أظْلَمُ النَّاسِ مَنْ سَنَّ سُنَنَ الجَوْرِ، ومَحى سُنَنَ العَدْلِ.
ستمگرترینِ مردم کسی است که سنت‌های ستمگری را بنشاند و سنت‌های عدل را محو کند.
he most unjust of men is one who establishes the practice of oppression and abolishes the practice of justice.
الظّالِمُ مَلُومٌ.
ستمگر نکوهیده است.
The unjust is blameworthy.
اَلظَّالِمُ يَنْتَظِرُ العُقُوْبَةَ.
ستمگر در انتظارِ عقوبت است.
Punishment awaits the unjust.
ظالِمُ النّاسِ يَوْمَ القِيمَةِ مَنْكُوبٌ بِظُلْمِهِ مُعَذَّبٌ مَحْرُوبٌ.
ستمگرِ مردم در روز قیامت به سبب ستمش مصیبت‌زده، عذاب‌یافته و محروم است.
On the Day of Judgment, the oppressor of the people will be afflicted, chastised and despoiled because of his injustice.
لِكُلِّ ظالِم اِنْتِقامٌ.
برای هر ستمگری انتقامی است.
For every oppressor there is a reprisal.
لِكُلِّ ظالِم عُقُوْبَةٌ لاتَعْدُوهُ، وصَرْعَةٌ لاتَخْطُوهُ.
برای هر ستمگری کیفری است که از آن نگذرد و زمین‌خوردنی است که از او نگذرد.
For every oppressor there is a punishment that he cannot escape, and a downfall that will not pass him by.
لِلظّالِمِ اِنْتِقامٌ.
برای ستمگر انتقامی است.
For the unjust there is reprisal.
لِلظّالِمِ بِكَفِّهِ عَضَّةٌ.
برای ستمگر گزیدنِ دست [خویش] است.
For the unjust there is a biting of his hand.[^1]
لِلظّالِمِ مِنَ الرِّجالِ ثَلاثُ عَلامات: يَظْلِمُ مَنْ فَوْقَهُ بِالمَعْصِيَةِ، ومَنْ دُوْنَهُ بِالغَلَبَةِ، ويُظاهِرُ الْقَوْمَ الظَّلَمَةَ.
برای ستمگر از میانِ مردم سه نشانه است: بر آن کس که بالاتر از اوست با نافرمانی ستم کند، و بر آن کس که پایین‌تر از اوست با چیرگی، و با گروهِ ستمگران همراهی کند.
There are three signs of the unjust among the people: being unjust to the one who is above him by disobedience, and to the one below him by overruling him, and supporting the faction of oppressors.
مَنْ ظَلَمَ ظُلِمَ.
هر که ستم کرد، بر او ستم شد.
One who oppresses [others] gets oppressed.
مَنْ ظَلَمَ أفْسَدَ أمْرَهُ.
هر که ستم کرد، کارش را تباه کرد.
One who acts unjustly corrupts his affair.
مَنْ جارَ قَصَمَ عُمْرَهُ.
هر که ستم ورزید، عمرش شکست.
One who oppresses [others] breaks [and shortens] his lifespan.
مَنْ جارَ أهْلَكَهُ جَوْرُهُ.
هر که ستم ورزید، ستمش او را هلاک کند.
One who is oppressive is destroyed by his oppression.
مَنْ ظَلَمَ دَمَّرَ عَلَيْهِ ظُلْمُهُ.
هر که ستم کرد، ستمش بر او ویرانگر شد.
One who is unjust is annihilated by his injustice.
مَنْ ظَلَمَ عَظُمَتْ صَرْعَتُهُ.
هر که ستم کرد، زمین‌خوردنش بزرگ شود.
One who is unjust, his downfall is great.
مَنْ بَغى عُجِّلَتْ هَلْكَتُهُ.
هر که بغی کرد، هلاکتش شتابید.
One who oppresses, his destruction is hastened.
مَنْ ظَلَمَ أوْبَقَهُ ظُلْمُهُ.
هر که ستم کرد، ستمش او را هلاک کند.
One who is unjust is ruined by his injustice.
مَنْ ظَلَمَ قُصِمَ عُمْرُهُ.
هر که ستم کرد، عمرش شکست.
One who is unjust, his life is broken [and shortened].
مَنْ ظَلَمَ عِبادَاللّهِ كانَ اللّهُ خَصْمَهُ دُونَ عِبادِهِ.
هر که بر بندگانِ خدا ستم کند، خداوند در برابرِ بندگانش دشمنِ او گردد.
Whoever oppresses the servants of Allah, it is Allah who becomes his enemy instead of His servants.
