راكِبُ الظُّلْمِ يُدْرِكُهُ البَوارُ.
سوارِ ستم را نابودی دررسد.
One who embarks of injustice is met with ruin.
راكِبُ الظُّلْمِ يَكْبُوبِهِ مَرْكَبُهُ.
هر که مرکبِ ستم سوار شود، مرکبش با او بلغزد.
Whoever rides the mount of injustice, his mount will stumble with him.
شَـرُّ أخْلاقِ النُّفُوسِ الجَوْرُ.
بدترین خویِ جان‌ها ستمگری است.
The most evil characteristic of the souls is oppression.
شَيْئانِ لا تُسْلَمُ عاقِبَتُهُما: الظُّلْمُ، والشَّـرُّ (الشَّرَهُ).
دو چیز است که از پیامد [زشت] ایشان در امان نباشی: ستم و بدی (یا شکم‌بارگی).
Two things are such that one cannot be safe from their [evil] consequences: injustice and evil (or gluttony).
ضادُّوا الجَوْرَ بِالعَدْلِ.
با عدل، ستمگری را به ضدّ خود برگردانید.
Counter oppression with justice.
طاعَةُ الجَوْرِ تُوجِبُ الهُلْكَ، وتَأتي عَلَى المُلْكِ.
فرمان‌برداری از ستمگر هلاکت آورد و بر مُلک رو آورد.
Submission to tyranny causes destruction and annihilates the kingdom.
ظُلْمُ الضَّعيفِ أفْحَشُ الظُّلْمِ.
ستم بر ناتوان، زشت‌ترینِ ستم است.
Being unjust to the weak is the most grievous injustice.
ظُلْمُ المُسْتَسْلِمِ أعْظَمُ الجُرْمِ.
ستم بر تسلیم‌شده، بزرگ‌ترینِ جرم است.
Injustice to the one who has surrendered is the greatest crime.
ظُلْمُ العِبادِ يُفْسِدُ المَعادَ.
ستم بر مردم، بازگشت [آخرت] را تباه کند.
Being unjust to the people corrupts one’s Hereafter.
ظاهَرَ اللّهَ سُبْحانَهُ بِالْعِنادِ مَنْ ظَلَمَ العِبادَ.
هر که بر بندگان ستم کند، با خداوند سبحان به ستیز برخاسته است.
One who oppresses the people has manifested his obdurate opposition to Allah, the Glorified.
ظُلْمُ المَرْءِ فِي الدُّنْيا عُنْوانُ شَقائِهِ فِي الآخِرَةِ.
ستمِ آدمی در دنیا، نشانهٔ شقاوتِ او در آخرت است.
The injustice of a man in this world is the symbol of his wretchedness in the Hereafter.
ظُلْمُ اليَتامى والأيامى يُنْزِلُ النِّقَمَ ويَسْلُبُ النِّعَمَ أهْلَها.
ستم بر یتیمان و بیوه‌زنان کیفرهای [الهی] را فرود آورد و نعمت را از صاحبانش برباید.
Injustice to orphans and widows brings down divine wrath and takes away the blessings from those who possess them.
فِي الجَوْرِ الطُّغْيانُ.
در ستمگری، طغیان است.
In tyranny there is transgression.
فِي الجَوْرِ هَلاكُ الرَّعِيَّةِ.
در ستمگری، هلاکتِ رعیت است.
The destruction of the populace is in tyranny.
كَمْ مِنْ نِعْمَة سَلَبَها ظُلْمٌ.
چه بسیار نعمتی که ستمش بربود!
How many a blessing has been removed by injustice!
كَفى بِالظُّلْمِ طارِداً لِلنِّعْمَةِ، وجالِباً لِلنِّقْمَةِ.
ستم، رانندهٔ نعمت و فراخوانندهٔ کیفر بس است.
Injustice is enough of a dispeller of blessing and an invoker of chastisement.
كَفى بِالبَغْيِ سالِباً لِلنِّعْمَةِ.
بغی، برای زایل‌کردنِ نعمت بس است.
Oppression is sufficient for the removal of blessing.
لَيْسَ شَيْءٌ أدْعى إلى زَوالِ نِعْمَة، وتَعْجِيلِ نِقْمَة مِنْ إقامَة عَلى ظُلْم.
چیزی موجب‌تر از زوالِ نعمت و شتابِ کیفر نیست به ماندن بر ستم.
There is nothing that is more summoning of the removal of blessing and the hastening of chastisement than remaining steadfast upon injustice.
مَنْ حُمِدَ عَلَى الظُّلْمِ مُكِرَ بِهِ.
هر که به سبب ستم ستوده شود، در حقّش مکر می‌شود.
One who is praised for injustice is being plotted against [and deceived].
