اَلثَّوابُ عَلَى المُصيبَةِ أعْظَمُ مِنْ قَدْرِ المُصِيبَةِ.
پاداشِ مصیبت بزرگ‌تر از اندازهٔ مصیبت است.
The reward for [bearing] hardship is greater than the extent of the hardship [itself].

حکمت ۵۴۲۱ تا ۵۴۴۰Sayings 5421 to 5440
إنَّكُمْ هَدَفُ النَّوائِبِ، ودَريئَةُ الأسْقامِ.
شما هدفِ سختی‌ها و نشانهٔ بیماری‌هایید.
Indeed you are the target of calamities and the object of sicknesses.
قَدْ تُذِلُّ الرَّزِيَّةُ.
چه بسا داغی که خوار سازد.
At times, tribulation may abase [a person].
إذا رَأيْتَ اللّهَ سُبْحانَهُ يُتابِـعُ عَلَيْكَ البَلاءَ فَقَدْ أيْقَظَكَ.
چون خدای سبحان را دیدی که بلا را بر تو پی‌درپی می‌فرستد، تو را بیدار کرده است.
When you see that Allah, the Glorified, is continuously testing you [with hardships], then [know that] He has woken you [from your slumber of negligence].
إذا تَباعَدَتِ المُصيبَةُ، قَرُبَتِ السَّلْوَةُ.
چون مصیبت دور شود، تسلا نزدیک شود.
When hardships distance themselves, solace draws near.
إذا رَأيْتَ رَبَّكَ يُوالي عَلَيْكَ البَلاءَ فَاشْكُرْهُ.
چون پروردگارت را دیدی که بلا را پی‌درپی بر تو می‌فرستد، سپاسش گوی.
When you see your Lord continually testing you [with hardships] then be grateful to Him.
إذا خِفْتَ صُعُوبَةَ أمْر فَاصْعُبْ لَهُ يَذِلُّ لَكَ، وخادِعِ الزَّمانَ عَنْ أحْداثِهِ تَهُنْ عَلَيْكَ.
چون از دشواریِ کاری بیم داری، بر آن دشوار باش تا برایت رام شود و روزگار را از حادثه‌هایش بفریب تا بر تو آسان شود.
When you fear the difficulty of an affair then be firm against it, it will yield to you; and deceive time about its calamities, it will become easy for you.
إذا أتَتْكَ المِحَنُ فَاقْعُدْ لَها فَإنَّ قِيامَكَ فيها زِيادَةٌ لَها.
چون محنت‌ها به تو رسند، برایشان بنشین؛ چرا که ایستادنت در آنها برایشان افزونی است.
When tribulations come to you then sit and accept them, for indeed your standing up and confronting them will only aggravate them.
إذا فاجاكَ البَلاءُ فَتَحَصَّنْ بِالصَّبْرِ والاِسْتِظْهارِ.
چون بلا ناگهانت رسید، به صبر و پشت‌گرمی در پناه شو.
When adversity takes you by surprise, then seek refuge in patience and in seeking assistance [from Allah].
بِالمَكارِهِ تُنالُ الجَنَّةُ.
به ناخوشی‌ها بهشت به دست آید.
Through discomforts, Paradise is attained.
بِالفَجايِـعِ يَتَنَغَّصُ السُُّـرُورُ.
به داغ‌ها شادی تلخ شود.
Through calamities, happiness is spoiled.
بِقَدْرِ عُلُوِّ الرَّفْعَةِ تَـكُونُ نِكايَةُ الوَقْعَةِ.
به اندازهٔ بلندیِ مرتبه، دردِ افتادن باشد.
The harm that one faces in calamity is to the extent of [the loftiness of] one’s rank.
بِالتَّعَبِ الشَّديدِ تُدْرَكُ الدَّرَجاتُ الرَّفيعَةُ والرَّاحَةُ الدَّائِمَةُ.
به رنجِ شدید درجاتِ بلند و آسایشِ پاینده به دست آید.
It is with great difficulty that lofty ranks and perpetual bliss are attained.
بَلاءُ الرَّجُلِ عَلى قَدْرِ إيمانِهِ وَدينِهِ.
بلایِ مرد به اندازهٔ ایمان و دینِ اوست.
The trial of a man is proportionate to his faith and religion.
بَلاءُ الرَّجُلِ في طاعَةِ الطَّمَعِ والأمَلِ.
بلایِ مرد در پیروی از طمع و آرزوست.
The tribulation of a man is in his submission to avarice and [false] and hope.
تَنْزِلُ المَثُوبَةُ عَلى قَدْرِ المُصيبَةِ.
پاداش به اندازهٔ مصیبت فرود آید.
Reward descends in proportion to the hardship [that one bears].
ثَلاثٌ مِنْ أعْظَمِ البَلاءِ: كَثْرَةُ العائِلَةِ، وغَلَبَةُ الدَّيْنِ، ودَوامُ المَرَضِ.
سه چیز است از بزرگ‌ترینِ بلا: زیادیِ عیال و چیرگیِ بدهی و دوامِ بیماری.
Three things are from the greatest tribulations: a very large family, an overwhelming loan and unrelenting sickness.
ثَوابُ المُصيبَةِ عَلى قَدْرِ الصَّبْرِ عَلَيْها.
پاداشِ مصیبت به اندازهٔ صبر بر آن است.
The reward for hardship is proportionate to the patience exhibited in it.
دَوامُ الفِتَنِ مِنْ أعْظَمِ المِحَنِ.
دوامِ فتنه‌ها از بزرگ‌ترینِ محنت‌هاست.
Continual strife is from the greatest tribulations.
رُبَّما دُهيتَ مِنْ نَفْسِكَ.
چه بسا از جانت به تو بلایی رسد.
Sometimes you may be the cause of your own misfortune.
