أنَا قَسيمُ النّارِ، وخازِنُ الجِنانِ، وصاحِبُ الحَوْضِ، وصاحِبُ الأعْرافِ، ولَيْسَ مِنّا أهْلَ البَيْتِ إمامٌ إلاّ وهُوَ عارِفٌ (عالِمٌ) بِأهْلِ وِلايَتِهِ، وَذلِكَ لِقَوْلِ اللّهِ تَعالى: إنَّما أنْتَ مُنْذِرٌ ولِكُلِّ قَوْم هاد.
من تقسیم‌کنندهٔ آتش و خزانه‌دارِ بهشت‌ها و صاحبِ حوض و صاحبِ اعرافم؛ و از ما اهلِ بیت امامی نیست مگر آن که اهلِ ولایتش را شناسد [یا بداند]؛ و این به گفتارِ خدای تعالی است که: تو بیم‌دهنده‌ای و هر قومی را راهنمایی است.
I am the allotter of hellfire, the treasurer of the gardens [of Paradise], the owner of the pond [of Kawthar] and the holder of the Elevations, and there is no Imam from among us, the household [of the Prophet], except that he knows those who are his sincere friends [and followers], and this is the meaning of the words of the Most High: ‘You are only a warner, and there is a guide for every people’[^2].
أنَا صِنْوُ رَسُولِ اللّهِ، والسّابِقُ إلَى الإسْلامِ، وكاسِرُ الأصْنامِ، وَمُجاهِدُ الكُفّارِ، وقامِعُ الأضْدادِ.
من برادرِ پیامبرِ خدایم و پیشگام در اسلام و شکنندهٔ بت‌ها و جهادکننده با کافران و کوبندهٔ ضدّها.
I am the brother of the Prophet of Allah, the first to accept Islam, the breaker of the idols, the warrior against the disbelievers and the vanquisher of adversaries.
أنَا كابُّ الدُّنْيا لِوَجْهِها، وقادِرُها بِقَدْرِها، ورادُّها عَلى عَقِبِها.
من دنیا را رو به زیر افکنم و به اندازه‌اش قدر نهم و بر پاشنه‌اش بازگردانم.
I am the one who turn this world over on its face, gauges it according to its true value and drives it back on its heels.
أنَا يَعْسُوبُ المُؤْمِنينَ، والمالُ يَعْسُوبُ الفُجّارِ.
من پیشوای مؤمنانم و مال پیشوای فجّار.
I am the leader (ya‘sūb[^3]) of the believers and wealth is the leader of the wicked.
أنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللّهِ صَلَواتُ اللّهِ عَلَيْهِ ومَعي عِتْرَتي عَلَى الحَوْضِ (فَلْيَأْخُذْ آخِذُكُمْ بِقَولِنا، ولْيَعْمَلْ بِعَمَلِنا، إنّا لَنُنافِسُ عَلَى الحَوْضِ) وإنّا لَنَذُودُ عَنْهُ أعْدائَنا، ونَسْقي مِنْهُ أوْلِياءَنا، فَمَنْ شَرِبَ مِنْهُ شَرْبَةً، لَمْ يَظْمَأْ بَعْدَها أبَداً.
من با پیامبرِ خدا (ص) و عترتم بر حوضم؛ پس گیرنده‌ای از شما باید به گفتارمان گیرد و به کردارمان عمل کند؛ ما بر سرِ حوض به هم می‌آویزیم و دشمنانمان را از آن باز می‌رانیم و دوستانمان را از آن سیراب می‌کنیم؛ پس هر که از آن جرعه‌ای نوشد، پس از آن هرگز تشنه نشود.
I will be with the Prophet of Allah, the blessings of Allah be upon him, and with me will be my progeny at the pond (so act upon our words and emulate our actions as we will vie at the pond [of Kawthar]), and we will verily drive away our enemies from it and let our close friends drink from it, and whoever takes a drink from it will never be thirsty after that again.
أنَا وَضَعْتُ بِكَلْكَلِ (بِكَلاكِلِ) العَرَبِ، وكَسَرْتُ نَواجِمَ (قُرُونَ) رَبِيعَةَ ومُضَـرَ.
من بر سینهٔ عرب بر شترنشستم و شاخ‌های ربیعه و مضر را در شکستم.

أنَا شاهِدٌ لَكُمْ، وحَجيجٌ يَوْمَ القِيمَةِ عَلَيْكُمْ.
من گواه شما و در روز قیامت حجت‌آورنده بر شمایم.
I am a witness for you [if you follow me] and a plaintiff against you [if you disobey me] on the Day of Judgment.
أنَا داعِيكُمْ إلى طاعَةِ رَبِّكُمْ، ومُرْشِدُكُمْ إلى فَرائِضِ دِينِكُمْ، وَدَليلُكُمْ إلى ما يُنْجِيكُمْ.
من شما را به طاعتِ پروردگارتان خواننده و به فرایضِ دینتان راه‌نمود و راهنمای شما به سوی آنچه نجاتتان دهد هستم.
I am your inviter towards the obedience of your Lord, your mentor to performing your religious obligations and your guide to that which will save you.
أنَا وأهْلُ بَيْتي أمانٌ لأهْلِ الأرْضِ كَما أنَّ النُّجُومَ أمانٌ لاِهْلِ السَّماءِ.
من و اهلِ بیتم برای اهلِ زمین امانیم، چنان که ستارگان برای اهلِ آسمان امانند.
My household and I are the [means of] security for the people of earth just as the stars are the [means of] security for the people of the heavens.
أنَا خَلِيفَةُ رَسُولِ اللّهِ فيكُمْ ومُقِيمُكُمْ عَلى حُدُودِ دينِكُمْ، وداعِيكُمْ إلى جَنَّةِ المَأْوى.
من جانشینِ پیامبرِ خدا در میان شما و برپادارندهٔ شما بر حدودِ دینتان و خوانندهٔ شما به بهشتِ مأوی هستم.
I am the representative of the Prophet of Allah among you, and the one who will keep you within the boundaries of your religion, and the one who calls you towards the Garden of the Abode.
إنّي لَعَلى بَيِّنَة مِنْ رَبّي، وبَصيرَة مِنْ دِيني، ويَقين مِنْ أمْرِي.
من بر بیّنه‌ای از پروردگارم و بصیرتی از دینم و یقینی از کارم هستم.
Verily I am standing on a manifest proof from my Lord, insight in my religion and certitude in my affair.
إنّي لَعَلى جادَّةِ الحَقِّ، وإنَّهُمْ لَعَلى مَزَلَّةِ الباطِلِ.
من بر جادهٔ حق هستم و آنان بر لغزشگاهِ باطل.
Verily I am on the highway of truth and they are surely on the erroneous path of falsehood.
إنّي لَعَلى إقامَةِ حُجَجِ اللّهِ أُقاوِلُ، وَعلى نُصْرَةِ دِينِهِ أُجاهِدُ وَأُقاتِلُ.
من بر برپاداشتنِ حجت‌های خدا گفت‌وگو می‌کنم و بر یاریِ دینش جهاد و پیکار می‌کنم.
Verily it is for the establishment of the proofs of Allah that I argue and it is in order to support His religion that I struggle and fight.
إنّي لأرْفَعُ نَفْسي أنْ تَـكُونَ حاجَةٌ لا يَسَعُها جُودي، أوْ جَهْلٌ لايَسَعُهُ حِلْمي، أوْ ذَنْبٌ لايَسَعُهُ عَفْوِي، أوْ أنْ يَكُونَ زَمانٌ أطْوَلَ مِنْ زَمانِي.
من جانِ خود را برتر می‌دارم از آن که حاجتی باشد که بخشندگی‌ام فراخیش نگیرد، یا نادانی که بردباری‌ام فراخیش نگیرد، یا گناهی که گذشتم فراخیش نگیرد، یا روزگاری درازتر از روزگارِ من.
Indeed I raise myself such that there should be no need that my generosity cannot encompass, nor any ignorance that cannot be encompassed by my forbearance, nor any wrongdoing that my forgiveness cannot encompass, nor should there be a time that is longer than my time [spent in worship and righteous actions].
إنّي كُنْتُ إذا سَئَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللّهِ صلَّى اللّه عليه وآله وسلَّم أعْطانِي، وإذا سَكَتُّ عَنْ مَسْألَتِهِ إبْتَدَأَني.
من هرگاه از پیامبرِ خدا (ص) خواهشی داشتم، می‌بخشید و هرگاه از خواهش خاموش شدم، آغاز می‌کرد.
Whenever I would ask the Prophet of Allah (s), he would give to me and when I was silent and did not ask, he would be the one to initiate [the matter] with me.
إنَّما مَثَلي بَيْنَـكُمْ كَالسِّراجِ في الظُّلْمَةِ، يَسْتَضِيءُ بِها مَنْ وَلَجَها.
مَثَلِ من در میان شما چون چراغی است در تاریکی که هر که به آن درآید روشن شود.
The example of my presence among you is only like a lamp in the darkness, he who enters upon it receives its light.
إنّما الأئِمَّةُ قُوّامُ اللّهِ عَلى خَلْقِهِ، وعُرَفاؤُهُ عَلى عِبادِهِ، ولا يَدْخُلُ الجَنَّةَ إلاّ مَنْ عَرَفَهُمْ وعَرَفُوهُ، ولا يَدْخُلُ النّارَ إلاّ مَنْ أنْكَرَهُمْ وَأنْكَرُوهُ.
امامان کارگزارانِ خدا بر آفریدگانش و شناسایانِ او بر بندگانش‌اند؛ و به بهشت درنیاید مگر آن که آنان را بشناسد و آنان بشناسندش و به آتش درنیاید مگر آن که منکرشان شود و منکرش شوند.
Certainly the Imams are the [only] vicegerents of Allah over His creation and the ones who explain His servants about Him; and none will enter Paradise except the one who recognizes them and is recognized by them and none will enter the hellfire except the one who rejects them and is rejected by them.
إنَّما المُسْتَحْفَظُونَ لِديْنِ اللّهِ هُمُ الَّذِينَ أقامُوا الدّينَ، ونَصَرُوهُ، وَحاطُوهُ مِنْ جَمِيعِ جَوانِبِهِ، وَحَفِظُوهُ على عِبادِ اللّهِ ورَعَوْهُ.
نگهبانانِ دینِ خدا همانان‌اند که دین را برپا داشتند و یاریش کردند و از همه سوی پاسش داشتند و آن را برای بندگانِ خدا نگاهداشتند و رعایتش کردند.
Indeed the protectors of the religion of Allah are the only ones who establish the religion, support it, surround it from all sides and protect it for the servants of Allah and safeguard it.
)في ذِكْرِ رَسُولِ اللّهِصلَّى اللّه عليه وآله وسلَّم) بَلَّغَ عَنْ رَبِّهِ مُعْذِراً، ونَصَحَ لاُِمَّتِهِ مُنْذِراً، وَدَعا إلَى الجَنَّةِ مُبَشِّراً.
در یادِ پیامبرِ خدا (ص): از پروردگارش عذرخواهانه ابلاغ کرد و امتش را بیم‌دهنده نصیحت کرد و به بهشت بشارت‌دهنده خواند.
(In remembrance of the Prophet of Allah (s), he said): He conveyed [the message] from his Lord completely, such that nobody remained with any excuse [for not having accepted the message], he counselled his people as a warner and called [them] towards Paradise as a bringer of glad tidings.
