حکمت ۴۷۸۱ — موضوع ۳۲۰ · The Intercessor and IntercederSaying 4781 — The Intercessor and Interceder

شافِعُ الْمُذْنِبِ إقْرارُهُ، وتَوْبَتُهُ اِعْتِذارُهُ.

شفیعِ گنهکار اقرارِ اوست و توبه‌اش عذرخواهی‌اش.

The interceder of a sinner is his admission (of guilt), his repentance and his apology.

شافِعُ الْخَلْقِ العَمَلُ بِالْحَقِّ، ولُزُومُ الصِّدْقِ.

شفیعِ خلق عمل به حق و پایبندیِ راستی است.

The interceder of mankind [on the Day of Reckoning] acting upon the right and adhering to the truth.

حکمت ۴۷۸۳ — موضوع ۳۲۱ · DissensionSaying 4783 — Dissension

مَعَ الشِّقاقِ تَكُونُ النَّبْوَةُ.

با دو دستگی نافرمانی باشد.

With dissension there is aversion.

حکمت ۴۷۸۴ — موضوع ۳۲۲ · WretchednessSaying 4784 — Wretchedness

كُلُّ شَقاءِ إلى رَخاء.

هر رنجی به آسایش انجامد.

Every wretchedness is [moving] towards ease.

حکمت ۴۷۸۵ — موضوع ۳۲۲ · WretchednessSaying 4785 — Wretchedness

مِنَ الشَّقاءِ اِحْتِقابُ الحَرامِ.

از بدبختی اندوختنِ حرام است.

Collecting the [wealth that is] forbidden is part of wretchedness.

مِنَ الشَّقاءِ إفْسادُ المَعادِ.

از بدبختی تباه‌کردنِ معاد است.

Corrupting one’s Hereafter is from wretchedness.

مِنْ عَلامَةِ الشَّقاءِ غِشُّ الصَّديقِ.

از نشانهٔ بدبختی فریبِ دوست است.

One of the signs of wretchedness is cheating one’s friend.

مِنْ عَلاماتِ الشَّقاءِ الإسائَةُ إلَى الأخْيارِ.

از نشانه‌های بدبختی بدی‌کردن به نیکان است.

One of the signs of wretchedness is offending the virtuous.

مِنْ شَقاءِ المَرْءِ أنْ يُفْسِدَ الشَّكُ يَقينَهُ.

از بدبختِ مرد آن است که شک یقینش را فاسد کند.

It is from the wretchedness of a person for his certitude to get corrupted by doubt.

حکمت ۴۷۹۰ — موضوع ۳۲۲ · WretchednessSaying 4790 — Wretchedness

مِنَ الشَّقاءِ أنْ يَصُونَ المَرْءُ دُنْياهُ بِدينِهِ.

از بدبختی آن است که مرد دنیایش را به دینش پاس دارد.

It is from wretchedness for a person to safeguard his world at the expense of his religion.

مِنَ الشَّقاءِ فَسادُ النِّيَّةِ.

از بدبختی فسادِ نیّت است.

Corruption of intention is from wretchedness.

حکمت ۴۷۹۲ — موضوع ۳۲۲ · WretchednessSaying 4792 — Wretchedness

إنَّ مِنَ الشَّقاءِ إفْسادَ المَعادِ.

از بدبختی تباه‌کردنِ معاد است.

Verily from wretchedness is corruption of one’s Hereafter.

حکمت ۴۷۹۳ — موضوع ۳۲۳ · The WretchedSaying 4793 — The Wretched

اَلشقيُّ مَنِ اغْتَرَّ بِحالِهِ وانْخَدَعَ لِغُرُورِ آمالِهِ.

بدبخت آن است که به حالش فریب خورد و به فریبِ آرزوهایش فریفته شود.

The wretched is one who is proud of his condition and is beguiled by the deception of his hopes.

حکمت ۴۷۹۴ — موضوع ۳۲۳ · The WretchedSaying 4794 — The Wretched

أشْقاكُمْ أحْرَصُكُمْ.

بدبخت‌ترینِ شما حریص‌ترینِ شماست.

The most wretched among you are the most greedy among you.

حکمت ۴۷۹۵ — موضوع ۳۲۳ · The WretchedSaying 4795 — The Wretched

أشْقَى النّاسِ مَنْ باعَ دينَهُ بِدُنْيا غَيْرِهِ.

بدبخت‌ترینِ مردم آن است که دینش را به دنیای دیگری فروشد.

The most wretched of [all] people is one who sells his religion for someone else’s worldly gain.[^1]

حکمت ۴۷۹۶ — موضوع ۳۲۳ · The WretchedSaying 4796 — The Wretched

كَمْ مِنْ شَقِيّ حَضَرَهُ أجَلُهُ وهُوَ مُجِدٌّ فِي الطَّلَبِ. [^1]: Since any worldly gains he has will be transferred to his heirs after his death.

چه بسیارند بدبختانی که اجلشان در رسیده و آنان در طلب کوشا هستند!

How many a wretched person has been visited by his death while he is striving to acquire [worldly gain].

اَلشُّكْرُ أحَدُ الجَزائَيْن.

سپاس یکی از دو پاداش است.

Gratitude is one of the two rewards.

حکمت ۴۷۹۸ — موضوع ۳۲۴ · Gratitude And The GratefulSaying 4798 — Gratitude And The Grateful

اَلشُّكْرُ عَلَى النِّعْمَةِ جَزاءٌ لِماضِيها، واجْتِلابٌ لآتيها.

سپاسِ نعمت پاداشِ گذشته‌اش و فراخوانندهٔ آینده‌اش است.

Gratitude for blessings is a recompense for its past and a source of its [increase in the] future.

اَلشُّكْرُ أعْظَمُ قَدْراً مِنَ المَعْرُوفِ، لأنَّ الشُّكْرَ يَبْقى والمََعْرُوفَ يَفْنى.

سپاس بزرگ‌قدرتر از معروف است؛ چرا که سپاس ماندگار و معروف فانیا است.

Gratitude has greater value than a good action because the gratitude lasts while the good action comes to an end.

أُشْكُرْ تَزِدْ.

سپاس گزار تا بیفزایی.

Be grateful and you will increase.
