حکمت ۵۷۲۱ — موضوع ۳۷۷ · CovetousnessSaying 5721 — Covetousness

اَلطَّامِعُ أبَداً في وِثاقِ الذُّلِّ.

طمع‌ورز همیشه در بندِ خواری است.

The coveter is forever in the shackles of disgrace.

حکمت ۵۷۲۲ — موضوع ۳۷۸ · HaughtinessSaying 5722 — Haughtiness

مَنِ اسْتَطالَ عَلَى الإخْوانِ لَمْ يَخْـلُصْ لَهُ إنْسانٌ.

هر که بر برادران دراز شود، هیچ انسانی بر او خالص نشود.

Whoever is haughty with his brothers, nobody will be sincere with him.

مَنِ اسْتَطالَ عَلَى النّاسِ بِقُدْرَتِهِ سُلِبَ القُدْرَةُ.

هر که با قدرتش بر مردم دراز شود، قدرت از او ربوده شود.

Whoever is haughty with people because of his authority, his authority will get stripped away.

اَلاِسْتِطالَةُ لِسانُ الغِوايَةِ والجَهالَةِ.

درازی‌کردن زبانِ گمراهی و نادانی است.

Haughtiness is the language of error and ignorance.

حکمت ۵۷۲۵ — موضوع ۳۷۸ · HaughtinessSaying 5725 — Haughtiness

لاتَسْتَطِلْ عَلى مَنْ لاتَسْتَرِقَّ. [^1]: Meaning that one should not be haughty with those who are not his slaves.

بر آن که به بندگی‌ات نیستی دراز مشو.

Do not be haughty with the one whom you have not enslaved.[^1]

حکمت ۵۷۲۶ — موضوع ۳۷۹ · Innermost ThoughtsSaying 5726 — Innermost Thoughts

مِنَ البَليَّةِ سُوءُ الطَّويَّةِ.

از بلا بدیِ درون است.

One of the [great] tribulations is [having] evil inner thoughts.

اَلطَّيْشُ يُنَـكِّدُ العَيْشَ.

سبکی زندگی را تلخ کند.

Frivolity [and heedlessness] makes life bitter.

حکمت ۵۷۲۸ — موضوع ۳۸۱ · VictorySaying 5728 — Victory

اَلظَّفَرُ بِالحَزْمِ، والحَزْمُ بِالتَّجارِبِ.

پیروزی به تدبیر است و تدبیر به تجربه‌ها.

Victory is [attained] by prudence, and prudence comes through experience.

حکمت ۵۷۲۹ — موضوع ۳۸۱ · VictorySaying 5729 — Victory

حَلاوَةُ الظَّفَرِ تَمْحُو مَرارَةَ الصَّبْرِ.

شیرینیِ پیروزی تلخیِ صبر را بزداید.

The sweetness of victory effaces the bitterness of patience.

زَكاةُ الظَّفَرِ الإحْسانُ.

زکاتِ پیروزی نیکی است.

The alms-tax of victory is benevolence.

ما ظَفِرَ مَنْ ظَفَرَ الإثْمُ بِهِ.

آن که گناه بر او پیروز شود، پیروز نیست.

He who has been vanquished by sin has not gained victory.

مِفْتاحُ الظَّفَرِ لُزُومُ الصَّبْرِ.

کلیدِ پیروزی پایبندیِ صبر است.

The key to victory is remaining patient.

حکمت ۵۷۳۳ — موضوع ۳۸۱ · VictorySaying 5733 — Victory

لاتَبْطِرَنَّ بِالظَّفَرِ، فَإنَّكَ لا تَأمَنُ ظَفَرَ الزَّمانِ بِكَ.

به پیروزی سرمست مشو؛ چرا که از پیروزیِ روزگار بر خود ایمن نیستی.

Never become vain because of [your] victory, for indeed you are not safe from the victory of time over you.

حکمت ۵۷۳۴ — موضوع ۳۸۱ · VictorySaying 5734 — Victory

لا ظَفَرَ لِمَنْ لا صَبْرَ لَهُ.

آن را که صبر نیست پیروزی نیست.

There is no victory for the one who has no patience.

اَلظَّفَرُ شافِعُ المُذْنِبِ.

پیروزی شفیعِ گنهکار است.

Victory is the intercessor of the guilty.

حکمت ۵۷۳۶ — موضوع ۳۸۲ · Injustice And OppressionSaying 5736 — Injustice And Oppression

أُذْكُرْ عِنْدَ الظُّلْمِ عَدْلَ اللّهِ فيكَ، وعِنْدَ القُدْرَةِ قُدْرَةَ اللّهِ عَلَيْكَ.

در هنگامِ ستم، عدلِ خداوند را در حقّ خودت، و در هنگامِ قدرت، قدرتِ خداوند را بر خویشتن به یاد آر.

In times of injustice, remember the justice of Allah with you and when you are powerful, [recall] the power of Allah over you.

حکمت ۵۷۳۷ — موضوع ۳۸۲ · Injustice And OppressionSaying 5737 — Injustice And Oppression

اِتَّقُوا البَغْيَ فَإنَّهُ يَجْلِبُ النِّقَمَ،وَ يَسْلُبُ النِّعَمَ،وَ يُوجِبُ الغِيَرَ.

از بغی بپرهیزید، که همانا کیفرهای [الهی] را فرا خواند و نعمت‌ها را برباید و دگرگونی‌ها را در پی دارد.

Beware of oppression, for verily it brings [divine] retribution, dispels blessings and causes changes in circumstances.

أُبْعُدُوا عَنِ الظُّلْمِ، فَإنَّهُ أعْظَمُ الجَرائِمِ، وأكْبَرُ المَ آثِمِ.

از ستم دوری کنید، که همانا بزرگ‌ترینِ جرم‌ها و بزرگ‌ترینِ گناهان است.

Distance yourselves from injustice, for indeed it is the greatest of wrongdoings and the biggest of sins.

إيّاكَ والظُّلْمَ، فَمَنْ ظَلَمَ كَرُهَتْ أيّامُهُ.

از ستم بپرهیز، که هر که ستم کرد، روزگارش منفور گردد.

Keep away from injustice for whoever acts unjustly, his days are abhorred.

حکمت ۵۷۴۰ — موضوع ۳۸۲ · Injustice And OppressionSaying 5740 — Injustice And Oppression

إيّاكَ والظُّلْمَ، فَإنَّهُ يَزُولُ عَمَّنْ تَظْلِمُهُ، ويَبْقى عَلَيْكَ.

از ستم بپرهیز، که همانا از آن کس که بر او ستم می‌کنی زایل می‌شود و بر تو باقی می‌ماند.

Keep away from injustice, for indeed it will depart from the one whom you oppress and will remain upon you.
