مَنْ لَمْ يَسْتَظْهِرْ بِاليَقْظَةِ لَمْ يَنْتَفِعْ بِالحَفَظَةِ.
هر که از بیداری و هشیاری مدد نگیرد، از نگهبانان سودی نبرد.
One who does not take support through vigilance will not benefit from [the presence of] guards.

اَلْيَقْظَةُ كَرَبٌ.
بیداری و هشیاری، مایهٔ اندوه و توجه به عواقب است.
Alertness is [a cause of] grief.
أفِقْ أَيُّهَا السّامِعُ مِنْ سَكْرَتِكَ، واسْتَيْقِظْ مِنْ غَفْلَتِكَ، وَاحْتَصِرْ(اِخْتَصِرْ) مِنْ عَجَلَتِكَ.
ای شنونده، از مستی‌ات به هوش آی، از غفلتت بیدار شو، و از شتابت [به سوی گناه] بکاه.
Recover, O listener, from your stupor, and wake up from your heedlessness, and curb (or cut short) your haste [towards sins].
اَلا مُسْتَيْقِظٌ مِنْ غَفْلَتِهِ قَبْلَ نَفادِ مُدَّتِهِ.
آیا کسی هست که پیش از پایانِ مهلتش، از خوابِ غفلتش بیدار شود؟
Is there nobody who will wake up from his [slumber of] negligence before his time [on this earth] ends?
أيْقِنْ (أتْقِنْ) تُفْلِحْ.
یقین داشته باش تا رستگار شوی.
Attain certitude (or proficiency) and you will be successful.
أفْضَلُ الدّينِ اليَقينُ.
برترینِ مرتبهٔ دین، یقین است.
The best faith is certitude.
أصْلُ الصَّبْرِ حُسْنُ اليَقينِ بِاللّهِ.
ریشهٔ صبر و شکیبایی، یقینِ نیکو به خداوند است.
The root of patience is [having] definite certainty about Allah.
أصْلُ الزُّهْدِ اَلْيَقينُ، وثَمَرَتُهُ السَّعادَةُ.
ریشهٔ زهد یقین است، و میوهٔ آن سعادت و خوشبختی.
The root of indifference towards worldly pleasures is certitude, and its fruit is felicity.
اَلْيَقينُ عِبادَةٌ.
یقین، عبادت است.
Certitude is worship.
اَلْيَقينُ نُورٌ.
یقین، نور و روشنایی است.
Certitude is light.
اَلْيَقينُ عُنْوانُ الإيمانِ.
یقین، نشانه و دیباچهٔ ایمان است.
Certitude is the symbol of faith.
اَلْيَقينُ أفْضَلُ الزَّهادَةِ.
یقین، برترین مرتبهٔ پارسایی و زهد است.
Certitude is the best [means of] indifference towards [the pleasures of] this world.
اَلْيَقينُ عِمادُ الإيمانِ.
یقین، ستونِ استوارِ ایمان است.
Certitude is the pillar of faith.
اَلْيَقينُ جِلْبابُ الأكْياسِ.
یقین، جامهٔ خردمندان و زیرکان است.
Certitude is the gown of the sagacious.
اَلْيَقينُ يَرْفَعُ الشَّكَّ.
یقین، شک و تردید را برطرف می‌سازد.
Certitude eliminates doubt.
اَلْيَقينُ يُثْمِرُ الزُّهْدَ.
یقین، میوهٔ زهد و بی‌رغبتی به دنیا به بار می‌آورد.
Certitude bears the fruit of indifference towards worldly pleasures.
اَلْيَقينُ رَأْسُ الدّينِ.
یقین، سرآمد و اساسِ دین است.
Certitude is the cornerstone of religion.
اَلْيَقينُ أفْضَلُ عِبادَة.
یقین، برترینِ عبادت است.
Certitude is the best worship.
إنّي لَعَلى يَقين مِنْ رَبّي، وغَيْرِ شُبْهَة في ديني.
همانا من از جانبِ پروردگارم بر مرتبهٔ یقینم، و در دینم هیچ شک و شبهه‌ای ندارم.
Verily I am upon complete certitude from my Lord and do not have any doubt about my religion.
بِاليَقينِ تَتِمُّ العِبادَةُ.
با یقین است که عبادت کامل می‌گردد.
Through certitude worship becomes complete.
