حکمت ۶۳۲۱ تا ۶۳۴۰Sayings 6321 to 6340
مَنِ اعْتَزَّ بِغَيْرِ اللّهِ أهْلَكَهُ العِزُّ.
هر که با چیزی جز خدا عزّت گیرد، عزت او را هلاک کند.
One who seeks glory through [anyone] other than Allah is destroyed by [the] glory.
مَنْ يَطْلُبِ العِزَّ بِغَيْرِ حَقّ يَذِلُّ.
هر که عزتی را بی‌حق جوید، خوار شود.
One who seeks glory without having any right to it gets humiliated.
مَنِ اعْتَزَّ بِغَيْرِ الحَقِّ أذَلَّهُ اللّهُ بِالحَقِّ.
هر که با چیزی جز حق عزّت گیرد، خداوند او را به حق ذلیل کند.
One who seeks glory through [anything] other than truth, Allah humiliates him with [the] truth.
لاعِزَّ إلاّ بِالطّاعَةِ.
عزتی جز به فرمان‌برداری نیست.
There is no glory except through obedience [to Allah].
اَلعَزيزُ مَنِ اعْتَزَّ بِالطّاعَةِ.
عزّت‌مند آن است که به فرمان‌برداری عزّت گیرد.
The honoured is the one who becomes honoured through obedience [to Allah].
إذا طَلَبْتَ العِزَّ فَاطْلُبْهُ بِالطّاعَةِ.
چون عزت خواستی، به فرمان‌برداری بجوی.
When you seek glory, then seek it through obedience [to Allah].
ما عَزَّ مَنْ ذَلَّ جيرانُهُ.
آن کس که همسایگانش ذلیل باشند عزتمند نیست.
He whose neighbours are abased is not honoured.[^1]
اَلعِزُّ إدْراكُ الاِنْتِصارِ.
عزت به دست آوردنِ قدرتِ انتقام است.
Glory is the attainment of [the power to exact] revenge.
كُلُّ عِزّ لايُؤَيِّدُهُ دينٌ مَذَلَّةٌ. [^1]: Or: One who humiliates his neighbours is not honoured.
هر عزتی که دین پشتیبانش نکند، ذلت است.
Every glory that is not endorsed by religion is a humiliation.
فِي اعْتِزالِ أبْناءِ الدُّنيا جِماعُ الصَّلاحِ.
در دوری از مردمانِ دنیا گِردآوریِ صلاح است.
In seclusion from the worldly people there is accumulation of goodness.
مَنِ اعْتَزَلَ سَلِمَ.
هر که دوری اختیار کرد، در امان ماند.
One who secludes [from the people] himself remains safe.
مَنِ اخْتَبـَرَ اِعْتَزَلَ.
هر که (مردمِ دنیاخواه را) آزمود، دوری را پیشه کند.
One who tests [the people who love this world] secludes himself [from them].
مَنِ اعْتَزَلَ حَسُنَتْ زَهادَتُهُ.
هر که دوری پیشه کرد، زهدش نیکو گردد.
One who secludes himself, his indifference towards the pleasures of this world becomes strong.
مَنِ اعْتَزَلَ سَلِمَ وَرَعُهُ.
هر که دوری پیشه کرد، پرهیزگاری‌اش پناه یابد.
Whoever secludes himself, his piety remains safeguarded?
مَنِ اعْتَزَلَ النّاسَ سَلِمَ مِنْ شَرِّهِمْ.
هر که از مردم روی گرداند، از بدی‌شان در امان ماند.
One who secludes himself from the people is safe from their evil.
نِعْمَ العِبادَةُ العُزْلَةُ.
چه نیکو عبادتی گوشه‌نشینی است!
How good a worship seclusion is!
مَنِ انْفَرَدَ عَنِ النّاسِ صانَ دينَهُ.
هر که از مردم جدا شود، دینش را نگه دارد.
One who isolates himself from the people preserves his religion.
مَنِ انْفَرَدَ عَنِ النّاسِ أَنِسَ بِاللّهِ سُبْحانَهُ.
هر که از مردم جدا شود، با خداوند سبحان انس گیرد.
One who isolates himself from the people becomes intimate with Allah, the Glorified.
اَلسَّلامَةُ فِي التَّفَرُّدِ.
سلامتی در تنهایی است.
Safety is in solitude.
