بِالمَعصِيَةِ تَكُونُ الشَّقاءُ.
به معصیت بدبختی آید.
Through disobedience [to Allah] the [gate of] hellfire is closed for the aberrant [and they are unable to escape it].

بِالمَعْصِيَةِ تُؤْصَدُ النّارُ لِلْغاوينَ.
به معصیت آتش بر گمراهان بسته شود.
How evil an action disobedience [to Allah] is!
بِئسَ العَمَلُ المَعْصيَةُ.
چه بد عملی است معصیت!
Avoid disobeying Allah and you will be successful.
تَوَقَّ مَعاصِيَ اللّهِ تُفْلِحْ.
از معاصیِ خدا پروا کن تا رستگار شوی.
Guard yourself against sins and restrain yourselves from them, for indeed, wretched is the one who gives them free rein.
تَوَقُّوا المَعاصِيَ، واحْبِسُوا أنْفُسَكُمْ عَنْها، فَإنَّ الشَّقِيَّ مَنْ أطْلَقَ فيها عِنانَهُ.
از معاصی پروا کنید و جان‌هایتان را از آن باز دارید؛ چرا که بدبخت آن است که در آن افسارش را رها کند.
Exalted is Allah, the Mighty, [yet] how lenient is He! And you are lowly and weak yet how bold you are in your disobedience to Him!
تعالَى اللّهُ مِنْ قَوِيّ ما أحْلَمَهُ، وَتَواضَعْتَ مِنْ ضَعيف ما أجْرَأَكَ على مَعاصيهِ.
خدای توانا برتر از آن است، چه بردبار است! و تو فرومایه‌ای چه جرأت داری بر معاصی‌اش!
The sweetness of sin is spoilt by the pain of retribution.
حَلاوَةُ المَعصيَةِ يُفْسِدُها أَليمُ العُقُوبَةِ.
شیرینیِ معصیت را دردناکیِ کیفر تباه کند.
The outcome of sins is loss [and destruction].
حاصِلُ المَعاصي التَّلَفُ.
حاصلِ معاصی تباهی است.
Many a great sin of yours is deemed by you as [being] small.
رُبَّ كبير مِنْ ذَنْبِكَ تَسْتَصْغِرُهُ.
بسا بزرگی از گناهت که کوچکش شماری.
The one who embarks upon sin, his [final] abode is hellfire.
راكِبُ المَعْصِيَةِ مَثْواهُ النّارُ.
سوارِ معصیت جایگاهش آتش است.
Submission to sin is the trait of the doomed.
طاعَةُ المَعْصِيَةِ سَجِيَّةُ الهَلْكى.
فرمان‌بردن از معصیت سرشتِ هلاک‌شدگان است.
I am amazed at the person who knows the severity of Allah’s retribution and [yet] he still continues being persistent [in sinning].
عَجِبْتُ لِمَنْ عَلِمَ شِدَّةَ انْتِقامِ اللّهِ مِنْهُ وهُوَ مُقيمٌ علَى الإصرارِ.
در شگفتم از آن که شدتِ انتقامِ خدا از خود داند و بر اصرار پایدار باشد!
The companion of vices is the hostage of [his] misdeeds.
قَرينُ المَعاصي رَهينُ السَّيـِّئاتِ.
همدمِ معاصی گروگانِ بدی‌هاست.
For every evil act there is punishment.
لِكُلِّ سَيِّئَة عِقابٌ.
هر بدی را کیفری است.
For the one who is bold in [committing] sins there are retributions from the chastisement of Allah, the Glorified.
لِلْمُجْتَرِيِ علَى المَعاصي نِقَمٌ مِنْ عَذابِ اللّهِ سُبْحانَهُ.
جرأت‌کننده بر معاصی را انتقام‌هایی است از عذابِ خدای سبحان.
If Allah, the Glorified, had not forbidden that which He has ordained as unlawful, it would have [still] been mandatory for the intelligent one to keep away from it.
لَوْ لَمْ يَنْهَ اللّهُ سُبْحانَهُ عنْ مَحارِمِهِ لَوَجَبَ أنْ يَجْتَنِبَها العاقِلُ.
اگر خدای سبحان از محرّماتش باز نمی‌داشت، بر خردمند لازم بود که از آن بپرهیزد.
Rejoicing in vices is uglier than committing them.
اَلتَّبَجُّجُ بِالمَعاصي أقْبَحُ مِنْ رُكُوبِها.
نازیدن به معاصی زشت‌تر است از مرتکب‌شدنشان.
Is there any place of protection or shelter, or any sanctuary or asylum, or any place to flee or return back to?
هَلْ مِنْ خَلاص أوْ مَناص أو مَلاذ أو مَعاذ أو فِرار أو مَحار.
آیا رهایی یا گریزگاه یا پناهگاه یا گریز یا فرار یا مأمنی هست؟
Do not persist in that which is followed by sin.
لا تُصِرَّ على ما يُعَقِّبُ الإثْمَ.
بر آنچه گناه به جا گذارد اصرار مکن.
Do not tear your veils [of innocence] in front of the One who knows your secrets.
لا تَهْتِكُوا أسْتارَكُمْ عِنْدَ مَنْ يَعْلَمُ أسْرارَكُمْ.
پرده‌هایتان را نزد آن که رازهایتان را داند در مَدَرید.
Do not undertake acts of disobedience to Allah, the Glorified, and act with obedience to Him, as this will be a provision for you [in the Hereafter].
