مَنِ اسْتَشارَ ذَوِي النُّهى والألبابِ فازَ بِالحَزْمِ والسَّدادِ.

مَنْ لَزِمَ المُشاوَرَةَ لَمْ يَعْدَمْ عِنْدَ الصَّوابِ مادِحاً وعِنْدَ الخَطاءِ عاذِراً.
هر که مشورت را پاینده دارد، در هنگامِ درستی ستایش‌گری و در هنگامِ خطا عذرپذیری نیابد.
One who persists in consultation does not lack a praiser when the right result is achieved or an apologizer when a mistake is made.
ما ضَلَّ مَنِ اسْتَشارَ.
آن که مشورت کرد گمراه نشود.
One who seeks advice does not go astray.
مَا اسْتُنْبِطَ الصَّوابُ بِمِثْلِ المُشاوَرَةِ.
درستی چون مشورت استخراج نشود.
Nothing derives an appropriate outcome like consultation.
مُشاوَرَةُ الحازِمِ المُشْفِقِ ظَفَرٌ.
مشورتِ تدبیرمندِ دلسوز پیروزی است.
Consulting the judicious person who is concerned for you is a [means of attaining] triumph.
مُشاوَرَةُ الجاهِلِ المُشْفِقِ خَطَرٌ.
مشورتِ نادانِ دلسوز خطر است.
Consulting the ignorant person who is concerned for you one is dangerous.
نِعْمَ المُظاهَرَةُ المُشاوَرَةُ.
چه نیکو پشت‌گرمی‌ای است مشورت!
How good a support consultation is!
نِعْمَ الاِسْتِظْهارُ المُشاوَرَةُ.
چه نیکو یاری‌خواهی‌ای است مشورت!
What a good backing [and support] consultation is!
لاتُشاوِرْ عَدُوَّكَ، واسْتُرْهُ خَبَـرَكَ.
با دشمنت مشورت مکن و خبرت را از او بپوشان.
Do not consult with your enemy and hide your information [from him].
لاتُشاوِرَنَّ في أمْرِكَ مَنْ يَجْهَلُ.
در کارت هرگز با آن که نمی‌داند مشورت مکن.
Never consult with the ignorant in your affairs.
لاتَسْتَصْغِرَنَّ عِنْدَكَ الرَّأْيَ الخَطيرَ إذا أتاكَ بِهِ الرَّجُلُ الحَقيرُ.
رایِ پُرمایه را نزد خود کوچک مشمار اگر مردِ حقیر آن را برایت آورد.
Do not belittle a noteworthy opinion [even] when it is brought to you by an inferior person.
لاتُدْخِلَنَّ في مَشْوَرَتِكَ بَخيلاً فَيَعْدِلَ بِكَ عَنِ القَصْدِ ويَعِدَكَ الفَقْرَ.
هرگز بخیلی را در مشورتت درمیاور تا تو را از میانه‌روی بگرداند و فقر را وعده‌ات دهد.
Do not include a miser in your consultation as he will turn you away from the goal and frighten you with poverty.
لاتُشْرِكَنَّ في رَأْيِكَ جَباناً يُضَعِّفُكَ عَنِ الأمْرِ، ويُعَظِّمُ عَلَيْكَ ما لَيْسَ بِعَظيم.
هرگز بزدلی را در رایت شریک مکن که تو را از کار سست کند و آنچه بزرگ نیست بر تو بزرگ نماید.
Never include a coward in your consultation as he will weaken your resolve in the matter and [will] make a mountain out of a mole hill.
لاتَسْتَشِرِ الكَذَّابَ فَإنَّهُ كَالسَّرابِ يُقَرِّبُ عَلَيْكَ البَعيدَ وَيُبَعِدُّ عَلَيْكَ القَريبَ.
با دروغگو مشورت مکن؛ چرا که چون سراب است: دور را بر تو نزدیک کند و نزدیک را دور.
Do not consult the liar, for indeed he is like the mirage that makes the distant seem near and the near seem distant.
لاتُشْرِكَنَّ في مَشْوَرَتِكَ حَريصاً يُهَوِّنْ عَلَيْكَ الشَّـرَّ، وَيُزَيِّنْ لَكَ الشَّـرَهَ.
هرگز حریصی را در مشورتت شریک مکن که شر را بر تو آسان شمارد و آز را برایت بیاراید.
Never include a greedy person in your consultation as he will facilitate evil [deeds] and glamorize avarice for you.
لا يَسْتَغْنِي العاقِلُ عَنِ المُشاوَرَةِ.
خردمند از مشورت بی‌نیاز نشود.
The intelligent one never dispenses with consultation.
لامُظاهَرَةَ أوْثَقُ مِنْ مُشاوَرَة.
هیچ پشت‌گرمی‌ای استوارتر از مشورت نیست.
There is no backing [and support that is stronger and] more reliable than consultation.
مَنِ اسْتَغْنى بِعَقْلِهِ (بِفِعْلِهِ) ضَلَّ.
هر که به خِرَدش [یا به کردارش] بی‌نیاز شود، گمراه شود.
One who becomes satisfied with his own intellect (or action) has gone astray.
اَلشَّوْقُ شيمَةُ المُوقِنينَ.
شوق شیوهٔ یقین‌داران است.
Longing [for Allah and the Hereafter] is from the qualities of those who have certitude.
اَلشَّوْقُ خُلْصانُ العارِفينَ.
شوق خالصانهٔ عارفان است.
Longing [for Allah] is the intimate companion of the Gnostics.
