حکمت ۳۷۰۱ — موضوع ۲۲۳ · Vices And Those Who Commit ThemSaying 3701 — Vices And Those Who Commit Themتَأتينا أشْياءُ نَسْتَكْثِرُها إذا جَمَعْناها، وَنَسْتَقِلُّها إذا قَسَمْناها.
چیزهایی به ما رسد که چون گردشان آوریم بسیار شماریم و چون تقسیمشان کنیم اندک شماریم.
Things come to us that seem to be much when we amass them but which we consider to be less when we divide them.
حکمت ۳۷۰۲ — موضوع ۲۲۳ · Vices And Those Who Commit ThemSaying 3702 — Vices And Those Who Commit Themاِحْذَرُوا الذُّنُوبَ المُورِطَةَ، والعُيُوبَ المُسْخِطَةَ.
از گناهانِ ورطه‌افکن و عیب‌های خشم‌آورنده بپرهیزید.
Be careful of the sins that lead you to deep trouble the vices that bring the wrath of Allah.
حکمت ۳۷۰۳ — موضوع ۲۲۳ · Vices And Those Who Commit ThemSaying 3703 — Vices And Those Who Commit Themإيّاكَ وانْتِهاكَ المَحارِمِ، فَإنَّها شيمَةُ الفُسّاقِ وأُولِي الفُجُورِ، والغَوايَةِ.
از شکستنِ حرمت‌ها بپرهیز؛ چرا که آن خویِ فاسقان و صاحبانِ فجور و گمراهی است.
Refrain from desecration of the sacred, for indeed this is the practice of the wicked and the people of depravity and vice.
حکمت ۳۷۰۴ — موضوع ۲۲۳ · Vices And Those Who Commit ThemSaying 3704 — Vices And Those Who Commit Themإيّاكَ والإصْرارَ، فَإنَّهُ مِنْ أكْبَرِ الكَبائِرِ وأعَظَمِ الجَرائِمِ.
از اصرار [بر گناه] بپرهیز؛ چرا که از بزرگ‌ترینِ گناهانِ کبیره و بزرگ‌ترینِ جنایت‌هاست.
Refrain from persistence [in committing vices] for it is surely the gravest of great sins and the worst of offences.
حکمت ۳۷۰۵ — موضوع ۲۲۳ · Vices And Those Who Commit ThemSaying 3705 — Vices And Those Who Commit Themإيّاكَ والمُجاهَرَةَ بِالفُجُورِ، فَإنَّها مِنْ أشَدِّ المَ آثِمِ.
از آشکارکردنِ فجور بپرهیز؛ چرا که از سخت‌ترینِ گناهان است.
Refrain from exposing [your] sins, for this is one of the worst of offences.
حکمت ۳۷۰۶ — موضوع ۲۲۳ · Vices And Those Who Commit ThemSaying 3706 — Vices And Those Who Commit Themإيّاكَ والمعصِيَةَ، فَإنَّ اللَئيمَ (الشَّقيَّ) مَنْ باعَ جَنَّـةَ المَأوى بِمَعْصِيَة دَنِيَّة مِنْ مَعاصِي الدُّنيا.
از معصیت بپرهیز؛ چرا که فرومایه [یا بدبخت] آن است که بهشتِ مأوی را به معصیتی پست از معاصیِ دنیا فروشد.
Refrain from vices, for the one who sells the eternal Paradise for a vile sin from the sins of this world is indeed wretched.
حکمت ۳۷۰۷ — موضوع ۲۲۳ · Vices And Those Who Commit ThemSaying 3707 — Vices And Those Who Commit Themإيّاكَ أنْ تَسْتَسْهِلَ رُكُوبَ المَعاصي، فَإنَّها تَـكْسُوكَ فِي الدُّنيا ذِلَّةً، وتَـكْسِبُكَ فِي الآخِرَةِ سَخَطَ اللّهِ.
بپرهیز که مرتکب‌شدنِ معاصی را آسان شماری؛ چرا که در دنیا خواری‌ات پوشاند و در آخرت خشمِ خدا برایت اندوزد.
Do not take the committing of vices lightly, for verily it will cover you with humiliation in this world and earn you the wrath of Allah in the Hereafter.
حکمت ۳۷۰۸ — موضوع ۲۲۳ · Vices And Those Who Commit ThemSaying 3708 — Vices And Those Who Commit Themألا وإنَّ الخَطايا خَيْلٌ شُمُسٌ حُمِلَ عَلَيْها أهْلُها، وخُلِعَتْ لُجُمُها فَأوْرَدَتْهُمُ النَّارَ.
آگاه باشید! خطاها اسب‌های سرکش‌اند که صاحبانشان بر آن‌ها سوار شوند و لگام‌هایشان کنده شود و آنان را به آتش درآورد.
Verily wrongdoings are [like] wild horses that carry their riders on their backs while their bridles have been thrown off, so they take them [straight] into the fire of hell.
حکمت ۳۷۰۹ — موضوع ۲۲۳ · Vices And Those Who Commit ThemSaying 3709 — Vices And Those Who Commit Themأكْبَرُ الأَوْزارِ تَزْكِيَةُ الأشْرارِ.
بزرگ‌ترینِ بارها پاک‌شمردنِ اشرار است.
The greatest misdeed is recommending the vicious.
حکمت ۳۷۱۰ — موضوع ۲۲۳ · Vices And Those Who Commit ThemSaying 3710 — Vices And Those Who Commit Themأعْظَمُ الوِزْرِ مَنْعُ قَبُولِ العُذْرِ.
بزرگ‌ترینِ گناه بازداشتنِ پذیرشِ عذر است.
The worst misdeed is refusing to accept an excuse [that is valid].
حکمت ۳۷۱۱ — موضوع ۲۲۳ · Vices And Those Who Commit ThemSaying 3711 — Vices And Those Who Commit Themأعظَمُ الذُّنُوبِ عِنْدَ اللّهِ ذَنْبٌ أصَرَّ عَلَيْهِ عامِلُهُ.
بزرگ‌ترینِ گناهان نزد خدا گناهی است که کردارش بر آن اصرار ورزد.
The worst of sins in the sight of Allah is the sin upon which its doer persists.
حکمت ۳۷۱۲ — موضوع ۲۲۳ · Vices And Those Who Commit ThemSaying 3712 — Vices And Those Who Commit Themأشَدُّ الذُّنُوبِ عِنْدَ اللّهِ سُبْحانَهُ ذَنْبٌ اِسْتَهانَ بِهِ راكِبُهُ.
سخت‌ترینِ گناهان نزد خدای سبحان گناهی است که مرتکبش آن را سبک شمارد.
The gravest of sins in the sight of Allah, the Glorified, is the sin which is taken lightly by the one who commits it.
حکمت ۳۷۱۳ — موضوع ۲۲۳ · Vices And Those Who Commit ThemSaying 3713 — Vices And Those Who Commit Themأسْرَعُ المَعاصي عُقُوبَةً أنْ تَبْغِيَ على مَنْ لا يَبْغي علَيْكَ.
شتابنده‌ترینِ معاصی در کیفر آن است که بر آن که بر تو ستم نکند ستم رانی.
The vice that brings the quickest retribution is oppressing the one who does not oppress you.
حکمت ۳۷۱۴ — موضوع ۲۲۳ · Vices And Those Who Commit ThemSaying 3714 — Vices And Those Who Commit Themأقْبَحُ المَعاصي قَطيعَةُ الرَّحِمِ والعُقُوقُ.
زشت‌ترینِ معاصی بریدنِ رحم و عاقِ والدین شدن است.
The vilest of sins is cutting off ties with near relatives and impiety [with one’s parents].
حکمت ۳۷۱۵ — موضوع ۲۲۳ · Vices And Those Who Commit ThemSaying 3715 — Vices And Those Who Commit Themأعْظَمُ الذُّنُوبِ ذَنبٌ أصَرَّ عَلَيْهِ صاحِبُهُ.
بزرگ‌ترینِ گناهان گناهی است که صاحبش بر آن اصرار ورزد.
The gravest of sins is the sin upon which the sinner persists.
حکمت ۳۷۱۶ — موضوع ۲۲۳ · Vices And Those Who Commit ThemSaying 3716 — Vices And Those Who Commit Themإنَّ أسْوَءَ المَعاصي مَغَبَّةً ألْغَيُّ.
بدفرجام‌ترینِ معاصی گمراهی است.
Verily the vice with the worst of consequences is error [and misguidance].
حکمت ۳۷۱۷ — موضوع ۲۲۳ · Vices And Those Who Commit ThemSaying 3717 — Vices And Those Who Commit Themإنَّ اللّهَ سُبْحانَهُ لَيُبْغِضُ الوَقِحَ المُتَجَرِّئَ علَى المَاصي.
خدای سبحان بی‌حیای جرأت‌کننده بر معاصی را دشمن دارد.
Verily Allah, the Glorified, hates the one who is insolent and bold in committing sins.
حکمت ۳۷۱۸ — موضوع ۲۲۳ · Vices And Those Who Commit ThemSaying 3718 — Vices And Those Who Commit Themإنَّ عَدُوَّ مُحَمَّد صلَّى اللّه عليه وآله وسلَّم مَنْ عَصَى اللّهَ وإنْ قَرُبَتْ قَرابَتُهُ.
دشمنِ محمد (ص) آن است که خدا را نافرمانی کند، هرچند خویشاوندی‌اش نزدیک باشد.
Indeed one who disobeys Allah is the enemy of Muhammad (s), even if he is the nearest of his relatives.
حکمت ۳۷۱۹ — موضوع ۲۲۳ · Vices And Those Who Commit ThemSaying 3719 — Vices And Those Who Commit Themإنَّ حِلْمَ اللّهِ تعالى علَى المَعاصي جَرَّأَكَ، وبِهَلَكَةِ نَفْسِكَ أغْراكَ.
بردباریِ خدای تعالی بر معاصی تو را جرأت داده و به هلاکتِ جانت فریفته‌ات.
Verily the clemency shown by Allah, the Most High, despite [your] acts of disobedience has made you bold and has driven you to [do things that will] destroy yourself.
حکمت ۳۷۲۰ — موضوع ۲۲۳ · Vices And Those Who Commit ThemSaying 3720 — Vices And Those Who Commit Themألإصرارُ شيمَةُ الفُّجارِ.
اصرار خویِ فجّار است.
Persistence [in sinning] is the practice of the depraved.
