أيْنَ تَضِلُّ عُقُولُكُم، وتَزيغُ نُفُوسُكُمْ، أتَسْتَبْدِلُونَ الكِذْبَ بِالصِّدقِ، وَتَعْتاضُونَ الباطِلَ بِالحَقِّ؟
خِرَدهایتان کجا گم شود و جان‌هایتان کجا کج رود؟ آیا راستی را به دروغ بدل می‌کنید و حق را به باطل می‌فروشید؟
Where are your minds straying and your souls deviating [to]? Do you seek to substitute facts for lies and exchange truth for falsehood?
أفْضَلُ السَّعادَةِ اِسْتِقامَةُ الدّينِ.
برترینِ نیکبختی استواریِ دین است.
The greatest felicity is [in] the uprightness of religion.
يَسيرُ الدّينِ خَيرٌ مِنْ كَثيرِ الدُّنيا.
دینِ اندک بهتر است از دنیای بسیار.
Little religion is better than plenty of worldly possession.
أدْيَنُ النّاسِ مَنْ لَمْ تُفْسِدِ الشَّهْوَةُ دينَهُ.
دیندارترینِ مردم آن است که شهوت دینش را تباه نکند.
The most religious of all people is one whose religiosity is not corrupted by [lustful] desire.
أفْضَلُ الدِّينِ قَصْرُ الأمَلِ، وأعْلَى العِبادَةِ إخْلاصُ العَمَلِ.
برترینِ دین کوتاه‌کردنِ آرزو است و والاترینِ عبادت مخلص‌کردنِ عمل.
The best religion is cutting short [false] aspirations, and the highest worship is being sincere in your action.
إنَّ اللّهَ سُبْحانَهُ يُعْطِي الدُّنيا مَنْ يُحِبُّ ومَنْ لايُحِبُّ، ولا يُعْطِي الدِّينَ إلاّ مَنْ يُحِبُّ.
خدای سبحان دنیا را به آن که دوست دارد و آن که دوست ندارد دهَد و دین را جز به آن که دوست دارد ندهد.
Verily Allah, the Glorified, grants this world to [both] the one whom He loves and the one whom He does not love, but He grants religion only to the one whom He loves.
إنَّ اللّهَ تعالى لا يُعْطِي الدِّينَ إلاّ لِخاصَّتِهِ وصَفْوَتِهِ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ.
خدای تعالی دین را جز به خاصگان و برگزیدگانش از آفریدگانش ندهد.
Verily Allah, the Most High, does not give the religion except to His chosen ones and the elite from among His creation.
إنَّ أفْضَلَ الدِّينِ الحُبُّ فِي اللّهِ، والبُغْضُ فِي اللّهِ والأخْذُ فِي اللّهِ، وَالعَطاءُ فِي اللّهِ سُبْحانَه.
برترینِ دین دوستی در خدا و دشمنی در خدا و گرفتن در خدا و بخشیدن در خدای سبحان است.
Indeed the best religion is loving for the sake of Allah, hating for the sake of Allah, taking for the sake of Allah and giving for the sake of Allah, the Glorified.
إنَّ الدّينَ كَشَجَرَة أصْلُها اليَقينُ بِاللّهِ، وثَمَرُهاَ المُوالاةُ فِي اللّهِ والمُعاداةُ فِي اللّهِ سُبْحانَهُ.
دین چون درختی است که ریشه‌اش یقین به خدا و میوه‌اش دوستی در خدا و دشمنی در خدای سبحان است.
Indeed the religion [of Islam] is like a tree, its roots are certitude in Allah and its fruits are befriending for the sake of Allah and having enmity for the sake of Allah, the Glorified.
إنَّ اللّهَ سُبْحانَهُ قَدْ أنارَ سَبيلَ الحَقِّ، وأوْضَحَ طُرُقَهُ، فَشِقْوَةٌ لازِمَةٌ، أوْ سَعادةٌ دائِمَةٌ.
خدای سبحان راهِ حق را روشن و مسیرهایش را آشکار کرده است؛ پس یا بدبختیِ ماندگار است یا نیکبختیِ پایدار.
Verily Allah, the Glorified, has illuminated the path of truth and has clarified its ways, so [there is] either inescapable wretchedness or eternal felicity.
الدّينُ يَعْصِمُ.
دین باز دارد.
Religion safeguards.
الدِّينُ يُجِلُّ، الدُّنيا تُذِلُّ.
دین بزرگوار کند و دنیا خوار.
Religion exalts, this world humiliates.
الدِّينُ حُبُورٌ.
دین شادمانی است.
Religion is [the path to] joy.
الدّينُ نُورٌ، اَليَقينُ حُبُورٌ.
دین نور است و یقین شادمانی.
Religion is light, certitude is joy.
الدّينُ أفْضَلُ مَطْلُوب.
دین برترینِ خواسته است.
Religion is the greatest pursuit.
الدّينُ أقْوى عِماد.
دین نیرومندترینِ ستون است.
Religion is the strongest pillar.
الشَّريعَةُ رِياضَةُ النَّفْسِ.
شریعت ریاضتِ نفس است.
The Sharī‘ah is [for] disciplining the self.
الشَّريعَةُ صَلاحُ البَريَّةِ.
شریعت صلاحِ آفریدگان است.
The Sharī‘ah is for the benefit [and reformation] of mankind.
الدّينُ ذُخْرٌ، والعِلمُ دَليلٌ.
دین اندوخته است و دانش راهنما.
Religion is a treasure and knowledge is a guide [to it].
