْ (حُكْمُهُمْ) عَنْ عِلْمِهِمْ، وصَمْتُهُمْ عَنْ مَنْطِقِهِمْ(وَظاهِرُهُمْ عَنْ باطِنِهِمْ)، لا يُخالِفُونَ الحَقَّ (الدّين)، ولا يَخْتَلِفُونَ فيهِ، فَهُوَ بَيْنَهُمْ صامِتٌ ناطِقٌ، وشاهِدٌ صادِقٌ.
آنان زندگیِ دانش و مرگِ نادانی‌اند؛ بردباری‌شان [یا حکمشان] شما را از دانششان و سکوتشان از سخنشان [و ظاهرشان از باطنشان] خبر دهد. حق [یا دین] را مخالفت نکنند و در آن اختلاف ننهند؛ پس حق میان آنان خاموشی است گویا و گواهی است راستگو.
They are the life of knowledge and the death of ignorance. Their forbearance (or wisdom) is conveyed to you from their knowledge, their silence from their speech (and their apparent from their hidden); they do not go against the truth (or the religion) nor do they differ in it, for it is among them as a silent speech and a truthful witness.
حکمت ۲۵۱۹ — موضوع ۱۴۸ · Muhammad (S) And His ProgenySaying 2519 — Muhammad (S) And His Progenyلاتَزِلُّوا عَنِ الحَقِّ وأهْلِهِ، فَإنَّهُ مَنِ اسْتَبْدَلَ بِنا أهْلَ البَيْتِ هَلَكَ، وَفاتَتْهُ الدُّنْيا والآخِرَةِ.
از حق و اهلش برنگردید؛ چرا که هر که ما اهلِ بیت را به دیگری بدل کند، هلاک شود و دنیا و آخرتش از دست رود.
Do not stray from the truth and its people, for verily whoever opts [to follow] other than us, the household [of the Prophet], perishes and loses in [both] this world and the Hereafter.
حکمت ۲۵۲۰ — موضوع ۱۴۸ · Muhammad (S) And His ProgenySaying 2520 — Muhammad (S) And His Progenyلاتَخْلُو الأرْضُ مِنْ قائِم لِلّهِ بِحُجَجِهِ (بِحُجَّة)، إمّا ظاهِراً مَشْهُوراً، وَإمّا باطِناً (خائِفاً) مَغْمُوراً، لِئَلاّ تَبْطُلَ حُجَجُ اللّهِ وبَيِّناتُهُ.
زمین از قائمی برای خدا به حجت‌هایش [یا حجّتی] خالی نماند؛ یا آشکار و مشهور است یا نهان [یا ترسان] و گمنام، تا حجت‌ها و بیّناتِ خدا باطل نشود.
The world is never devoid of an establisher of the proof of Allah, either [as an] apparent and known [person] or [as a] hidden and unknown [person], so that the proof of Allah and His message does not become void.
