لايَشْغَلَنَّكَ عَنِ العَمَلِ لِلآخِرَةِ شُغلٌ فإنَّ المُدَّةَ قَصيرَةٌ.
هیچ کاری تو را از عمل برای آخرت باز ندارد که مدت کوتاه است.
Never let anything occupy you from working for the Hereafter for indeed the time is short.

حکمت ۱۴۱ تا ۱۶۰Sayings 141 to 160
لاتَجْتَمِعُ الآخِرَةُ وَالدُّنيا.
آخرت و دنیا گرد هم نیایند.
The Hereafter and this world do not come together.
لاتَجتَمِعُ الفَناءُ والبَقاءُ.
فنا و بقا گرد هم نیایند.
The perishing and the permanent do not go together.
لايُدْرِكُ أحَدٌ ما يُريدُ مِنَ الآخِرَةِ إلاّ بِتَرْكِ ما يَشتَهي مِنَ الدُّنيا.
هیچ‌کس آنچه از آخرت می‌خواهد نیابد، جز با ترک آنچه از دنیا هوس می‌کند.
No one attains what he wishes for in the Hereafter except by abstaining from that which he desires in this world.
يَنبَغي لِمَنْ أيْقَنَ بِبَقاءِ الآخِرَةِ ودَوامِها أنْ يَعْمَلَ لَها.
سزوار آن است که هر که به بقا و دوام آخرت یقین دارد، برای آن کار کند.
It behoves one who is certain about the everlastingness and permanence of the Hereafter to work for it.
لايَتْرُكُ النَّاسُ شَيْئاً مِنْ دُنياهُمْ لإصلاحِ آخِرَتِهِمْ إلاّ عَوَّضَهُمُ اللّهُ سُبْحانَهُ خَيْراً مِنْهُ.
مردم چیزی از دنیای خود را برای اصلاح آخرتشان وا نگذارند، مگر آن‌که خدای سبحان بهتر از آن به آنان عوض دهد.
People do not abstain from anything of their worldly life for the sake of improving their Hereafter but that Allah, the Glorified, recompenses them with what is better than it.
إرْغَبُوا فيما وَعَدَاللّهُ المُتَّقينَ، فإنّ أصْدَقَ الوَعْدِ ميعادُهُ.
در آنچه خدا به پرهیزگاران وعده داده رغبت کنید که راست‌ترین وعده‌ها، وعدهٔ اوست.
Aspire for what Allah has promised the God-wary, for surely the truest promises are His promises.
إنَّ غَداً مِنَ اليَوْمِ قَريبٌ، يَذْهَبُ اليَومُ بِما فيهِ، ويَأتي الْغَدُ لاحِقاً بِهِ.
فردا از امروز نزدیک است؛ امروز با آنچه در آن است برود و فردا در پی آن رسد.
Verily tomorrow is close to today. This day will pass with what is in it and tomorrow will come [soon] following it.
إنَّ الغايَةَ أمامَكُمْ، وإنَّ السَّاعَةَ وَرائَـكُمْ تَحْدُوكُمْ.
سرانجام پیش روی شماست و قیامت پشت سرتان شما را می‌رانَد.
The [final] destination is in front of you and time is behind you, pushing you [forward].
إنّ لَكُمْ نِهايَةً فَانْتَهُوا إلى نِهايَتِكُمْ، وإنّ لَكُمْ عَلَماً فَانْتَهُوا بِعَلَمِكُمْ.
شما را پایانگاهی است؛ پس به پایانگاه خود برسید، و شما را نشانه‌ای است؛ پس به نشانهٔ خود بنگرید.
Verily you have an ultimate destination so move towards your destination, and you have a guide so move towards it with [the help of] your guide.
إنَّ المَرْءَ قَدْ يَسُرُّهُ دَرَكُ ما لَمْ يَكُنْ لِيَفُوتَهُ، ويَسُؤُءُهُ فَوْتُ ما لَمْ يَكُنْ لِيُدْرِكَهُ، فَلْيَكُنْ سُرُورُكَ بِما نِلتَ مِنْ آخِرَتِكَ، ولْيَكُنْ أسَفُكَ على ما فاتَكَ مِنْها، ولْيَكُنْ هَمُّكَ لِما بَعْدَ المَوْتِ.
گاه آدمی را رسیدن به آنچه هرگز از دستش نمی‌رفت شاد کند و فوتِ آنچه هرگز به دستش نمی‌آمد اندوهگین؛ پس شادی‌ات بدان باشد که از آخرتت یافته‌ای و اندوهت بر آنچه از آن فوت شده، و همّت برای پس از مرگ.
A man may be happy to gain what he was not meant to lose, and [he may be] saddened to lose what he was not meant to gain; so let your happiness be in that which you have acquired for your Hereafter and let your sadness be in that which you have lost from it; and let your concern be for that which comes after death.
إجْعَلْ هَمَّكَ لآخِرَتِكَ، وحُزْنَكَ على نَفْسِكَ، فَكَمْ مِنْ حَزين وََفَدَ بِهِ حُزْنُهُ على سرُورِ الأبَدِ، وَكَمْ مِنْ مَهْمُوم أدْرَكَ أمَلَهُ.
همّت برای آخرتت و اندوهت برای نفست باشد؛ چه بسیار اندوهگینی که اندوهش او را به شادی همیشگی رساند و چه بسیار غمگینی که به آرزویش رسید.
Let your concern be for your Hereafter and your sorrow be for your soul - for how many of the sorrowful have been led to everlasting bliss by their sorrow, and how many of the distressed have attained their aspiration.
إسْتَعِدُّوا لِيَوم تَشْخَصُ فيهِ الأبْصارُ وتَتَدلَّهُ لِهَولِهِ العُقُولُ وتَتَبَلَّدُ البَصائِرُ.
برای روزی آماده شوید که چشم‌ها در آن خیره ماند و خِرَدها از هول آن سرگشته شود و بصیرت‌ها کور گردد.
Prepare yourselves for the day when the eyes will be glazed, and the minds will lose their sanity because of its horror, and the perceptions will become dull.
إحْذَرُوا يَوْماً تُفْحَصُ فيهِ الأعْمالُ، وتَـكْثُرُ فيهِ الزِّلْزالُ، وتَشيبُ فيهِ الأطْفالُ.
از روزی بترسید که عمل‌ها در آن آزموده شود و زلزله‌هایش بسیار گردد و کودکان در آن پیر شوند.
Beware of the day when the deeds are audited, when earthquakes increase and when young children turn old.
إيَّاكَ أن تَخْدَعَ عَنْ دارِ القَرارِ، ومَحَلِّ الطَّيِّبينَ الأخْيارِ، والأولياءِ الأبْرارِ التَّي نَطَقَ القُرآنُ بِوَصْفِها، وأثنى على أهْلِها، وَدَلَّكَ اللّهُ سُبْحانَهُ عَليْها وَدَعاكَ إليها.
زنهار که از سرای جاودان فریفته شوی؛ جایگاه پاکان و نیکان و اولیای پرهیزکار، که قرآن به وصفش سخن گفته و بر اهلش ستایش فرستاده و خدای سبحان تو را بر آن رهنمود و به سوی آن خوانده است.
Be careful not to be swindled out of the Permanent Abode, the dwelling of the righteous and the virtuous elite, about whose qualities the Qur’an has spoken and whose dwellers it has praised; while Allah, the Glorified, has guided you and invited you to it.
ألا مُتَزَوِّدٌ لآخِرَتِهِ قَبْلَ اُزُوفِ رِحْلَتِهِ.
هان! کیست که پیش از نزدیک‌شدن کوچ، توشه‌ای برای آخرتش برگیرد؟
Is there nobody who has prepared the provisions for his Hereafter before the coming of [the hour of] his departure?
اَلآخِرَةُ دارُ مُسْتَقَرِّكُمْ، فَجَهَزُوا إليها ما يَبْقى لَكُمْ.
آخرت سرای ماندن شماست؛ پس آنچه برایتان می‌ماند به سوی آن فرستید.
The Hereafter is the abode of your permanent stay, so prepare for it that which will be lasting for you.
إجْعَلْ هَمَّكَ وجِدَّكَ لآخِرَتِكَ.
همّ و کوششت را برای آخرتت قرار ده.
Place your concern and effort for your Hereafter.
إجْعَلْ هَمَّكَ لِمَعادِكَ تَصْلَحْ.
همّت برای معادت باش تا صلاح یابی.
Be concerned about your Hereafter and you will become upright.
إسْتَفْرِغْ جَهْدَكَ لِمَعادِكَ تُصْلِحْ مَثْـواكَ، ولاتَبِـعْ آخِرَتَكَ بِدُنياكَ.
همهٔ توانت را برای معادت به کار گیر تا جایگاهت را آباد کنی و آخرتت را به دنیا مفروش.
Exert all your effort for your afterlife and your [final] station will be improved, and do not sell your Hereafter for your worldly life.
