اَلدّينُ يَصُدُّ عَنِ المَحارِمِ.
دین از محرّمات باز دارد.
Religion deters [one] from the unlawful.
اَلدّينُ لايُصْلِحُهُ إلاّ العَقْلُ.
دین را جز خِرَد نیکو نکند.
Religion is not reformed except by the intellect.
إنْ جَعَلْتَ دينَكَ تَـبَعاً لِدُنياكَ أهْلَكْتَ دينَكَ ودُنْياكَ، وكُنْتَ فِي الآخِرَةِ مِنَ الخاسِرينَ.
اگر دینت را پیروِ دنیایت سازی، دین و دنیایت را هلاک کنی و در آخرت از زیانکاران باشی.
If you make your religion follow your worldly desires, you will have destroyed your religion and your [life in this] world, and you will be among the losers in the Hereafter.
ثَمَرَةُ الدّينِ اَلأمانَةُ.
میوهٔ دین امانت‌داری است.
The fruit of religion is trustworthiness.
ثَمَرَةُ الدّينِ قُوَّةُ اليقينِ.
میوهٔ دین نیرومندیِ یقین است.
The fruit of religion is strong conviction.
ثَلاثٌ هُنَّ شَيْنُ الدّينِ: اَلفُجُورُ،وَ الغَدْرُ، والخيانَةُ.
سه چیز است که ننگِ دین‌اند: فجور و غدر و خیانت.
Three things are the disgrace of religion: lewdness, treachery and betrayal [of trust].
ثَلاثٌ هُنَّ جِماعُ الدّينِ: اَلِعفَّةُ، والوَرَعُ، والحَياءُ.
سه چیز است که گردآورندهٔ دین‌اند: پاکدامنی و پارسایی و حیا.
Three things are the consolidators of religion: chastity, piety and modesty.
ثَلاثٌ هُنَّ كَمالُ الدّينِ: الإخلاصُ، واليَقينُ، والتَّقَنُّعُ.
سه چیز است که کمالِ دین‌اند: اخلاص و یقین و قناعت.
Three things are the perfection of religion: sincerity, certitude and contentment.
ثَباتُ الدّينِ بِقُوَّةِ اليَقينِ.
استواریِ دین به نیرومندیِ یقین است.
The steadfastness of religion is through the strength of conviction.
جِماعُ الدّينِ في إخلاصِ العَمَلِ، وتَقْصيرِ الأمَلِ، وبَذْلِ الإحسانِ، والكَفِّ عَنِ القَبيحِ.
گردآوریِ دین در مخلص‌کردنِ عمل و کوتاه‌کردنِ آرزو و بخشیدنِ نیکی و بازایستادن از زشتی است.
The consolidation of religion is in sincerity of action, cutting short [false] aspirations, doing good to others and refraining from ugly deeds.
جَمالُ الدّينِ الوَرَعُ.
زیباییِ دین پارسایی است.
The beauty of religion is piety.
حُسْنُ الدّينِ مِنْ قُوَّةِ اليَقينِ.
نیکوییِ دین از نیرومندیِ یقین است.
The excellence of [one’s adherence to] religion stems from the strength of [one’s] certitude.
حِفْظُ الدّينِ ثَمَرةُ المَعْرِفَةِ، ورأسُ الحِكْمَةِ.
نگاهداریِ دین میوهٔ معرفت و سرآمدِ حکمت است.
Preserving the faith is the fruit of cognizance and the peak of wisdom.
حَصِّنُو ا الدّينَ بِالدُّنيا، ولا تُحَصِّنُوا الدُّنيا بِالدّينِ.
دین را با دنیا استوار کنید و دنیا را با دین استوار مکنید.
Safeguard the religion through [the means of] this world and do not safeguard this world through the religion.
خَيْرُ أُمُورِ الدّينِ الوَرَعُ.
بهترینِ کارهای دین پارسایی است.
The best course of religion is piety.
دَليلُ دينِ العَبْدِ وَرَعُهُ.
دلیلِ دینِ بنده پارساییِ اوست.
The sign of a servant’s faith is his piety.
ذُدْ عَنْ شَرايِع الدّينِ، وَحُطْ ثُغُورَ المُسْلِمينَ، وأحرِزْ دينَكَ وَأمانَتـَكَ بِإنْصافِكَ مِنْ نَفْسِكَ، والعَمَلِ بِالعَدْلِ في رَعِيَّتِكَ.
از شرایعِ دین دفاع کن و مرزهای مسلمانان را پاس دار و دین و امانتت را با انصاف از خود و عمل به عدل در رعیتت نگاه دار.
Defend the religious laws, protect the borders of the Muslim lands and safeguard your religion and your trust through your impartiality towards yourself and acting justly among your subjects.
رَأسُ الدّينِ اِكْتِسابُ الحَسَناتِ.
سرآمدِ دین اندوختنِ نیکی‌هاست.
The cornerstone of religion is acquiring good deeds.
زَيْنُ الدّينِ العَقْلُ.
زینتِ دین خِرَد است.
The adornment of religion is intelligence.
