اَلصِّدْقُ صَلاحُ كُلِّشَيْء.

راستی صلاحِ هر چیز است.

Truth is the uprightness of everything.

اَلصِّدْقُ أشْرَفُ خَلائِقِ المُوقِنِ.

راستی شریف‌ترینِ خصلت‌های یقین‌دار است.

Truthfulness is the most honourable characteristic of one who has conviction.

اَلصِّدْقُ أمانَةُ اللِّسانِ وحِلْيَةُ الإيمانِ.

راستی امانتِ زبان و زیورِ ایمان است.

Truthfulness is the trust of the tongue and the ornament of faith.

اَلصِّدْقُ مُطابَقَةُ المَنْطِقِ لِلْوَضْعِ الإلهيّ.

راستی هم‌خوانیِ سخن با وضعِ الهی است.

Truthfulness is the correspondence of speech with divine dispensation.

بِالصِّدْقِ تَـكُونُ النَّجاةُ.

به راستی نجات باشد.

Through truthfulness, salvation is attained.

بِالصِّدْقِ تَـكْمُلُ المُرُوءَةُ.

به راستی مردانگی کامل شود.

بِالصِّدْقِ والوَفاءِ تَـكْمُلُ المُرُوءَةُ لأهْلِها.

به راستی و وفاداری مردانگی برای اهلش کامل شود.

By honesty and loyalty, magnanimity becomes complete for its possessor.

رَأسُ الإيمانِ (لُزُومُ) الصِّدْقُ.

سرِ ایمان پایبندیِ راستی است [یا راستی].

The cornerstone of faith is truthfulness.

شَيْئانِ هُما مِلاكُ الدِّينِ: اَلصِّدْقُ واليَقينُ.

دو چیز است که مایهٔ قوامِ دین‌اند: راستی و یقین.

Two things are the basis of religion: honesty and certainty.

صِدْقُ الرَّجُلِ عَلى قَدْرِ مُرُوءتِهِ.

راستیِ مرد به اندازهٔ مردانگیِ اوست.

The truthfulness of a man is to the extent of his magnanimity.

حکمت ۵۳۱۳ — موضوع ۳۴۲ · TruthfulnessSaying 5313 — Truthfulness

عَلَيْكَ بِالصِّدْقِ فَإنَّهُ خَيْـرُ مَبْنيّ(مُنْبِئ).

بر تو باد راستی؛ چرا که آن بهترینِ ساختار است [یا بهترینِ خبردهنده].

Adopt truthfulness, for it is the best foundation.

حکمت ۵۳۱۴ — موضوع ۳۴۲ · TruthfulnessSaying 5314 — Truthfulness

عَلَيْكَ بِالصِّدْقِ فَمَنْ صَدَقَ في أقْوالِهِ جَلَّ قَدْرُهُ.

بر تو باد راستی؛ پس هر که در سخنانش راست گوید، قدرش بزرگ شود.

Adopt truthfulness, for whoever is truthful in his speech, his status is elevated.

حکمت ۵۳۱۵ — موضوع ۳۴۲ · TruthfulnessSaying 5315 — Truthfulness

عاقِبَةُ الصِّدْقِ نَجاةٌ وَسَلامَةٌ.

عاقبتِ راستی نجات و سلامت است.

The end result of truthfulness is salvation and security.

حکمت ۵۳۱۶ — موضوع ۳۴۲ · TruthfulnessSaying 5316 — Truthfulness

غاضَ الصِّدْقُ فِي النّاسِ، وفاضَ الكِذْبُ وَاسْتُعْمِلَتِ المَوَدَّةُ بِاللِّسانِ، وتَشاحَنُوا بِالقُلُوبِ.

راستی در میانِ مردم فروکش کرد و دروغ فوران کرد و دوستی به زبان به کار رفت و دل‌ها به کینه ورزید.

Truthfulness has diminished among the people and dishonesty has become abundant; love is been expressed by [people with their] tongue while they hate each other with their hearts.

حکمت ۵۳۱۷ — موضوع ۳۴۲ · TruthfulnessSaying 5317 — Truthfulness

لِكُلِّ شَيْء حيلَةٌ (حِلْيَةٌ وحِلْيَةُ)، وحِيلَةُ المَنْطِقِ الصِّدْقُ.

هر چیز را حیله‌ای است [یا زیور] و حیلهٔ سخن راستی است.

For everything there is an adornment and the adornment of speech is truthfulness.

لِلْصِّدقِ نُجْعَةٌ.

راستی را دستاوردی است.

For [the speaker of] truth there is benefit.

حکمت ۵۳۱۹ — موضوع ۳۴۲ · TruthfulnessSaying 5319 — Truthfulness

لِيَكُنْ أوْثَقُ النّاسِ لَدَيْكَ أنْطَقَهُمْ بِالصِّدْقِ.

باید مطمئن‌ترینِ مردم نزد تو راستگوترینِ آنان باشد.

Let the most trustworthy of people in your estimation be the one who is most truthful in his speech.

لِيَكُنْ مَرْجِعُكَ إلَى الصِّدْقِ، فَإنَّ الصِّدْقَ خَيْرُ قَرين.

باید بازگشتت به راستی باشد؛ چرا که راستی بهترینِ همنشین است.

Let your recourse be to the truth, for indeed truth is the best companion.
