في رِضَا اللّهِ غايَةُ المَطْلُوبِ.
در خشنودیِ خدا غایتِ خواسته است.

كَيفَ يَقْدِرُ على إعْمالِ الرِّضا اَلقَلْبُ المُتَوَلِّهُ بِالدُّنيا؟!
چگونه تواند دلِ شیفتهٔ دنیا خشنودی را به کار گیرد؟!
How can the heart that is inclined to this world be capable of being satisfied [with what has been decreed]?!
كفى بِالرِّضا غِنىً.
خشنودی را بس که توانگری است.
Satisfaction suffices as abundance.
مَنْ آثَرَ رِضا رَبّ قادِر فَلْيَتَكَلَّمْ بِكَلِمَةِ عَدْل عِندَ سُلْطان جائر.
هر که خشنودیِ پروردگاری توانا را برگزید، باید سخنِ عدل گوید نزد سلطانِ ستمگر.
Whoever prefers the pleasure of the All-Powerful Lord, then let him speak with words of justice in the presence of the tyrannical ruler.
مَنْ طَلَبَ رِضَا اللّهِ بِسَخَطِ النَّاسِ رَدَّ اللّهُ ذامَّهُ مِنَ النَّاسِ حامِداً.
هر که خشنودیِ خدا را به خشمِ مردم جوید، خدا نکوهنده‌اش از مردم را ستایشگر بازگرداند.
Whoever seeks the pleasure of Allah at the expense of displeasing the people, Allah will turn his dispraiser among the people into his praiser.
مَنْ بادَرَ إلى مَراضِى اللّهِ سُبْحانَهُ، وتَأخَّرَ عَنْ مَعاصيهِ فَقَدْ أكْمَلَ الطَّاعَةَ.
هر که به خشنودی‌های خدای سبحان شتاب کند و از معاصی‌اش باز ایستد، طاعت را کامل کرده است.
One who hastens towards the actions that please Allah, the Glorified, and delays acts of disobedience to Him has indeed perfected [his] obedience.
هَبِ اللّهُمَّ لَنا رِضاكَ، وأغْنِنا عَنْ مَدِّ الأيْدي إلى سِواكَ.
خدایا! خشنودی‌ات را به ما ببخش و ما را از درازکردنِ دست‌ها به سوی غیرِ تو بی‌نیاز کن.
Allah! Grant us your pleasure and make us needless of having to stretch out our hands to other than you.
مَنْ طَلَبَ رِضَا النَّاسِ بِسَخَطِ اللّهِ رَدَّ اللّهُ حامِدَهُ مِنَ النَّاسِ ذامّاً.
هر که خشنودیِ مردم را به خشمِ خدا جوید، خدا ستایشگرش از مردم را نکوهنده بازگرداند.
Whoever seeks the pleasure of people by displeasing Allah, Allah will turn the one who praises him among the people into one who dispraises him.
ما أعْظَمَ وِزرَ مَنْ طَلَبَ رِضَى المَخْلُوقينَ بِسَخَطِ الخالِقِ.
چه بزرگ است گناه آن که خشنودیِ آفریدگان را به خشمِ آفریننده جوید!
How great is the wrongdoing of the one who seeks the pleasure of the creation by angering the Creator.
مَنْ رَضِيَ بِالمَقْدُورِ اِكْتَفى بِالمَيْسُورِ.
هر که به مقدر خشنود شود، به آسان‌رسیده بسنده کند.
One who is pleased with what has been decreed becomes content with little.
مَنْ رَضِيَ بِقِسْمِهِ لَمْ يُسْخِطْهُ أحَدٌ.
هر که به سهمش خشنود شود، کسی خشمگینش نسازد.
One who is satisfied with his portion will not be angered by anyone.
مَنْ رَضِيَ بِحالِهِ لَمْ يَعْتَوِرْهُ الحَسَدُ.
هر که به حالش خشنود شود، حسادت بر او عارض نشود.
One who is pleased with his state will not be affected by jealousy.
الرَّاضي بِفِعلِ قَوم كالدَّاخِلِ فيهِ مَعَهُمْ ولِكُلِّ داخِل في باطِل إثمانِ: إثمُ الرِّضا بِهِ وإثمُ العَمَلِ بِهِ.
خشنود به کردارِ قومی چون آن است که با آنان در آن درآمده؛ و هر درآمده در باطل را دو گناه است: گناهِ خشنودی به آن و گناهِ عمل به آن.
The one who is pleased with the action of a group is like one who participates in it with them, and for everyone who participates in falsehood there are two sins: the sin of being pleased with it and the sin of acting upon it.
كُلُّ راض مُسْتَريحٌ.
هر خشنودی آسوده است.
Every satisfied one is at ease.
كُنْ راضياً تَكُنْ مَرضِيّاً.
خشنود باش تا خشنودت باشند.
Be pleased [with Allah’s decree] and He will be pleased with you.
كُنْ أبَداً راضياً بِما يَأتي بِهِ القَدَرُ.
همیشه به آنچه تقدیر آوَرَد خشنود باش.
Always be pleased with what is brought by [divine] decree.
مَنْ رَضِيَ بِقِسْمِهِ اِسْتراحَ.
هر که به سهمش خشنود شود، آسوده شود.
One who is satisfied with his [allotted] portion is at ease.
اَلرَّغْبَةُ مِفْتاحُ النَّصَبِ.
رغبت کلیدِ رنج است.
Desire is the key to difficulty [and hardship].
ثَمَرةُ الرَّغْبَةِ التَّعَبُ.
میوهٔ رغبت خستگی است.
The fruit of desire is hardship.
رَغْبَتُكَ في زاهِد فيكَ ذُلٌّ.
رغبتِ تو در آن که به تو بی‌رغبت است، خواری است.
Your longing for the one who has no interest in you is a humiliation.
