اَلظُّلْمُ يُوجِبُ النّارَ.
ستم، آدمی را به آتش [دوزخ] می‌رساند.
Injustice causes one to enter hellfire.
اَلبَغْيُ يُوجِبُ الدِّمارَ.
بغی به نابودی می‌کشاند.
Oppression leads to destruction.
اَلظُّلْمُ اَلأَمُ الرَّذائِلِ.
ستم، پلیدترینِ رذایل است.
Injustice is the most wicked vice.
اَلظُّلْمُ بَوارُ الرَّعِيَّةِ.
ستم، نابودیِ رعیت است.
Injustice is the ruination of the populace.
اَلقُدْرَةُ يُزيلُهَا العُدْوانُ.
قدرت به دستِ تجاوزورزی زایل می‌شود.
Power is expunged by aggression.
اَلظُّلْمُ تَبِعاتٌ مُوبِقاتٌ.
ستم، پیامدهای ویرانگر دارد.
Injustice has a series of destructive consequences.
اَلبَغْيُ أعْجَلُ شَيْء عُقُوبَةً.
بغی زودترین چیز در کیفر است.
Oppression is the quickest thing to be punished.
اَلظُّلْمُ يُدَمِّرُ الدِّيارَ.
ستم خانه‌ها را ویران کند.
Injustice destroys homes.
اَلظُّلْمُ يُرْدي صاحِبَهُ.
ستم، صاحبِ خود را هلاک کند.
Injustice destroys the one who practices it.
اَلْبَغْيُ سائِقٌ إلَى الحَيْنِ.
بغی [آدمی را] به هلاکت می‌راند.
Oppression drives [one] towards utter destruction.
اَلظُّلمُ جُرْمٌ لايُنْسى.
ستم، جرمی است که فراموش نشود.
Injustice is a crime that cannot be forgotten.
اَلبَغْيُ يَصْرَعُ الرِّجالَ، ويُدْنِي الآجالَ.
بغی مردان را بر زمین زند و اجل‌ها را نزدیک کند.
Oppression causes the downfall of men and brings [their] deaths closer.
إذا حَدَتْكَ القُدْرَةُ عَلى ظُلْمِ النّاسِ فَاذْكُرْ قُدْرَةَ اللّهِ سُبْحانَهُ عَلى عُقُوبَتِكَ، وذَهابَ ما آتَيْتَ إلَيْهِمْ عَنْهُمْ، وبَقائَهُ عَلَيْكَ.
چون قدرت تو را به ستم بر مردم بخواند، پس قدرتِ خداوند سبحان را به عقوبتِ تو، و رفتنِ آنچه بر ایشان آورده‌ای از ایشان و باقی‌ماندنِ آن بر تو، به یاد آر.
When power prompts you to be unjust to people, then remember the power of Allah, the Glorified, to punish you; and [recall the fact] that what you have brought upon them will depart from them while it will remain with you.
بالظُّلْمِ تَزُولُ النِّعَمُ.
به سبب ستم، نعمت‌ها زایل می‌شوند.
By injustice, blessings are removed.
بِالبَغْيِ تُجْلَبُ النِّقَمُ.
به سبب بغی، کیفر فرود آورده شود.
By oppression, chastisement is brought down.
بِئْسَ الظُّلْمُ ظُلْمُ المُسْتَسْلِمِ.
چه زشت است ستمی که بر فرمان‌برده می‌شود!
How bad an injustice is the injustice to one who is submissive!
بِئْسَ الزّادُ إلَى المَعادِ العُدْوانُ عَلَى العِبادِ.
چه بد توشه‌ای به سوی بازگشت است ستمگری بر بندگان [خدا]!
How evil a provision for the Hereafter is oppressiveness to the servants [of Allah]!
دَوامُ الظُّلْمِ يَسْلُبُ النِّعَمَ ويَجْلُبُ النِّقَمَ.
استمرارِ ستم نعمت را برباید و کیفر را فرا خواند.
Continued injustice takes away blessings and brings forth chastisement.
داوُوا الجَوْرَ بِالعَدْلِ، وداوُوا الفَقْرَ بِالصَّدَقَةِ والبَذْلِ.
به عدل، ستم را درمان کن؛ و با صدقه و بخشش، فقر را.
Remedy injustice with justice and cure poverty with alms and charity.
