مَنْ رَغِبَ فيكَ عِندَ إقْبالِكَ زَهِدَ فيكَ عِنْدَ إدْبارِكَ.
هر که هنگامِ روکردنت به تو رغبت کند، هنگامِ پشت‌کردنت به تو بی‌رغبتی کند.
One who desires your company when you advance [in rank] wishes to keep away from you when you fall.

حکمت ۴۰۴۱ تا ۴۰۶۰Sayings 4041 to 4060
مَنْ رَغِبَ في حَياتِكَ فَقَدْ تَعَلَّقَ بِحِبالِكَ.
هر که به زندگیِ تو رغبت کند، به ریسمان‌هایت آویخته است.
One who desires that you remain alive has clutched on to your cord.[^1]
مَنْ رَغِبَ فيما عِنْدَ اللّهِ كَثُرَ سُجُودُهُ ورُكُوعُهُ.
هر که به آنچه نزد خداست رغبت کند، سجده و رکوعش فزون شود.
One who desires that which is with Allah, his prostrations and bowings increase.
مَنْ رَغِبَ فيما عِندَ اللّهِ أخْلَصَ عَمَلَهُ.
هر که به آنچه نزد خداست رغبت کند، عملش مخلص شود.
One who desires that which is with Allah makes his actions sincere.
مَنْ رَغِبَ فيما عِندَاللّهِ بَلَغَ آمالَهُ.
هر که به آنچه نزد خداست رغبت کند، به آرزوهایش رسد.
One who desires that which is with Allah attains his hopes.
إنَّكُمْ إنْ رَغِبْتُمْ إلَى اللّهِ غَنِمْتُمْ ونَجَوْتُمْ وإنْ رَغِبْتُمْ إلَى الدُّنيا خَسِرْتُمْ وهَلَكْتُمْ. [^1]: Some commentators say that this means that just by wishing that someone remain alive, a link is established with that person.
اگر به سوی خدا رغبت کنید، غنیمت برید و نجات یابید و اگر به سوی دنیا رغبت کنید، زیان کنید و هلاک شوید.
Indeed if you desire [closeness to] Allah, you will become prosperous and will be saved, whereas if you desire the [attainment of this] world, you will be at a loss and will be destroyed.
اَلرِّفْقُ مِفْتاحُ الصَّوابِ، وشيمَةُ ذَوي الألباب.
مهربانی کلیدِ صواب و خویِ خردمندان است.
Leniency is the key to rightness and the trait of the people of understanding.
اَلرِّفْقُ يُيَسِّرُ الصِّعابَ، ويُسَهِّلُ شَديدَ الأسبابِ.
مهربانی سختی‌ها را آسان کند و اسبابِ دشوار را هموار سازد.
Leniency makes difficulties bearable and eases the harshness of situations.
اَلرِّفْقُ لِقاحُ الصَّلاحِ، وعُنْوانُ النَّجاحِ.
مهربانی مایهٔ باروریِ صلاح و نشانهٔ پیروزی است.
Leniency is the infusion of goodness and the symbol of success.
اُرْفُقْ تُوَفَّقْ.
مهربان باش تا توفیق یابی.
Be lenient and you shall gain success.
أفْضَلُ شَيْء الرِّفْقُ.
برترینِ چیزها مهربانی است.
The best thing is gentleness.
أكبَرُ البِرِّ الرِّفْقُ.
بزرگ‌ترینِ نیکی مهربانی است.
The greatest [form of] piety is gentleness.
الرِّفْقُ مِفْتاحُ النَّجاحِ.
مهربانی کلیدِ پیروزی است.
Leniency is the key to success.
الرِّفْقُ مِفتاحُ الصَّوابِ.
مهربانی کلیدِ صواب است.
Leniency is the key to rightness.
الرِّفْقُ يَفُلُّ حَدَّ المُخالَفَةِ.
مهربانی تیزیِ مخالفت را کُند کند.
Gentleness blunts the edge of opposition.
الرِّفْقُ عُنْوانُ النُّبْلِ.
مهربانی نشانهٔ بزرگواری است.
Leniency is the symbol of nobility.
الرِّفْقُ عُنْوانُ سَداد.
مهربانی نشانهٔ درستی است.
Leniency is the symbol of aptness.
اليُمْنُ مَعَ الرِّفْقِ.
نیک‌بختی با مهربانی است.
With leniency there is auspiciousness.
الرِّفْقُ يُؤَدّي إلَى السِّلْمِ.
مهربانی به آشتی رساند.
Leniency leads to peace.
الرِّفْقُ أخُو المُؤْمِنِ.
مهربانی برادرِ مؤمن است.
Gentleness is the brother of a believer.[^1]
