حکمت ۶۴۸۱ — گذشت و بخشایشSaying 6481 — Forgiveness And Pardonتَجاوَزْ مَعَ القُدْرَةِ وأحْسِنْ مَعَ الدَّوْلَةِ تَـكْمُلْ لَكَ السِّيادَةُ.
با داشتن قدرت درگذر و در هنگام اقتدار نیکی کن تا سروری‌ات کامل شود.
Overlook despite having power [to punish] and do good while possessing authority, [for by this] your mastery will become complete.
حکمت ۶۴۸۲ — گذشت و بخشایشSaying 6482 — Forgiveness And Pardonتَجاوَزْ عَنِ الزَّلَلِ، وأقِلِ العَثَراتِ، تُرْفَعْ لَكَ الدَّرَجاتُ.
از لغزش درگذر و عثره‌ها را ببخشای تا درجه‌هایت بالا رود.
Overlook missteps and pardon mistakes, [for by this] your station will be elevated.
حکمت ۶۴۸۳ — گذشت و بخشایشSaying 6483 — Forgiveness And Pardonتَغَمَّدِ الذُّنُوبَ بِالغُفْرانِ، سِيَّما في ذَوِى المُرُوءَةِ والهَيْئاتِ.
گناهان را با آمرزش بپوشان، به‌ویژه در حق بزرگواران و آبرومندان.
Cover up offences with forgiveness, especially for those who possess magnanimity and social standing.
حکمت ۶۴۸۴ — گذشت و بخشایشSaying 6484 — Forgiveness And Pardonتَغافَلْ يُحْمَدْ أمْرُكَ.
تغافل کن تا کارت پسندیده شود.
Feign heedlessness [about the mistakes of others] and your affair will be praised.
حکمت ۶۴۸۵ — گذشت و بخشایشSaying 6485 — Forgiveness And Pardonجازِ بِالحَسَنَةِ، وتَجاوَزْ عَنِ السَّيِّئَةِ، ما لَمْ يَكُنْ ثَلَماً فِي الدّينِ، أوْ وَهْناً في سُلْطانِ الإسْلامِ.
نیکی را پاداش ده و از بدی درگذر، تا زمانی که رخنه‌ای در دین یا سستی‌ای در سلطنت اسلام در کار نباشد.
Reward goodness and overlook offence, as long as it is not a breach in religion or an undermining of the authority of Islam.
حکمت ۶۴۸۶ — گذشت و بخشایشSaying 6486 — Forgiveness And Pardonخُذِ العَفْوَ مِنَ النّاسِ، ولاتَبْلُغ مِنْ أحَد مَكْرُوهَهُ.
با مردم مدارا و گذشت پیشه کن و دست به آنچه ناخوشایند کسی است مَرِسان.
Adopt [the policy of] excusing the people and do not extend your hand to that which is disagreeable to anyone of them.[^1]
حکمت ۶۴۸۷ — گذشت و بخشایشSaying 6487 — Forgiveness And Pardonدَعِ الاِنْتِقامَ فَإنَّهُ مِنْ أسْوَءِ أفْعالِ المَقْتَدِرِ، ولَقَدْ أخَذَ بِجَوامِعِ الفَضْلِ مَنْ رَفَعَ نَفْسَهُ عَنْ سُوءِ المُجازاةِ.
انتقام را وا نه که از زشت‌ترین کارهای توانمند است؛ و هر که خود را از بد کیفر دادن بالاتر نهد، جامع فضیلت را دریافته است.
Do away with revenge, for indeed it is from the worst actions of the powerful, and he who raises himself above the evil of reprisals has taken hold of the accumulation of merits.
حکمت ۶۴۸۸ — گذشت و بخشایشSaying 6488 — Forgiveness And Pardonعِنْدَ كَمالِ القُدْرَةِ تَظْهَرُ فَضيلَةُ العَفْوِ.
فضیلت گذشت آن‌گاه آشکار می‌شود که قدرت به کمال رسد.
It is when one possesses complete authority that the virtue of forgiveness becomes manifest.
حکمت ۶۴۸۹ — گذشت و بخشایشSaying 6489 — Forgiveness And Pardonقِلَّةُ العَفْوِ أقْبَحُ العُيُوبِ، والتَّسَرُّعُ إلَى الاِنْتِقامِ أعْظَمُ الذُّنُوبِ.
کم‌گذشتی زشت‌ترین عیب‌هاست و شتاب در انتقام بزرگ‌ترین گناهان.
Lack of forgiveness is the ugliest of flaws and rushing to exact revenge is the gravest of sins.
حکمت ۶۴۹۰ — گذشت و بخشایشSaying 6490 — Forgiveness And Pardonقَبُولُ عُذْرِ المُجْرِمِ مِنْ مَواجِبِ الكَرَمِ ومَحاسِنِ الشِّيَمِ.
پذیرفتن عذر خطاکار، از موجبات کرم و محاسن خوی‌هاست.
Accepting the excuse of a wrongdoer is from the acts that bring honour and the [is] the most excellent of traits.
حکمت ۶۴۹۱ — گذشت و بخشایشSaying 6491 — Forgiveness And Pardonكَفى بِالظَّفَرِ شافِعاً لِلْمُذْنِبِ.
پیروزی برای بخشیدن خطاکار شفيعی بس است.
Victory is a sufficient intercessor for the sinner.
حکمت ۶۴۹۲ — گذشت و بخشایشSaying 6492 — Forgiveness And Pardonكُنْ جَميلَ العَفْوِ إذا قَدَرْتَ عامِلاً بِالعَدْلِ إذا مَلَكْتَ.
چون قدرت یافتی نیکو ببخش و چون حکومت یافتی به عدالت رفتار کن.
Be graciously forgiving when you become powerful and act justly when you are in authority.
حکمت ۶۴۹۳ — گذشت و بخشایشSaying 6493 — Forgiveness And Pardonكُنْ عَفُوّاً في قُدْرَتِكَ، جَواداً في عُسْرَتِكَ، مُؤْثِراً مَعَ فاقَتِكَ، يَكْمُلْ لَكَ الفَضْلُ تَـكْمُلُ لَكَ الفَضائِلُ).
در توانایی‌ات گذشت‌کننده باش و در تنگنایت بخشنده و با وجود نیازمندی‌ات ایثارگر تا فضیلت برایت کامل شود.
Be forgiving when you are powerful, generous in your affluence and altruistic despite your poverty, then virtue will become perfected for you (or virtues will become perfected for you).
حکمت ۶۴۹۴ — گذشت و بخشایشSaying 6494 — Forgiveness And Pardonمَنْ عَفى عَنِ الجَرائِمِ فَقَدْ أخَذَ بِجَوامِعِ الفَضْلِ.
هر که از جرم‌ها درگذرد، جامع فضیلت را دریافته است.
One who forgives wrongdoings has taken hold of the accumulation of merits.
حکمت ۶۴۹۵ — گذشت و بخشایشSaying 6495 — Forgiveness And Pardonمَنْ لَمْ يُحْسِنِ العَفْوَ أساءَ بِالاِنْتِقامِ.
هر که نیکیِ گذشت نکند، با انتقام ستم روا دارد.
One who does not favour [others] with forgiveness, wrongs [them] through vengeance.
حکمت ۶۴۹۶ — گذشت و بخشایشSaying 6496 — Forgiveness And Pardonمَنْ لَمْ يَقْبَلِ التَّوْبَةَ عَظُمَتْ خَطيئَتُهُ.
هر که توبه نپذیرد، گناهش بزرگ است.
Whoever does not accept repentance, his sin is great.
حکمت ۶۴۹۷ — گذشت و بخشایشSaying 6497 — Forgiveness And Pardonمِنَ الدّينِ التَّجاوُزُ عَنِ الجُرْمِ.
درگذشتن از جرم، از دین است.
Overlooking [another’s] offence is part of religion.
حکمت ۶۴۹۸ — گذشت و بخشایشSaying 6498 — Forgiveness And Pardonما أحْسَنَ العَفْوَ مَعَ الاِقْتِدارِ.
چه نیکوست گذشت در هنگام توانایی.
How good is forgiveness while having ability [to exact revenge]!
حکمت ۶۴۹۹ — گذشت و بخشایشSaying 6499 — Forgiveness And Pardonما عَفا عَنِ الذَّنْبِ مَنْ قَرَّعَ بِهِ.
آن که بر سر گناهی سرزنش کند، از آن گناه درنگذشته است.
He who scolds [someone] for a sin has not forgiven it.
حکمت ۶۵۰۰ — گذشت و بخشایشSaying 6500 — Forgiveness And Pardonمُعاجَلَةُ الذُّنُوبِ بِالغُفْرانِ مِنْ أخْلاقِ الكِرامِ.
شتاب در بخشیدن گناهان، از اخلاق کریمان است.
Hastening in forgiving the sins [of others] is from the lofty morals of the honourable ones.
