مَنْ كَثُرَ ظُلْمُهُ كَثُرَتْ نَدامَتُهُ.
هر که ستمش بسیار شد، پشیمانی‌اش بسیار گردد.
One whose injustice is excessive, his regret is abundant.

حکمت ۵۸۰۱ تا ۵۸۲۰Sayings 5801 to 5820
مَنْ سَلَّ سَيْفَ البَغْيِ غُمِدَ فِي رَأْسِهِ.
هر که شمشیرِ بغی بکشد، سرش نیامِ آن گردد.
Whoever unsheathes the sword of oppression [on the people], his head becomes its sheath.
مِنْ أفْحَشِ الظُّلْمِ ظُلْمُ الكِرامِ.
از زشت‌ترین ستم‌ها، ستم بر بزرگواران است.
One of the most grievous injustices is the injustice of [or against] the honourable ones.
لاتُطْمِعِ العُظَماءَ في حَيْفِكَ.
بزرگان را بر ستم‌ورزی به خود مایل مَکَن.
Do not make the nobles desirous of your cruelty [in their favour over those who oppose them].
لاتَبْسُطَنَّ يَدَكَ على مَنْ لايَقْدِرُ عَلى دَفْعِها عَنْهُ.
دستت را بر کسی دراز مکَن که توانِ دفعِ آن از خود ندارد.
Do not stretch out your hand against one who is unable to stave it off from himself.
لاتَظْلِمَنَّ مَنْ لايَجِدُ ناصِراً إلاّ اللّهَ.
هرگز بر کسی ستم مکَن که جز خدا یاوری ندارد.
Never oppress one who has no helper except Allah.
لايَكْبـُرَنَّ عَلَيْكَ ظُلْمُ مَنْ ظَلَمَكَ فَإنَّهُ يَسْعى في مَضَرَّتِهِ ونَفْعِكَ، وَما جَزاءُ مَنْ يَسُـرُّكَ أنْ تَسُوءَهُ.
ستمِ آن کس که بر تو ستم کرده بزرگ مشمار، که همانا تلاشش جز زیانِ خود و سودِ تو نیست؛ و پاداشِ کسی که تو را شاد می‌کند آن نیست که او را بیازاری.
Consider not the injustice of the one who is unjust to you as grave, for indeed his striving only harms himself and benefits you; and it is not the reward of one who pleases you that you should offend him.
لاسَوْأَةَ كَالظُّلْمِ.
هیچ بدی همچون ستم نیست.
There is no evil like injustice.
لاظَفَرَ مَعَ بَغْي.
با بغی پیروزی نیست.
There is no victory with oppression.
لايُؤْمِنُ بِالمَعادِ مَنْ لايَتَحَرَّجُ عَنْ ظُلْمِ العِبادِ.
کسی که از ستم بر بندگان پرهیز نکند، به بازگشت [آخرت] ایمان ندارد.
He who does not refrain from oppressing people does not believe in the Hereafter.
لايُؤْمِنُ اللّهُ عَذابَهُ مَنْ لايَأمَنُ النّاسُ جَوْرَهُ.
کسی که مردم از ستمش در امان نباشند، از عذابِ خدا در امان نیست.
One from whose oppression people are not safe is not safe from the punishment of Allah.
يَنامُ الرَّجُلِ عَلَى الثُّكْلِ، وَلايَنامُ علَى الظُّلْمِ.
مرد بر سوگِ فرزند می‌خوابد، ولی بر ستم نمی‌خوابد.
A man may sleep after the loss of a child but he will not sleep under [the yoke of] oppression.
اَلجَوْرُ أحَدُ المُدَمِّرَينْ.
ستمگری، یکی از دو نابودگر است.
Tyranny is one of the two destroyers.
اَلظُّلْمُ يُزِلُّ القَدَمَ ويَسْلُبُ النِّعَمَ ويُهْلِكُ الأُمَمَ.
ستم پای را لغزاند، نعمت را برباید و امت‌ها را هلاک کند.
Injustice makes the foot slip, takes away blessings and destroys nations.
اَلظُّلْمُ فِي الدُّنيا بَوارٌ وفِي الآخِرَةِ دَمارٌ.
ستم در دنیا نابودی و در آخرت ویرانی است.
Injustice in this world is ruination and in the Hereafter, [it is] destruction.
إيّاكَ والجَوْرَ، فَإنَّ الجائِرَ لايَريحُ رائِحَةَ الجَنَّةِ.
از ستمگری بپرهیز، که همانا ستمگر بوی بهشت را نچشد.
Keep away from tyranny, for indeed the tyrant will not [even] smell the fragrance of Paradise.
اَلجَوْرُ تَبِعاتٌ.
ستمگری پیامدهای زشت دارد.
Tyranny brings negative consequences.
اَلجَوْرُ مُضادُّ العَدْلِ.
ستمگری، ناهم‌ترازِ عدل است.
Tyranny is the antithesis of justice.
مَنْ كَثُرَ شَطَطُهُ كَثُرَ سَخَطُهُ.
هر که تعدّی‌اش بسیار شد، خشمش بسیار گردد.
One whose violations increase, his exasperation [also] increases.
اَلجَوْرُ مِمْحاةٌ.
ستمگری، پاک‌کننده [ی نیکی‌ها] است.
Oppression is an eraser [of good deeds].
