اِفْعَلُوا الخَيْرَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ، فَخَيْرٌ مِنَ الخَيرِ فاعِلُهُ.
خیر کنید تا آنجا که توانید؛ پس از خیر بهتر کردارش است.
Do good deeds as much as you can, for better than the good deed is the one who does it.

ألا إنَّ أبْصَرَ الأبْصارِ، مَنْ نَفَذَ فِي الخَيْرِ طَرْفُهُ.
آگاه باشید! بیناترینِ بینایی‌ها آن است که نگاهش در خیر نافذ شود.
Indeed, the most perceptive of seers is one whose gaze penetrates into good actions.
جِماعُ الخَيْرِ فِي المُشاوَرَةِ، والأخْذِ بِقَولِ النَّصيحِ.
گردآوریِ خیر در مشورت و گرفتنِ سخنِ خیرخواه است.
The consolidation of good is in seeking advice and acting upon words of the sincere adviser.
جِماعُ الخَيْرِ فِي المُوالاةِ فِي اللّهِ، والمُعاداةِ فِي اللّهِ، والمَحَبَّةِ فِي اللّهِ، والبُغْضِ فِي اللّهِ.
گردآوریِ خیر در دوستی در خدا و دشمنی در خدا و محبت در خدا و بغض در خداست.
The consolidation of good is in making friendship for the sake of Allah and making enmity for the sake of Allah; [in] loving for the sake of Allah and hating for the sake of Allah.
جِماعُ الخَيرِ في أعمالِ البِرِّ.
گردآوریِ خیر در اعمالِ نیکی است.
Consolidation of good is in [performing] virtuous actions.
رُبَّ خَيْر وافاكَ مِنْ حَيْثُ لا تَرْقَبُهُ.
بسا خیری که از جایی که گمانش نداری به تو رسد.
Sometimes good may come upon you from where you least expect it.
مَنْ لَبِسَ الخَيْرَ تَعَرَّى مِنَ الشَّـرِّ.
هر که خیر را بپوشد، از شرّ برهنه شود.
Whoever wears [the garment of] virtue disrobes himself of evil.
مَنْ فَعَلَ الخَيْرَ فَبِنَفْسِهِ بَدَأ.
هر که خیر کند، با خود آغاز کرده است.
One who does good has [actually] started with [gaining its benefit] himself.
مَن زَرَعَ خَيْراً حَصَدَ أجْراً.
هر که خیر بکارد، مزد درود.
One who plants good, reaps reward.
مَنْ لَمْ يَعْرِفِ الخَيْرَ مِنَ الشَّـرِّ فَهُوَ مِنَ البَهائِمِ.
هر که خیر را از شرّ نشناسد، از چارپایان است.
Whoever does not know how to distinguish good from evil, then he is [actually] from the beasts.
مَنْ لَمْ يَعْرِفْ مَنْفِعَةَ الخَيرِ لَمْ يَقْدِرْ عَلَى العَملِ بِهِ.
هر که سودِ خیر را نشناسد، بر عمل به آن توانا نشود.
One who does not know the benefit of a good action will not be capable of performing it.
مَنْ قَدَّمَ خَيْراً وَجَدَهُ.
هر که خیر پیش فرستد، یابدش.
One who sends forth a good deed will find it [in the Hereafter].
مَنْ قَصَـرَّ عَنْ فِعْلِ الخَيْرِ خَسـِرَ ونَدِمَ.
هر که از کردارِ خیر کوتاه آید، زیان کند و پشیمان شود.
One who is falls short in performing good deeds, loses and regrets.
مِنْ أماراتِ الخَيْرِ الكَفُّ عَنِ الأذى.
از نشانه‌های خیر بازایستادن از آزار است.
From the signs of goodness is refraining from harming others.
ما خَيْرٌ بَعْدَهُ النّارُ بِخَيْر.
خیری که پس از آن آتش باشد، خیر نیست.
The good deed that is followed by hellfire is not a good deed.
لاتَعُدَّنَّ شَرّاً ما أدْرَكْتَ بِهِ خَيْراً.
آنچه بدان خیری دریابی، شرّ مشمار.
Never count as evil that through which you realized good.
لاتَعْمَلْ شَيْئاً مِنَ الخَيرِ رِياءً، ولا تَتْرُكْهُ حَياءً.
چیزی از خیر را ریا مکن و از روی شرمش وانمگذار.
Do not perform any good action in order to show off and do not abandon it out of shame.
لايَقُولَنَّ أحَدُكُمْ إنَّ أحَداً أولى بِفِعْلِ الخَيْرِ مِنّي فَيَكونَ واللّهِ كَذلِكَ، إنَّ لِلْخَيرِ والشَّـرِّ أهْلاً فَمَهْما تَرَكْتُمُوهُ كَفاكُمُوهُ أهْلُهُ.
هیچ‌یک از شما نگوید که کسی به کردارِ خیر از من سزاوارتر است؛ سوگند به خدا که چنین باشد. خیر و شرّ را اهل است؛ پس هرچه شما واگذارید، اهلش کفایتتان کنند.
None of you should ever say: ‘indeed there is one who is more worthy of doing the good action than me,’ for it will, by Allah, become that way. Verily for good and evil there are adherents, so whenever you leave it, its adherents perform it in your place.
ما قَدَّمْتَهُ مِنْ خَير فَعِندَ مَنْ لا يَبْخَسُ الثَّوابَ، ومَا ارْتَكَبْتَهُ مِنْ شَرّ فَعِندَ مَنْ لا يُعْجِزُهُ العِقابُ.
آنچه از خیر پیش فرستادی نزد آن است که مزد را نکاهد و آنچه از شرّ مرتکب شدی نزد آن است که کیفرش ناتوان نکند.
That which you send forth of good deeds is [preserved] with the One who does not diminish [its] reward and that which you commit from evil actions is [preserved] with the One who is not incapable of [meting out] punishment.
مِلاكُ الخَيْرِ مُبادَرَتُهُ.
مایهٔ قوامِ خیر شتاب در آن است.
The essential prerequisite of good action is taking the initiative in [performing] it.
