مَنِ اشْتاقَ أدْلَجَ.
هر که مشتاق شود، شبانه کوچ کند.
One who longs [for Allah] sets out [towards him] at nightfall.
الشَهْوَةُ أحَدُ المُغْوِيَيْنِ.
شهوت یکی از دو گمراه‌کننده است.
Lust is one of the two causes of deviation.
اَلشَّهَواتُ أعْلالٌ قاتِلاتٌ، وأفْضَلُ دَوائِها اِقْتِناءُ الصَّبْرِ عَنْها.
شهوت‌ها بیماری‌های کشنده‌اند و برترینِ دارویشان به دست‌آوردنِ صبر از آنهاست.
Lustful desires are fatal illnesses, and the best cure for them is acquiring patience against them.
اَلشَّهَواتُ مَصائِدُ الشَّيْطانِ.
شهوت‌ها دام‌های شیطان‌اند.
Lustful desires are the snares of Satan.
اِغْلَبِ الشَّهْوَةَ، تَكْمُلْ لَكَ الحِكْمَةُ.
شهوت را بچیر تا حکمت برایت کامل شود.
Overcome [your] lust, [and] your wisdom will be perfected.
أُهْجُرُوا الشَّهَواتِ، فَإنَّها تَقُودُكُمْ إلى رُكُوبِ الذُّنُوبِ، والتَّهَجُّمِ عَلَى السَيِّئاتِ.
شهوت‌ها را هجران گویید؛ چرا که شما را به ارتکابِ گناهان و درآویختن به بدی‌ها کشند.
Turn your back on lustful desires, for indeed they drive you to perform sinful acts and to fall upon evil deeds.
اَلشَّهَواتُ آفاتٌ قاتِلاتٌ، وخَيْرُ دَوائِها اِقْتِناءُ الصَّبْرِ عَنْها.
شهوت‌ها آفت‌های کشنده‌اند و بهترینِ دارویشان به دست‌آوردنِ صبر از آنهاست.
Lustful desires are fatal diseases, and the best cure for them is acquiring patience against them.
إيّاكُمْ وتَحَكُّمَ الشَّهَواتِ عَلَيْكُمْ، فَإنَّ عاجِلَها ذَميمٌ، وآجِلَها وَخيمٌ.
بپرهیزید از آن که شهوت‌ها بر شما فرمانروا شوند؛ چرا که عاجلشان نکوهیده و آجلشان ناگوار است.
Beware of allowing lustful desires to dominate you, for indeed its immediate result is dispraised and future consequence is detrimental.
إيّاكُمْ وغَلَبَةَ الشَّهَواتِ عَلى قُلُوبِكُمْ، فَإنَّ بِدايَتَها مَلَكَةٌ، ونِهايَتَها هَلَكَةٌ.
بپرهیزید از چیرگیِ شهوت‌ها بر دل‌هایتان؛ چرا که آغازشان فرمانروایی و انجامشان هلاکت است.
Beware of letting lustful desires overpower you hearts, for indeed its beginning is bondage and its end is destruction.
أوَّلُ الشَّهْوَةِ طَرَبٌ، وآخِرُها عَطَبٌ.
آغازِ شهوت شادمانی است و انجامش هلاک.
The beginning of lust is pleasure and its end is harm.
اَلشَّهْوَةُ تُغْري.
شهوت وسوسه کند.
Lust entices.
اَلشَّهَواتُ آفاتٌ.
شهوت‌ها آفت‌اند.
Lustful desires are diseases.
اَلشَّهَواتُ قاتِلاتٌ.
شهوت‌ها کشنده‌اند.
Lustful desires are lethal.
اَلشَّهْوَةُ حَرَبٌ.
شهوت جنگ است [یا غارت].
Lust is spoliation [of intellect and faith].
اَلشَّهْوَةُ أضَرُّ الأعْداءِ.
شهوت زیان‌آورترینِ دشمنان است.
Lust is the most harmful of enemies.
اَلشَّهَواتُ سُمُومٌ قاتِلاتٌ.
شهوت‌ها زهرهای کشنده‌اند.
Lustful desires are lethal poisons.
اَلشَّهَواتُ تَسْتَـرِقُّ الجَهُولَ.
شهوت‌ها نادان را به بندگی برند.
Lustful desires enslave the ignorant.
اَلاِنْقيادُ لِلْشَّهْوَةِ أدْوَأُ الدّاءِ.
پیروی از شهوت دردناک‌ترینِ دردهاست.
Yielding to lust is the worst disease.
إنَّكُمْ إنْ مَلَّكْتُمْ شَهَواتِكُمْ نَزَتْ بِكُمْ إلَى الأَشَرِ والغَوايَةِ.
اگر شهوت‌هایتان را بر خود فرمانروا سازید، شما را به سَرکشی و گمراهی کشند.
Verily if you are controlled by your lustful desires, they will cause you to leap into frivolity and error.
