حکمت ۷۱۶۱ — موضوع ۴۳۷ · Age And LifespanSaying 7161 — Age And Lifespanإنَّ المَغْبُونَ مَنْ غَبِنَ عُمْرَهُ، وإنَّ المَغْبُوطَ مَنْ أنْفَذَ عُمْرَهُ في طاعَةِ رَبِّهِ.
همانا فریب‌خورده آن است که عمرش را گم کرده و فریبنده آن است که عمرش را در فرمان‌برداریِ پروردگارش جاری کرده است.
Indeed deceived is the one who is deluded with regards to his life and enviable is one who spends his life in the obedience of his Lord.
حکمت ۷۱۶۲ — موضوع ۴۳۷ · Age And LifespanSaying 7162 — Age And Lifespanاَلعُمْرُ أنْفاسٌ مُعَدَّدَةٌ.
عمر نفس‌هایی شمارش‌شده است.
The lifespan [of a person] is [made up of] a specific number of breaths.
حکمت ۷۱۶۳ — موضوع ۴۳۷ · Age And LifespanSaying 7163 — Age And Lifespanكَيْفَ يُفْرَحُ بِعُمْر تَنْقُصُهُ السّاعاتُ.
چگونه به عمری شاد باشند که ساعت‌ها آن را کم می‌کنند؟!
How can one be pleased with a lifetime that is diminished by [the passing of] hours?!
حکمت ۷۱۶۴ — موضوع ۴۳۷ · Age And LifespanSaying 7164 — Age And Lifespanلَيْسَ شَـيْءٌ أعَزَّ مِنَ الكِبْرِيتِ الأحْمَرِ إلاّ ما بَقِيَ مِنْ عُمْرِ المُؤْمِنِ.
هیچ‌چیز از گوگردِ سرخ گران‌تر نیست، جز آنچه از عمرِ مؤمن باقی است.
There is nothing more valuable than red sulphur, except that which remains from the lifetime of a believer.
حکمت ۷۱۶۵ — موضوع ۴۳۷ · Age And LifespanSaying 7165 — Age And Lifespanمَنْ طالَ عُمْرُهُ كَثُرَتْ مَصائِبُهُ.
هر که عمرش دراز شود، مصایبش بسیار شود.
One whose life is long, his tribulations become many.
حکمت ۷۱۶۶ — موضوع ۴۳۷ · Age And LifespanSaying 7166 — Age And Lifespanمَنْ طالَ عُمْرُهُ فُجِعَ بِأعِزَّتِهِ وأحِبّائِهِ.
هر که عمرش دراز شود، به عزیزان و دوستانش مبتلا شود.
One whose life is long gets afflicted by [the loss of] his dear and beloved ones.
حکمت ۷۱۶۷ — موضوع ۴۳۷ · Age And LifespanSaying 7167 — Age And Lifespanمَنْ أفْنى عُمْرَهُ في غَيْرِ ما يُنْجيهِ فَقَدْ أضاعَ مَطْلَبَهُ.
هر که عمرش را در غیرِ آنچه او را رهایی بخشد صرف کند، خواسته‌اش را ضایع کرده است.
One who spends his life in other than that which will save him [in the Hereafter] has missed his objective.
حکمت ۷۱۶۸ — موضوع ۴۳۷ · Age And LifespanSaying 7168 — Age And Lifespanمَا انْقَضَتْ ساعَةٌ مِنْ دَهْرِكَ إلاّ بِقِطْعَة مِنْ عُمْرِكَ.
هیچ ساعتی از روزگارت نمی‌گذرد مگر به تکه‌ای از عمرت.
An hour of your time does not pass but that it cuts away a portion of your lifespan.
حکمت ۷۱۶۹ — موضوع ۴۳۷ · Age And LifespanSaying 7169 — Age And Lifespanلاتُفْنِ عُمْرَكَ فِي المَلاهي فَتَخْـرُجَ مِنَ الدُّنيا بِلا أمَل.
عمرت را در سرگرمی‌ها هدر مبر، تا از دنیا بی‌امید بیرون آیی.
Do not waste your lifetime in useless pastimes, thereby leaving this world without any hope [in the Hereafter].
حکمت ۷۱۷۰ — موضوع ۴۳۷ · Age And LifespanSaying 7170 — Age And Lifespanلابَقاءَ لِلأعْمارِ مَعَ تَعاقُبِ اللَّيْلِ والنَّهارِ.
با پی‌درپیِ شب و روز، عمرها باقی نمانند.
With the progression of days and nights, nothing remains of the lifetimes.
حکمت ۷۱۷۱ — موضوع ۴۳۷ · Age And LifespanSaying 7171 — Age And Lifespanلايَعْرِفُ قَدْرَ ما بَقِيَ مِنْ عُمْرِهِ إلاّ نَبِيٌّ أوْ صِدّيقٌ.
هیچ‌کس قدرِ آنچه از عمرش باقی است را نمی‌شناسد جز پیامبر یا صِدّیق.
Nobody knows how much longer he has to live except a Prophet or a man of truth.
حکمت ۷۱۷۲ — موضوع ۴۳۷ · Age And LifespanSaying 7172 — Age And Lifespanاَلعُمْرُ تُفْنِيهِ اللَّحَظاتُ.
عمر را لحظه‌ها کم می‌کنند.
Lifetime is diminished by moments.
حکمت ۷۱۷۳ — موضوع ۴۳۷ · Age And LifespanSaying 7173 — Age And Lifespanاِحْفَظْ عُمْرَكَ مِنَ التَّضْييعِ لَهُ في غَيْرِ العِبادَةِ والطّاعاتِ.
عمرت را از ضایع‌شدن در غیرِ عبادت و فرمان‌برداری پاسبان دار.
Guard your lifetime from being wasted in other than acts of worship and obedience [to Allah].
حکمت ۷۱۷۴ — موضوع ۴۳۸ · Development And ProsperitySaying 7174 — Development And Prosperityآفَةُ العُمْرانِ جَوْرُ السُّلْطانِ.
آفتِ آبادانی‌ها، ستمِ فرمانرواست.
The bane of development and prosperity is the oppression of a tyrant.
حکمت ۷۱۷۵ — موضوع ۴۳۹ · Delving DeepSaying 7175 — Delving Deepمَنْ تَعَمَّقَ لَمْ يَنْبُ إلَى الحَقِّ.
هر که در (آگاهی از ذاتِ خدا) بسیار فرو رود، به حق نرسد.
One who delves too deep [in trying to understand the essence of Allah] does not return to the truth.
حکمت ۷۱۷۶ — موضوع ۴۴۰ · Actions And DeedsSaying 7176 — Actions And Deedsاَلْعَمَلُ بِلا عِلْم ضَلالٌ.
عمل بدونِ دانش گمراهی است.
Action without knowledge is misguidance.
حکمت ۷۱۷۷ — موضوع ۴۴۰ · Actions And DeedsSaying 7177 — Actions And Deedsاَلْعَمَلُ الصَّالِحُ أفْضَلُ الزادَيْنِ.
عملِ صالح به‌ترینِ دو توشه است.
Righteous action is the better of the two provisions.
حکمت ۷۱۷۸ — موضوع ۴۴۰ · Actions And DeedsSaying 7178 — Actions And Deedsأعْمالُ العِبادِ فِي الدُّنيا نَصْبُ أعْيُنِهِمْ فِي الآخِرةِ.
اعمالِ بندگان در دنیا، چشم‌پوش (نشاندنِ چشمان) ایشان در آخرت است.
The actions of servants in this world are [brought] before their eyes in the Hereafter.
حکمت ۷۱۷۹ — موضوع ۴۴۰ · Actions And DeedsSaying 7179 — Actions And Deedsألشَّـرَفُ عِنْدَ اللّهِ سُبْحانَهُ بِحُسْنِ الأعْمالِ، لابِحُسْنِ الأقْوالِ.
بزرگی نزدِ خداوند سبحان به نیکوییِ اعمال است، نه به نیکوییِ سخنان.
Honour in the sight of Allah, the Glorified, is through righteous actions, not by beautiful words.
حکمت ۷۱۸۰ — موضوع ۴۴۰ · Actions And DeedsSaying 7180 — Actions And Deedsاَلتَّقْصِيرُ فِي العَمَلِ لِمَنْ وَثِقَ بِالثَّوابِ عَلَيْهِ غَبْنٌ.
کوتاهی در عمل، برای آن کس که به پاداشش اطمینان دارد، گم کردن (فریب) است.
Falling short in action, for the one who is certain of its reward, is foolishness.
