اَلْحَقُودُ مُعَذَّبُ النَّفْسِ مُتَضاعِفُ الهَمِّ.
کینه‌توز جانش در عذاب و غمش دوچندان است.
The spiteful one has a tormented soul is doubly distressed.
اَلحَقُودُ لاراحَةَ لَهُ.
کینه‌توز را آسایشی نیست.
There is no repose for the spiteful.
لاتَزْدَرِيَنَّ أحَداً حَتّى تَسْتَنْطِقَهُ.
هیچ‌کس را خوار مشمار تا به سخنش نیاوَرده‌ای.
Do not belittle anyone until you have heard from him.
لاعَمَلَ كَالتَّحْقِيقِ.
هیچ عملی چون حق‌جویی نیست.
There is no action like verification.
لاسُنَّـةَ أفْضَلُ مِنَ التَّحْقِيقِ.
هیچ سنتی برتر از حق‌جویی نیست.
There is no practice better than verification.
اَلحَقُّ سَيْفٌ قاطِعٌ.
حق شمشیری است بُرنده.
Truth is an incisive sword.
اَلْحَقُّ أفْضَلُ سَبِيل.
حق برترینِ راه‌هاست.
Truth is the best way.
اَلحَقُّ أقْوى ظَهِير.
حق نیرومندترینِ پشت‌گرمی‌هاست.
Truth is the strongest supporter.
اَلْحَقُّ أوْضَحُ سَبِيل.
حق روشن‌ترینِ راه‌هاست.
Truth is the clearest course.
اَلْحَقُّ أحَقُّ أنْ يُتَّبَعَ.
حق سزاوارتر است که پیروی شود.
The truth is worthier of being followed.
اَلتَّعاوُنُ عَلى إقامَةِ الحَقِّ أمانَةٌ ودِيانَةٌ.
همکاری بر برپاداشتنِ حق، امانت و دین‌داری است.
Assisting one another to establish the truth is [a sign of] trustworthiness and faith.
اَلحَقُّ سَيْفٌ عَلى أهْلِ الباطِلِ.
حق شمشیری است بر اهلِ باطل.
Truth is a sword [to fight] against the followers of falsehood.
اَلْحَقُّ مَنْجاةٌ لِكُلِّ عامِل (وحُجَّةٌ لِكُلِّ قائِل).
حق نجات‌بخشِ هر کردارگری است [و حجتِ هر گوینده].
Truth is a refuge for every worker (and an argument for every speaker).
بِالحَقِّ يَسْتَظْهِرُ المُحْتَجُّ.
به حق است که حجت‌آورنده پشت‌گرم شود.
Through truth, the petitioner gets support.
بِالعُدُولِ عَنِ الحَقِّ تَـكُونُ الضَّلالَةُ.
به عدول از حق است که گمراهی آید.
It is by turning away from the truth that misguidance comes about.
بِلُزُومِ الحَقِّ يَحْصُلُ الاِسْتِظْهارُ.
به پایبندی به حق است که پشت‌گرمی حاصل شود.
By clinging to the truth, support is received.
حَقٌّ وَباطِلٌ، ولِكُلّ أهْلٌ.
حق و باطل است و هر یک را اهل.
There is truth and falsehood, and each has its followers.
حَقٌّ يَضُـرُّخَيْرٌ مِنْ باطِل يَسُـرُّ.
حقی که زیان رساند بهتر است از باطلی که خوش آید.
Truth that harms is better than falsehood that brings joy.
خُضِ الغَمَراتِ إلَى الحَقِّ حَيْث كانَ.
در سختی‌ها به سوی حق بگذر، هر کجا که باشد.
Plunge into hardships to [arrive at] the truth wherever it may be.
