عَلَيْكَ بِذِكْرِ اللّهِ فَإنَّهُ نُورُ القَلْبِ.
بر تو باد یادِ خدا؛ چرا که نورِ دل است.
You must espouse the remembrance of Allah for it is surely the light of the heart.

فِي الذِّكْرِ حَياةُ القُلُوبِ.
در ذکر زندگیِ دل‌هاست.
In the remembrance of Allah there is life for the hearts.
مَنْ ذَكَرَ اللّهَ ذَكَرَهُ.
هر که خدا را یاد کند، یادش کند.
Whoever remembers Allah, He remembers him.
مَنْ ذَكَرَ اللّهَ اِسْتَبْصَرَ.
هر که خدا را یاد کند، بینا شود.
One who remembers Allah is gains insight.
مَنِ اشتَغَلَ بِذِكْرِ النّاسِ قَطَعَهُ اللّهُ سُبْحانَهُ عَنْ ذِكْرِهِ.
هر که به یادِ مردم بپردازد، خدای سبحان او را از یادِ خود ببرَد.
Whoever is preoccupied in remembering the people, Allah, the Glorified, cuts him off from His remembrance.
مَنِ اشْتَغَلَ بِذِكْرِ اللّهِ طَـيَّبَ اللّهُ ذِكْرَهُ.
هر که به یادِ خدا بپردازد، خدا یادش را خوش کند.
Whoever is preoccupied in the remembrance of Allah, Allah makes his remembrance good.
مَنْ َعَمَرَ قَلْبَهُ بِدَوامِ الذِّكْرِ حَسُنَتْ أفْعالُهُ فِي السِّـرِّ وَالجَهْرِ.
هر که دلش را به دوامِ ذکر آباد کند، کردارش در نهان و آشکار نیکو شود.
Whoever fills his heart with the constant remembrance of Allah, his actions become good [both] in secret and in the open.
مَنْ ذَكَرَاللّهَ سُبْحانَهُ أحْييَ اللّهُ قَلْبَهُ وَنَوَّرَ عَقْلَهُ ولُبَّهُ.
هر که خدای سبحان را یاد کند، خدا دلش را زنده کند و خِرَد و جانِ فهمیده‌اش را روشن سازد.
Whoever remembers Allah, the Glorified, Allah enlivens his heart and illuminates his intellect and his mind.
مَنْ كَثُرَ ذِكْرُهُ اِسْتَنارَ لُبُّهُ.
هر که ذکرش فزون شود، جانِ فهمیده‌اش روشن شود.
One whose remembrance [of Allah] increases, his mind becomes illuminated.
مُداوَمَةُ الذِّكْرِ خُلْصانُ الأوْلِياءِ.
دوامِ ذکر برگزیدگیِ اولیاست.
Constant remembrance [of Allah] is the quality of the friends [of Allah].
مُداوَمَةُ الذِّكْرِ قُوتُ الأرْواحِ، ومِفْتاحُ الصَّلاحِ.
دوامِ ذکر خوراکِ روح‌ها و کلیدِ صلاح است.
The constant remembrance [of Allah] is nourishment for the souls and the key to righteousness.
لاتَذْكُرِ اللّهَ سُبْحانَهُ ساهِياً، وَلا تَنْسَهُ لاهِياً،وَ اذْكُرْهُ كامِلاً، يُوافِقْ فيهِ قَلْبُكَ لِسانَكَ، ويُطابِقْ إضمارُكَ إعلانَكَ، ولَنْ تَذْكُرَهُ حَقيقَةَ الذِّكْرِ حَتّى تَنْسى نَفْسَكَ في ذِكْرِكَ، وَتَفْقِدَها في أمْرِكَ.
خدای سبحان را غافل یاد مکن و لهوکننده فراموشش مکن و او را کامل یاد کن، به گونه‌ای که دلت با زبانت سازد و نهانت با آشکارت برابر شود؛ و هرگز یادِ حقیقی‌اش نکنی تا خود را در ذکرت فراموش کنی و در کارش از دست دهی.
Do not remember Allah, the Glorified, in a state of inattentiveness, and do not forget Him by being distracted [with the amusements of this world], and remember Him perfectly such that your heart is in agreement with your tongue and your inward is in accordance with your outward; and you will never remember Him with the befitting remembrance until you forget your ego in your remembrance and lose it in your affair [because all your attention is towards Allah].
لاهِدايَةَ كَالذِّكْرِ.
هیچ هدایتی چون ذکر نیست.
There is no guidance like remembrance [and glorification of Allah].
ذاكِرُ اللّهِ سُبْحانَهُ مُجالِسُهُ.
یادکنندهٔ خدای سبحان همنشینِ اوست.
The one who remembers Allah is in His Company.
ذاكِرُ اللّهِ مُؤانِسُهُ.
یادکنندهٔ خدا اُنس‌یافتهٔ اوست.
The one who remembers Allah is His intimate friend.
ذاكِرُ اللّهِ مِنَ الفائِزينَ.
یادکنندهٔ خدا از رستگاران است.
The one who remembers Allah is from the successful ones.
مَنْ ذَكَّرَكَ فَقَدْ أنْذَرَكَ. [^1]: Meaning one who is fondly remembered after his death is like one who is still alive.
هر که پندت دهد، بیمت داده است.
One who reminds you [of Allah and the Hereafter] is has surely warned you [against evil].
الذُّنوبُ الدّاءُ، والدَّواءُ الاِسْتِغفارُ،وَ الشِّفاءُ أنْ لا تَعُودَ.
گناه درد است و دارو استغفار و شفا آن که بازنگردی.
Vices are a disease, and its remedy is seeking forgiveness, and its cure is not repeating [the vices].
تَهْوينُ الذَّنبِ أعْظَمُ مِنْ رُكُوبِ الذَّنْبِ.
آسان‌شمردنِ گناه بزرگ‌تر است از مرتکب‌شدنِ گناه.
Taking a sin lightly is worse than committing the sin.
تَرْكُ الذَّنْبِ شَديدٌ، وأشَدُّ مِنْهُ تَرْكُ الجَنَّةِ.
ترکِ گناه سخت است و سخت‌تر از آن ترکِ بهشت.
Giving up sin is difficult, but giving up Paradise is [going to be] more difficult.
