مایهٔ قوامِ هر خیری اطاعتِ خدای سبحان است.

حکمت ۲۹۸۱ تا ۳۰۰۰Sayings 2981 to 3000
مِفْتاحُ الخَيْرِ التَّبَـرّي مِنَ الشَّـرِّ.
کلیدِ خیر بیزاری از شرّ است.
The key to goodness is renouncing evil.
شَرٌّ لايَدُومُ خَيْرٌ مِن خَيْر لا يَدُومُ.
شرّی که پایدار نماند بهتر است از خیری که پایدار نماند.
An evil [action] that does not last is better than a good [deed] that does not last.
طالِبُ الخَيْرِ بِعَمَلِ الشَّـرِّ فاسِدُ العَقْلِ والحِسِّ.
خواهندهٔ خیر به کردارِ شرّ، خِرَد و حسش تباه است.
The one who seeks goodness through evil action, his mind and senses are corrupt.
ظَفَرَ بِالخَيْرِ مَنْ طَلَبَهُ.
به خیر دست یابد آن که طلبش کند.
He who seeks good will triumph by it.
عَزيمَةُ الخَيرِ تُطْفِىءُ نارَ الشَّـرِّ.
عزمِ خیر آتشِ شرّ را خاموش کند.
The determination to do good extinguishes the fire of evil.
غارِسُ شَجَرةِ الخَيْرِ تَجْتَنيها أحْلى ثَمَرَة.
کارندهٔ درختِ خیر آن را شیرین‌ترین میوه درچیند.
The planter of the tree of good reaps the sweetest fruit.
لَنْ تَتَحَقَّقَ الخَيرَ حتّى تَتَبَـرَّأ مِنَ الشَّـرِّ.
به خیر دست نیازی تا از شرّ بیزاری نجویی.
You will never realize good until you renounce evil.
لَيْسَ بِخَير مِنَ الخَيرِ إلاَّ ثَوابُهُ.
از خیر جز پاداشش خیر نیست.
There is nothing better than [a] good [deed] except its reward.
لَيْسَ الخَيـْرُ أن يَكْثُرَ مالُكَ ووَلَدُكَ، إنَّما الخَيْرُ أنْ يَكْثُرَ عِلْمُكَ، وَيَعْظُمَ حِلْمُكَ.
خیر آن نیست که مالت و فرزندت فزون شود؛ خیر همان است که دانشت فزون شود و بردباری‌ات بزرگ.
Goodness is not in having more wealth and children, rather goodness is only in possessing more knowledge and greater forbearance.
مَنْ قَدَّمَ الخَيرَ غَنِمَ.
هر که خیر پیش فرستد، غنیمت برد.
One who advances good, gains.
فاعِلُ الخَيرِ خَيْرٌ مِنْهُ.
کردارگرِ خیر از آن بهتر است.
The doer of [a] good [deed] is better than it.
فِعْلُ الخَيْرِ ذَخيرَةٌ باقِيَةٌ، وثَمَرَةٌ زاكِيَةٌ.
کردارِ خیر اندوخته‌ای ماندگار و میوه‌ای روینده است.
The good action is a lasting store and a pure fruitage.
قَدِّمُوا خَيراً تَغْنَمُوا، وأخْلِصُوا أعْمالَكُمْ تَسْعَدُوا.
خیر پیش فرستید تا غنیمت برید و اعمالتان را مخلص کنید تا نیکبخت شوید.
Send forth good actions and you will gain [in the Hereafter]; purify your actions [by performing them sincerely for Allah] and you will be felicitous.
لأن تَـكُونَ تابِعاً لِلخَيْرِ خَيرٌ لَكَ مِنْ أنْ تَـكُونَ مَتْبُوعاً فِي الشَّـرِّ.
پیروِ خیر بودن برایت بهتر است از پیروی‌شده در شرّ بودن.
Indeed, being a follower in good is [much] better for you than being a leader in evil.
لَنْ يُجزى جَزاءَ الخَيْرِ إلاَّ فاعِلُهُ.
پاداشِ خیر را جز کردارش ندهند.
Nobody will ever be given the reward of a good action except the one who performs it.
أرْبَعٌ مَنْ اُعْطِيَهُنَّ فَقَدْ اُعْطِيَ خَيْرَ الدُّنْيا وَالآخِرَةِ: صِدْقُ حَديث، وَأداءُ أمانَة، وعِفَّةُ بَطْن، وحُسْنُ خُلق.
چهار چیز است که هر که به او داده شود، خیرِ دنیا و آخرت به او داده شده است: راستیِ سخن و ادای امانت و پاکدامنیِ شکم و نیکوییِ خوی.
Four [qualities] are such that whoever they have been given to has been given the good of this world and the Hereafter: truthful speech, fulfilling the trust, abstinence from consuming what is forbidden and good character.
ثَلاثٌ مَنْ كُنَّ فيهِ فَقَدْ رُزِقَ خَيْرَ الدُّنْيا وَالآخِرَةِ: هُنَّ الرِّضا بِالقَضاءِ، وَالصَّبْرُ عَلَى البَلاءِ، وَالشُّكْرُ فِي الرَّخاءِ.
سه چیز است که هر که در او باشد، خیرِ دنیا و آخرت روزی‌اش شده است: خشنودی به قضا و صبر بر بلا و سپاس در آسایش.
Three [traits] are such that whoever possesses them has been bestowed with the good of this world and the Hereafter. They are: being satisfied with what has been decreed [by Allah], patience in the face of hardship and thankfulness in times of ease [and prosperity].
اِسْتَخِرْ ولا تَتَخَيَّرْ، فَكَمْ مَنْ تَخَيَّرَ أمْراً كانَ هَلاكُهُ فيهِ.
استخاره کن و خودگزینی مکن؛ چه بسیارند آن که کاری را برگزیدند و هلاکتشان در آن بود.
Seek what is best and do not chose what you want, for how many a person who has chosen what he wanted and found his own destruction in it!
إذا أمْضَيْتَ فَاسْتَخِرْ.
چون کاری را به انجام رساندی، استخاره کن.
When you embark on something, seek what is best from it.
