حکمت ۱۶۱ تا ۱۸۰Sayings 161 to 180
أوْفَرُ النَّاسِ حَظّاً مِنَ الآخِرَةِ أقَلُّهُمْ حَظّاً مِنَ الدُّنيا.
بهره‌مندترینِ مردم از آخرت، کم‌بهره‌ترینِ ایشان از دنیاست.
Those who have the greatest share of the Hereafter are those who have the smallest share of this world.
إنّي آمُرُكُمْ بِحُسْنِ الإسْتِعْدادِ والإكثارِ مِنَ الزَّادِ لِيَوْم تَقْدِمُونَ على ما تُقَدِّمُونَ، وتَنْدَمُونَ على ما تُخَلِّفُونَ، وتُجْزَوْنَ بِما كُنْتُمْ تُسَلِّفُونَ.
من شما را به نیکو آماده‌شدن و بسیار توشه برگرفتن فرمان می‌دهم، برای روزی که بر آنچه پیش فرستاده‌اید رو کنید و بر آنچه وا نهاده‌اید پشیمان شوید و بدانچه پیش فرستاده‌اید جزا بینید.
I enjoin you to be well prepared and increase your provisions for the day when you will meet with what you have sent forth and regret what you have left behind, and will be rewarded for what you had forwarded [in advance].
إذا أعرَضْتَ عَنْ دارِ الفَناءِ، وتَوَلَّهْتَ بِدارِ البَقاءِ، فَقَدْ فازَ قِدْحُكَ، وَفُتِحَتْ لَكَ أبْوابُ النَّجاحِ، وظَفِرْتَ بِالفَلاحِ.
چون از سرای فنا روی گردانی و سرای بقا را سرپرستی گیری، تیر بختت برنده شود و درهای کامیابی بر تو گشوده گردد و به رستگاری رسی.
When you turn away from the transitory world and become occupied with the permanent abode, then your arrow has indeed hit its mark, the doors of prosperity are opened for you and you have attained success.
ثَوابُ الآخِرَةِ يُنْسي مَشَقَّةَ الدُّنيا.
پاداش آخرت، رنج دنیا را به فراموشی سپارد.
The reward of the Hereafter makes one forget the hardships of this world.
خُذْ مِمَّا لايَبْقى لَكَ ولا تَبْقى لَهُ لِما لا تُفارِقُهُ ولايُفارِقُكَ.
از آنچه برای تو نمی‌ماند و تو بر آن نمی‌مانی، بردار برای آنچه از او جدا نشوی و او از تو جدا نشود.
Take from what will not last for you and what you will not last for [of this world] for that which you will not separate from and which will not separate from you [of the Hereafter].
خُذْ مِنْ صالِحِ العَمَلِ، وخالِلْ خَيْرَ خَليل، فإنَّ لِلْمَرءِ ما اكْتَسَبَ، وَهُوَ في الآخِرَةِ مَعَ مَنْ أحَبَّ.
از عمل صالح بردار و با بهترین دوست رفاقت کن؛ که برای آدمی است آنچه به دست آوَرَد و او در آخرت با آن است که دوست می‌دارد.
Partake in the best of actions and befriend the best of friends; for verily every person will get that which he has earned and will be with the one whom he loves in the Hereafter.
دارُ البَقاءِ مَحَلُّ الصِّدّيقينَ ومَوطِنُ الأبْرارِ والصَّالِحينَ.
سرای بقا، جایگاه صدّیقان و وطن نیکان و شایستگان است.
The Everlasting Abode [of Paradise] is the home of the veracious and the dwelling of the virtuous and righteous.
ذِكْرُ الآخِرَةِ دَواءٌ وشِفاءٌ.
یاد آخرت، دارو و درمان است.
Remembrance of the Hereafter is a cure and a remedy.
رَحِمَ اللّهُ امْرَءاً أخَذَ مِنْ حَيوة لِمَوْت، وَمِنْ فَناء لِبَقاء، ومِنْ ذاهِب لِدائِم.
خدا رحمت کند کسی را که از زندگی برای مرگ و از فنا برای بقا و از رفتنی برای ماندگار توشه گیرد.
May Allah have mercy on the person who takes from [his] life for [his] death, from the transitory for the everlasting and from the perishing for the permanent.
عَلَيْكَ بِالآخِرَةِ تَأْتِكَ الدُّنيا صاغِرَةً.
آخرت را پیشه کن تا دنیا خوار و زبون به سویت آید.
Seek the Hereafter and the world will come to you belittled.
وكُلُّ شَيْء مِنَ الآخِرَةِ عِيانُهُ أعْظَمُ مِنْ سَماعِهِ، فَلْيَكْفِكُمْ مِنَ العَيانِ السَّماعُ ومِنَ الغَيْبِ الخَبَرُ.
هر چه از آخرت است، دیدنش از شنیدنش بزرگ‌تر است؛ پس شما را شنیدن به‌جای دیدن و خبر به‌جای غیب کافی باد.
Everything in the Hereafter is greater when seen than when heard of, so be satisfied with what you hear [of it] without seeing [it] and what you learn of [it] without witnessing [it].
كَيفَ يَعْمَلُ لِلآخِرَةِ المَشْغُولُ بِالدُّنيا؟
آن که به دنیا مشغول است، چگونه برای آخرت کار کند؟
How can one who is occupied with this world work for the Hereafter?
إنَّكُمْ إلى عِمارَةِ دارِ البَقاءِ أحْوَجُ مِنْكُمْ إلى عِمارَةِ دارِ الفَناءِ.
شما به آبادانی سرای بقا نیازمندترید تا به آبادانی سرای فنا.
Verily you are in greater need of developing the permanent abode [of the Hereafter] than you are of building the temporary abode [of this world].
إنَّكُمْ إنَّما خُلِقْتُمْ لِلآخِرَةِ لا لِلدُّنيا، ولِلبَقاءِ لا لِلْفَناءِ.
شما فقط برای آخرت آفریده شده‌اید نه دنیا، و برای بقا نه فنا.
Verily you have been created for the Hereafter, not for this world, and for perpetuity, not for extinction.
إنَّما خُلِقْتُمْ لِلْبَقاءِ لا لِلفَناءِ، وإنّكُمْ في دارِ بُلْغَة ومَنْزِلِ قُلْعَة.
شما برای بقا آفریده شده‌اید نه فنا، و در سرایی موقت و منزلگاهی رفتنی هستید.
Verily you have been created for perpetuity, not for extinction; and you are most certainly in a temporary abode of subsistence and a place which is not suitable for settling.
صَلاحُ الآخِرَةِ رَفْضُ الدُّنيا.
صلاح آخرت، ترک دنیاست.
The betterment of the Hereafter is in the rejection of this world.
عَجِبْتُ لِمَنْ عَرَفَ رَبَّهُ كَيْفَ لايَسْعى لِدارِ البَقاءِ؟!
شگفت از آن که پروردگارش را بشناسد و برای سرای بقا نکوشد!
I am amazed at the one who knows his Lord, how can he not strive for the everlasting abode?!
مَنْ أيْقَنَ بِما يَبْقى زَهِدَ فيما يَفْنى.
هر که به ماندگار یقین کند، به فناپذیر دل نبندد.
One who is certain about the everlasting is uninterested in that which perishes.
مَنْ أحَبَّ الدَّارَ الباقيَةَ لَهى عَنِ اللذَّات.
هر که سرای ماندگار را دوست دارد، از لذت‌ها دل بکند.
One who loves the everlasting abode becomes oblivious to [worldly] pleasures.
