اِشْتَغِلْ بِشُكْرِ النِّعْمَةِ عَنِ التَّطَرُّبِ بِها.
به سپاسِ نعمت مشغول شو، نه به شادمانیِ بدان.
Occupy yourself in being grateful for the blessing rather than being delighted by it.
أكْثِرِ النَّظَرَ إلى مَنْ فُضِّلْتَ عَلَيْهِ، فَإنَّ ذلِكَ مِنْ أبْوابِ الشُّكرِ.
بیشتر به آن که بر او برتری داده شده‌ای بنگر؛ چرا که آن از درهای سپاس است.
Look frequently at those over whom you have been given superiority, for verily this is one of the gates [and means] of gratitude.
أُشْكُرْ مَنْ أنْعَمَ عَلَيْكَ، وأنْعِمْ على مَنْ شَكَرَكَ، فَإنَّهُ لازَوالَ لِلنِّعْمَةِ إذا شُكِرَتْ، ولابَقاءَ لَها إذا كُفِرَتْ.
آن را که بر تو نعمت نهاد سپاس گوی و بر آن که سپاست گفت نعمت ده؛ چرا که نعمت چون سپاسش گزاردند زایل نشود و چون ناسپاسی‌اش کنند نماند.
Be grateful to the one who favours you and favour the one who is grateful to you, for indeed there is no end to favours when they are appreciated and there is no continuation for them when they are unappreciated.
اِجْعَلْ جَزاءَ النِّعْمَةِ عَلَيْكَ الاَحْسانَ إلى مَنْ أساءَ إلَيْكَ.
پاداشِ نعمتی که بر توست را نیکی‌کردن به آن که به تو بدی کرده قرار ده.
Let the recompense for the blessing which has come upon you be the showing of goodness to one who wrongs you.
أحْسِنُوا جُوارَ نِعَمِ الدّينِ والدُّنيا بِالشُّكْرِ لِمَنْ دَلَّ (دَلَّكُم)عَلَيْها.
همسایگیِ نعمت‌های دین و دنیا را به سپاسِ آن که شما را بر آن دلالت کرد [یا دلالتش کرد] نیکو دارید.
Be good neighbours to the blessings of religion and this world by showing gratitude to the one who guides you to them.
اِغْتَنِمُوا الشُّكْرَ، فَأدْنى نَفْعِهِ الزِّيادَةُ.
سپاس را غنیمت شمارید؛ چرا که کمترینِ سودش افزونی است.
Take advantage of gratitude, for the least of its benefits is increment [of blessings].
أحْسَنُ السُّمْعَةِ شُكْرٌ يُنْشَرُ.
نیکوترینِ آوازه سپاسی است که پخش شود.
The best thing that spoken loudly [in order that others may hear] is the gratitude that is publicized.
أحْسَنُ شُكْرِ النِّعَمِ اَلإنْعامُ بِها.
نیکوترینِ سپاسِ نعمت‌ها نعمت‌بخشی به آنهاست.
The best gratitude for blessings is favoring others with them.
أحَقُّ مَنْ بَرِرْتَ مَنْ لايَغْفُلُ بِرَّكَ.
سزاوارترینِ کس به نیکی‌ات آن است که نیکی‌ات را غافل نشمارد.
The most deserving of those to whom you do good is the one who does not disregard your good turn.
أحقُّ مَنْ شَكَرْتَ مَنْ لايَمْنَعُ مَزيدَكَ.
سزاوارترینِ کس به سپاست آن است که فزونی‌ات را باز ندارد.
The most deserving of your gratitude is the one who does not prevent you from acquiring more.
أوَّلُ ما يَجِبُ عَلَيْكُمْ لِلّهِ سُبْحانَهُ شُكْرُ أياديِهِ، وابْتِغاءُ مَراضيهِ.
نخستین چیزی که برای خدای سبحان بر شما واجب است، سپاسِ دست‌های اوست و جستنِ خشنودی‌هایش.
The first thing that is incumbent upon you with regards to Allah, the Glorified, is being grateful for His blessings and seeking His pleasure.
أبْلَغُ ما تُسْتَمَدُّ بِهِ النِّعْمَةُ الشُّكْرُ، وأعْظَمُ ما تَمَحَّصَ بِهِ المِحْنَةُ الصَّبْرُ.
رساترینِ چیز که نعمت بدان استمداد شود سپاس است و بزرگ‌ترینِ چیز که محنت بدان پاک شود صبر است.
The most effective thing that makes a blessing last longer is gratitude and the greatest thing by which tribulations are overcome is patience.
أحَقُّ النّاسِ بِزيادَةِ النِّعْمَةِ، أشْكَرُهُمْ لِما أُعْطِيَ مِنْها.
سزاوارترینِ مردم به افزونیِ نعمت سپاس‌گزارترینِ آنان است به آنچه بدو داده شده.
The most deserving of people for an increase in blessing is the most grateful of them for what he has been granted of it.
أحَبُّ النّاسِ إلَى اللّهِ سُبْحانَهُ العامِلُ فيما أنْعَمَ بِهِ عَلَيْهِ بِالشُّكْرِ، وَأبْغَضُهُمْ إلَيْهِ اَلعامِلُ في نِعَمِهِ بِكُفْرِها.
محبوب‌ترینِ مردم نزد خدای سبحان آن است که در آنچه بدو نعمت داده به سپاس عمل کند و مبغوض‌ترینِ آنان نزد او آن است که در نعمت‌هایش به ناسپاسی عمل کند.
The most beloved of people to Allah, the Glorified, is the one who deals gratefully with the blessings that have been bestowed upon him and the most hated of them to Him is the one who deals ungratefully with His blessings.
لايَحُوزُ الشُّكْرَ إلاّ مَنْ بَذَلَ مالَهُ.
سپاس را جز آن که مالش را ببخشد به دست نیاورد.
No one acquires gratitude except by giving [generously] from his wealth.
إنَّ لِلّهِ تعالى في كُلِّ نِعْمَة حَقّاً مِنَ الشُّكْرِ، فَمَنْ أدّاهُ زادَهُ مِنْها، وَمَنْ قَصَّرَ عَنْهُ خاطَرَ بِزَوالِ نِعْمَتِهِ.
خداوند متعال را در هر نعمتی حقی از سپاس است؛ پس هر که آن را ادا کند، او را از آن بیفزاید و هر که از آن کوتاه آید، به زوالِ نعمتش در خطر افتد.
Verily in every blessing there is a right of gratitude to Allah, the Most High, so whoever fulfils it, He increases it for him and whoever does not do so risks losing his blessing.
إنَّ العَبْدَ بَيْنَ نِعْمَة وذَنْب لايُصْلِحُهُما إلاّ الاِسْتِغْفارُ وَالشُّكْرُ.
بنده میانِ نعمت و گناهی است که جز استغفار و سپاس نیکوشان نسازد.
Verily the servant is [always] between blessing and sin, [and] nothing rectifies [or improves] them except repentance and gratitude.
اَلشُّكْرُ زيادَةٌ.
سپاس افزونی است.
Gratitude is [a means of] increment.
اَلشُّكْرُ مَفْرُوضٌ.
سپاس فریضه است.
Gratitude is obligatory.
