مَنْ شَكَرَ مَنْ أنْعَمَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَدْ كافاهُ.
هر که آن را که بر او نعمت نهاده سپاس گوید، پاداشش داده است.
Whoever thanks the one who favours him has indeed recompensed him.

مَنْ لَمْ يَشْكُرِ الإنْعامَ فَلْـيُعَدَّ مِنَ الأنْعامِ.
هر که نعمت را سپاس نگوید، باید از چهارپایان شمارندش.
One who does not show gratitude for favours should be counted [as being] from the livestock [rather than being human].
مَنْ شَكَرَ عَلى غَيْرِ إحْسان ذَمَّ عَلى غَيْرِ اِساءَة.
هر که بی‌نیکی سپاس گوید، بی‌بدی نکوهش کند.
One who shows gratitude without any favor, censures without any wrongdoing?
مَنْ بَذَلَ لَكَ جُهْدَ عِنايَتِهِ فَابْذُلْ لَهُ جُهْدَ شُكْرِكَ.
هر که کوششِ عنایتش را برایت به کار برد، کوششِ سپاست را برایش به کار بر.
Whoever makes the effort to show concern for you, then make the effort to show him your gratitude?
مَنْ حاطَ(خَلَطَ) النِّعَمَ بِالشُّكْرِ حيطَ بِالمَزيدِ.
هر که نعمت‌ها را به سپاس پاس دارد [یا بیامیزد]، به فزونی پاس داشته شود.
One who guards (or mixes) blessings with gratitude is surrounded by more [blessings].
مَنْ لَمْ يُحِطِ النِّعَمَ بِالشُّكْرِ لَها فَقَدْ عَـرَّضَها لِزَوالِها.
هر که نعمت‌ها را به سپاس پاس ندارد، در معرضِ زوالشان نهاده است.
One who does not begird [his] blessings by being grateful for them has indeed exposed them to cessation.
مَنْ شَكَرَ اللّهَ زادَهُ.
هر که خدا را سپاس گوید، بیفزایدش.
Whoever thanks Allah, He increases [the blessings] for him.
مَنْ شَكَرَ النِّعَمَ بِجِنانِهِ اِسْتَحَقَّ المَزيدَ قَبْلَ أنْ يَظْهَرَ عَلى لِسانِهِ.
هر که نعمت‌ها را به جانش سپاس گوید، پیش از آن که بر زبانش آشکار شود سزاوارِ فزونی شود.
One who feels grateful for blessings in his heart deserves increase [even] before he manifests [the gratitude] on his tongue.
مَنْ كَثُرَ شُكْرُهُ كَثُرَ خَيْرُهُ.
هر که سپاسش فزون شود، خیرش فزون شود.
One whose gratitude increases, his goodness [and blessing] increases.
مَنْ قَلَّ شُكْرُهُ زالَ خَيْرُهُ.
هر که سپاسش کم شود، خیرش زایل شود.
One whose gratitude diminishes, his goodness [and blessing] comes to an end.
مَنْ أُوتِيَ نِعْمَةً فَقَدِ اسْتُعْبِدَ بِها حَتّى يُعْتِقَةُ القِيامُ بِشُكْرِها.
هر که نعمتی بدو داده شود، بدان به بندگی گرفته شود تا انجامِ سپاسش آزادش سازد.
One who is granted a blessing has indeed been enslaved by it until he is freed by his show of gratitude for it.
مَنْ شَكَرَ اللّهَ سُبْحانَهُ وَجَبَ عَلَيْهِ شُكْـرَتانِ، إذ وَفَّقَهُ لِشُكْرِهِ وهُوَ شُكْرُ الشُّكْرِ.
هر که خدای سبحان را سپاس گوید، دو سپاس بر او واجب شود، چرا که او را به سپاسش توفیق داده و آن سپاسِ سپاس است.
One who thanks Allah, the Glorified, has to give thanks twice as it was He who enabled him to give thanks [in the first place] and that is the gratitude for being thankful.
مَنْ شَكَرَ إَلَيْكَ مَعْرُوفَكَ (غَيْرَكَ) فَقَدْ سَألَكَ.
هر که معروفِ تو را [یا دیگری را] سپاس گوید، از تو خواسته است.
One who shows gratitude to you for your kindness (or the kindness of someone else) has [actually] requested you [for something].
مَنْ لَمْ يَشْكُرِ النِّعْمَةَ مُنِعَ الزِّيادَةَ.
هر که نعمت را سپاس نگوید، از افزونی باز داشته شود.
One who does not show gratitude for blessing is deprived of more [blessings].
ما حُصِّنَتِ النِّعَمُ بِمِثْلِ الشُّكْرِ.
نعمت‌ها چون سپاس پاس داشته نشوند.
Nothing fortifies blessings like gratitude.
ما شُكِرَتِ النِّعَمُ بِمِثْلِ بَذْلِها.
نعمت‌ها چون بخشیدنشان سپاس گفته نشوند.
Nothing shows gratitude for favors like bestowing them on others.
ما كانَ اللّهُ سُبْحانَهُ لِيَفْتَحَ عَلى أحَد بابَ الشُّكْرِ ويُغْلِقَ عَلَيْهِ بابَ المَزيد.
خدای سبحان را نَسَزد که بر کسی درِ سپاس بگشاید و درِ فزونی بر او ببندد.
Allah, the Glorified, does not open the door of gratitude for anyone and then close the door of increase [in blessings].
مَعَ الشُّكْرِ تَدُومُ النِّعْمَةُ.
با سپاس نعمت پاینده ماند.
With gratitude blessings last [longer].
لا تَنْسَوْا عِنْدَ النِّعْمَةِ شُكْرَكُمْ.
در هنگامِ نعمت سپاستان را فراموش نکنید.
Do not forget to show your gratitude when you receive blessings.
كُنْ فِي السَّـرّاءِ عَبْداً شَكُوراً، وَفِي الضَّـرّاءِ عَبْداً صَبُوراً. [^1]: ...As opposed to hiding one’s wealth and pretending to be poor.
در آسایش بنده‌ای سپاس‌گزار باش و در سختی بنده‌ای صابر.
Be a thankful servant in times of ease and a patient servant in times of adversity.
