عَلَيْكَ بِالشُّكْرِ فِي السَّـرّاءِ والضَّـرّاءِ.
بر تو باد سپاس در آسایش و سختی.

حکمت ۴۸۶۱ تا ۴۸۸۰Sayings 4861 to 4880
عَلَيْكُمْ بِدَوامِ الشُّكْرِ، ولُزُومِ الصَّبْرِ، فَإنَّهُما يَزيدانِ النِّعْمَةَ، وَيُزيلانِ المِحْنَةَ.
بر شما باد پایداریِ سپاس و پایبندیِ صبر؛ چرا که آن دو نعمت را بیفزایند و محنت را بزُدایند.
You must be constantly grateful and ever patient, for these two [qualities] increase blessing and remove tribulations.
في شُكْرِ النِّعَمِ دَوامُها.
در سپاسِ نعمت‌ها پایداریِ آنهاست.
In gratitude for blessings lies their continuity.
فِي الشُّكْرِ تَكُونُ الزّيادَةُ.
در سپاس افزونی باشد.
In gratitude there is increase.
قِلَّةُ الشُّكْرِ تُزَهِّدُ فِي اصْطِناعِ المَعْرُوفِ.
کمیِ سپاس در نیکی‌کردن بی‌رغبت سازد.
Lack of gratitude removes the desire to do good deeds.
قَيِّدُوا قَوادِمَ النِّعَمِ بِالشُّكْرِ، فَما كُلُّ شارِد بِمَرْدُود.
پیش‌آهنگانِ نعمت‌ها را به سپاس به بند کشید؛ چرا که هر گریخته‌ای بازنگردد.
Bind the approaching blessings with gratitude, for not everything that escapers comes back.
كَفى بِالشُّكْرِ زيادَةً.
سپاس را برای افزونی بس است.
Gratitude is sufficient for increase.
كافِلُ المَزيدِ الشُّكْرُ.
کفیلِ فزونی سپاس است.
The guarantor of increase is gratitude.
لِيَكُنِ الشُّكْرُ شاغِلاً لَكَ عَلى مُعافاتِكَ مِمَّا ابْتُلِيَ بِهِ غَيْرُكَ.
سپاس باید تو را به عافیتت از آنچه دیگری بدان مبتلا شده مشغول دارد.
Be occupied by gratitude for your good state and [your] safety from that which has afflicted others.
لَنْ يَقْدِرَ أحَدٌ أنْ يُحَصِّنَ النِّعَمَ بِمِثْلِ شُكْرِها.
هیچ‌کس نتواند نعمت‌ها را چون سپاسشان در پناه گیرد.
None is capable of fortifying blessings the way [showing] gratitude for them does.
لَوْ لَمْ يَتَواعَدِ اللّهُ سُبْحانَهُ لَوَجَبَ أنْ لا يُعْصى شُكْراً لِنِعْمَتِهِ.
اگر خدای سبحان وعید نمی‌داد، شایسته بود که به سپاسِ نعمتش نافرمانی نشود.
If Allah, the Glorified, had not made a promise [to punish those who are disobedient], it would have still been obligatory not to disobey Him out of gratitude for His blessings.
مَنْ شَكَرَ اِسْتَحَقَّ الزِّيادَةَ.
هر که سپاس گزارد، سزاوارِ افزونی شود.
One who shows gratitude deserves more.
مَنْ شَكَرَ دامَتْ نِعْمَتُهُ.
هر که سپاس گزارد، نعمتش پاینده ماند.
Whoever shows gratitude, his blessing lasts [longer].
مَنْ كَثُرَ شُكْرُهُ تَضاعَفَتْ نِعَمُهُ.
هر که سپاسش فزون شود، نعمت‌هایش دوچندان شود.
One whose gratitude increases, his blessings multiply.
مَنْ أُلْهِمَ الشُّكْرَ لَمْ يَعْدَمَ الزِّيادَةَ.
هر که سپاس به او الهام شود، از افزونی محروم نماند.
One who is inspired to show gratitude will not be deprived of increase.
مَنْ لَمْ يَشْكُرِ النِّعْمَةَ عُوقِبَ بِزَوالِها.
هر که نعمت را سپاس نگوید، به زوالش کیفر شود.
One who does not show gratitude for a blessing is punished by its cessation.
مَنْ أدامَ الشُّكْرَ اِسْتَدامَ البِرَّ.
هر که سپاس را پاینده دارد، نیکی را پاینده دارد.
One who continues showing gratitude makes the goodness [and blessing] last.
مَنْ أُنْعِمَ عَلَيْهِ فَشَكَرَ كَمَنِ ابْتُلِيَ فَصَبَـرَ.
آن که بدو نعمت داده‌اند و سپاس گوید، چون آن است که مبتلا شده و صبر کند.
One who is bestowed with a blessing and gives thanks for it is like the one who is tried with difficulties and bears them patiently.
مَنْ شَكَرَ المَعْرُوفَ، فَقَدْ قَضى حَقَّهُ.
هر که معروف را سپاس گوید، حقّش را به جا آورده است.
One who shows gratitude for [and act of] kindness has indeed fulfilled its right.
مَنْ شَكَرَكَ مِنْ غَيْرِ صَنيعَة فَلا تَأمَنْ ذَمَّهُ مِنْ غَيْرِ قَطيعَة.
هر که بی‌نیکی سپاست گفت، از نکوهشش بی‌بریدن ایمن مباش.
When someone thanks you without [your having done him] a good turn, then do not consider yourself safe from his censure without any breach.
