مَنْ أمَّلَ ثوابَ الحُسْنى لَمْ تُنْكَدْ آمالُهُ.
هر که امید پاداش نیکی داشته باشد، آرزوهایش تیره نشود.
One who hopes to attain the bountiful rewards [of the Hereafter] will not have his hopes disappointed.

أيَسُرُّكَ أنْ تَلْقَى اللّهَغَداً في القِيامَةِ وهُوَ عَلَيْكَ راض غَيرُ غَضْبانَ؟ كُنْ في الدُّنيا زاهِداً، وفي الآخرَةِ راغِباً، وعَلَيْكَ بِالتَّقوى والصِّدقِ، فَهُما جِماعُ الدِّينِ، والْزَمْ أهْلَ الحقِّ، واعْمَلْ عَمَلَهُمْ تَـكُنْ مِنْهُمْ.
آیا خوش داری که فردا در قیامت خدا را ملاقات کنی در حالی که از تو خشنود و ناخشمگین است؟ در دنیا زاهد باش و در آخرت راغب، و تقوا و راستی پیشه کن که این دو گردآورندهٔ دین است؛ و با اهل حق ملازم شو و عمل ایشان را بکن تا از ایشان باشی.
Would you be happy to meet Allah tomorrow on the Day of Resurrection while He is pleased with you and not angry? Then be indifferent to [the pleasures of] this world and desirous of the Hereafter. And adopt God-wariness and honesty, for these are the consolidators of faith. And accompany the people of truth and emulate their actions - you will become one of them.
ما ظَفِرَبِالآخِرَةِ مَنْ كانَتِ الدُّنيا مَطْلَبَهُ.
آن که دنیا خواستهٔ اوست، به آخرت پیروز نشود.
He whose goal is [attaining] this world will not be successful in [attaining] the Hereafter.
مَا المَغْبُوطُ الَّذي فازَ مِنْ دارِ البَقاءِ بِبُغْيَتِهِ كالمَغبُونِ الَّذي فاتَهُ النَّعيمُ بِسُوءِ اخْتيارِهِ وشَقاوَتِهِ.
آن غبطه‌خورده که در سرای بقا به آرزویش رسد، چون آن زیان‌دیده نیست که نعمت را به بدگزینی و شقاوتش از دست داده است.
The fortunate one who becomes prosperous in the permanent abode by attaining his desires is not like the deceived one who loses the bounties [of the Hereafter] because of his bad choices and wretchedness.
لا تَـكُنْ مِمَّن يَرْجوُا الآخِرَةَ بِغَيْرِ عَمَل، ويُسَوِّفُ التَّوبَةَ بِطُولِ الأمَلِ، يَقُولُ في الدُّنيا بِقَوْلِ الزَّاهِدينَ، ويَعمَلُ فيها بِعَمَلِ الرَّاغِبينَ.
از مباش آن که آخرت را بی‌عمل امید دارد و توبه را به درازی آرزو به تأخیر افکند؛ در دنیا سخن زاهدان گوید و عمل راغبان کند.
Do not be one of those who hopes for the Hereafter without working [for it], and postpones repentance with long hopes; one who speaks in this world with the words of those who are indifferent [to its pleasures] but acts in it with the actions of the desirous.
لايُنْعَمُ بِنَعيمِ الآخِرَةِ إلاّ مَنْ صَبَـرَ عَلى بلاءِ الدُّنيا.
از نعمت آخرت بهره‌مند نشود، مگر آن که بر بلا دنیا صبر کند.
None will be rewarded with the bounties of the Hereafter except those who are patient in the face of the tribulations of this world.
لايَنْفَعُ العَمَلُ لِلآخِرَةِ مَعَ الرَّغْبَةِ في الدُّنيا.
عمل برای آخرت، با رغبت به دنیا سود نبخشد.
There is no benefit in working for the Hereafter while having desire for this world.
لايُدْرِكُ أحَدٌ رِفْعَةَ الآخِرَةِ إلاّ بِإخلاصِ العَمَلِ، وتَقْصيرِ الأمَلِ، وَلُزُومِ التَّقوى.
هیچ‌کس به بلندی آخرت نرسد، جز با خلوص عمل و کوتاه‌کردن آرزو و پایبندی تقوا.
No one will attain an elevated rank in the Hereafter except through sincerity in action, reducing hopes and espousing God-wariness.
إسْتَحِقُّوا مِنَ اللّهِ ما أعَدَّ لَكُمْ بِالتَّنَجُّزِ لِصِدقِ ميعادِهِ والحَذَرِ مِنْ هَوْلِ مَعادِهِ.
آنچه را خدا برایتان آماده کرده، با مطالبهٔ وعدهٔ راستش و ترس از هول معادش شایستهٔ خود سازید.
Become deserving of what Allah has prepared for you [in the Hereafter] by seeking the fulfillment of His true promise and being wary of the horror of His reckoning.
اَلإخْوانُ أفْضَلُ العُدَدِ.
برادران، بهترینِ توشه‌اند.
Brothers are the best of assets [in times of hardship].
اَلمُعينُ عَلَى الطَّاعَةِ خَيرُ الأصحابِ.
یاری‌کننده بر طاعت، بهترینِ همنشینان است.
The one who assists [you] in obeying [Allah] is the best companion.
اَلصَّديقُ مَنْ صَدَقَ غَيبُهُ(غَيْبَتُهُ).
دوست آن است که در غیابش راست گوید.
A Friend is one whose friendship is true [even] in absence.
اَلفَقْدُ المُمْرِضُ (المُرْمِضُ) فَقْدُ الأحبابِ.
دردناک‌ترین فقدان، فقدان یاران است.
The loss that causes illness (or burns [the heart]) is the loss of loved ones.
اَلصَّاحِبُ كالرُّقعَةِ فَاتَّخِذْهُ مُشاكِلاً.
همنشین چون وصله‌ای است؛ پس او را هم‌شکلِ [خود] بگیر.
A companion is like a patch [of cloth], so take one that matches [yours].
الرَّفيقُ كالصَّديقِ فَاخْتَرَهُ مُوافِقاً.
رفیق چون دوست است؛ پس او را موافقِ [خود] برگزین.
An associate is like a friend, so choose one who is suitable.
اَلْغَريبُ مَنْ لَيْسَ لَهُ حَبيبٌ.
غریب آن است که محبوبی ندارد.
A stranger is one who does not have a [close] friend.
إخْوانُ الدّين أبْقى مَوَدَّةً.
برادرانِ دین، پایدارتر دوستی دارند.
Brothers in faith have lasting affection [for each other].
أخٌ تَسْتَفيدُهُ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أخ تَسْتَزيدُهُ.
برادری که از او سود بری، بهتر از برادری است که از او افزودن خواهی.
The brother whom you benefit from is better than the brother [for] whom you increase [benefit].
اِسْتِفْسادُ الصَّديقِ مِنْ عَدَمِ التَّوفيقِ.
تباه‌کردن دوست، از بی‌توفیقی است.
Seeking the destruction of a friend stems from lack of conciliation.
اَلإخوانُ زينَةٌ فِي الرَّخاءِ وَعُدَّةٌ فِي البلاءِ.
برادران در آسایش زینت‌اند و در بلا توشه.
Brothers are an embellishment in times of ease and a [means of] support in times of tribulation.
