حکمت ۷۲۰۱ — موضوع ۴۴۰ · Actions And DeedsSaying 7201 — Actions And Deedsإيّاكَ وكُلَّ عَمَل يُنَفِّرُ عَنْكَ حُرّاً، أوْ يُذِلُّ لَكَ قَدْراً أوْ يَجْلِبُ عَلَيْكَ شَـرّاً، أوْ تَحْمِلُ بِهِ إلَى القِيامَةِ وِزْراً.
از هر عملی که آزاد را از تو برمی‌گرداند، یا مقامت را خوار می‌کند، یا بر تو بدی می‌آورد، یا با آن در قیامت گناهی بر دوش می‌زنی بپرهیز.
Keep away from every act that repels the freeman from you, or lowers your status, or brings harm upon you, or because of which you have to bear a burden on the Day of Judgment.
حکمت ۷۲۰۲ — موضوع ۴۴۰ · Actions And DeedsSaying 7202 — Actions And Deedsألا عامِلٌ لِنَفْسِهِ قَبْلَ يَوْمِ بُؤْسِهِ.
آیا کسی نیست که پیش از روزِ اندوهش برای جانش عمل کند؟!
Is no one ready to work for his soul before the day of his misery [and adversity]?!
حکمت ۷۲۰۳ — موضوع ۴۴۰ · Actions And DeedsSaying 7203 — Actions And Deedsألا فَاعْمَلُوا والألْسُنُ مُطْلَقَةٌ، والأبْدانُ صَحيحَةٌ، والأعْضاءُ لُدْنَةٌ، وَالمُنْقَلَبُ فَسِيحٌ، والمَجالُ عَريضٌ، قَبْلَ إزْهاقِ الفَوْتِ، وحُلُولِ المَوْتِ، فَحَقِّقُوا عَلَيْكُمْ حُلُولَهُ، ولاتَنْتَظِرُوا قُدُومَهُ.
آگاه باشید و عمل کنید در حالی که زبان‌ها گشوده‌اند و بدن‌ها سالم و اندام‌ها چابک و فرصتِ تغییر باز و میدانِ عمل پهناور است؛ پیش از آنکه فرصت رُفت و مرگ نازل شود؛ پس فرودآمدنِ آن را بر خود قطع و قضا بدانید و منتظرِ رسیدنش نمانید.
Act now, while the tongues are free, the bodies are healthy, the limbs can be flexed, there is room for change and the area of movement is vast; before all this is lost and death comes – so be certain about its coming and do not wait for it to overtake you.
حکمت ۷۲۰۴ — موضوع ۴۴۰ · Actions And DeedsSaying 7204 — Actions And Deedsألا فَاعْمَلُوا عِبادَاللّهِ، والخَناقُ مُهْمَلٌ، والرُّوحُ مُرْسَلٌ في فِينَةِ الإرْشادِ، وراحَةِ الأجسادِ، ومَهَلِ البَقيَّةِ وأُنُفِ المَشِيَّةِ، وإنْظارِ التَّوبَةِ، وَانْفِساحِ الحَوْبَةِ، قَبْلَ الضَّنْكِ والمَضيقِ، والرَّدْعِ، والزُّهُوقِ، قَبْلَ قُدُومِ الغائِبِ المُنْتَظَرِ، وأخْذَةِ العَزيزِ المُقْتَدِرِ.
آگاه باشید ای بندگان خدا و عمل کنید در حالی که یقه آزاد است و روح در فرصتِ هدایت و آسایشِ بدن‌ها و مهلتِ باقیِ عمر و آزادیِ اراده و مهلتِ توبه و فرصتِ جبرانِ گناهان گشوده است؛ پیش از تنگی و سختی و بازداشتن و پرواز (مرگ)، پیش از رویاروییِ غایبِ منتظر (فرشتهٔ مرگ) و چنگِ مقتدرِ عزّت‌مند.
Act now, O servants of Allah, while the neck is free [from the noose] and the spirit is unfettered in the period of guidance, while the bodies are at ease and the rest of your life lies ahead, while you have the free will to act, the opportunity to seek repentance and chance to rectifying your misdeeds. [So act] before you are overtaken by straitened circumstances and distress, fear and weakness, and before the approach of the anticipated hidden one (i.e. the Angel of Death) and the seizing of the Almighty, the Omnipotent.
حکمت ۷۲۰۵ — موضوع ۴۴۰ · Actions And DeedsSaying 7205 — Actions And Deedsألا وإنَّكُمْ في أيَّامِ أمَل مِنْ وَرائِهِ أجَلٌ، فَمَنْ عَمِلَ في أيّامِ أمَلِهِ قَبْلَ حُضُورِ أجَلِهِ، نَفَعَهُ عَمَلُهُ، ولَم يَضْرُرْهُ أجَلُهُ.
آگاه باشید که در روزگاری از امید هستید که پس از آن اجل است؛ پس هر که در روزگارِ امید خود، پیش از حضورِ اجلش عمل کند، عملش سودش کند و اجلش به او زیانی نرساند.
Indeed you are in the days of hope after which is death; so whoever acts in the days of his hope before the coming of his death, his action benefits him and his death does him no harm.
حکمت ۷۲۰۶ — موضوع ۴۴۰ · Actions And DeedsSaying 7206 — Actions And Deedsأيْنَ الَّذينَ أخْلَصُوا أعْمالَهُمْ لِلّهِ، وطَهَّرُوا قُلُوبَهُمْ بِمَواضِعِ ذِكْرِ (نَظَرِ) اللّهِ؟!
کجایند آنان که اعمالشان را برای خدا خالص کردند و دل‌هایشان را با یادِ خدا (نگاهِ خدا) پاک کردند؟!
Where are those who make their actions sincere for Allah and purify their hearts by the remembrance of Allah?!
حکمت ۷۲۰۷ — موضوع ۴۴۰ · Actions And DeedsSaying 7207 — Actions And Deedsأشْرَفُ الأعْمالِ اَلطّاعَةُ.
ارجمندترینِ اعمال، فرمان‌برداری است.
The most honourable action is obedience [to Allah].
حکمت ۷۲۰۸ — موضوع ۴۴۰ · Actions And DeedsSaying 7208 — Actions And Deedsأفْضَلُ العَمَلِ ما أُخْلِصَ فيهِ.
به‌ترینِ عمل آن است که در آن خالص‌سازی شود.
The best action is that which is done with sincerity.
حکمت ۷۲۰۹ — موضوع ۴۴۰ · Actions And DeedsSaying 7209 — Actions And Deedsأفْضَلُ العَمَلِ ما أُرِيْدَ بِهِ وَجْهُ اللّهِ.
به‌ترینِ عمل آن است که در آن رضای خدا خواسته شود.
The best action is that by which the pleasure of Allah is sought.
حکمت ۷۲۱۰ — موضوع ۴۴۰ · Actions And DeedsSaying 7210 — Actions And Deedsأنْفَعُ الذَّخائِرِ صالِحُ الأعْمالِ.
سودمندترینِ توشه‌ها، عملِ صالح است.
The most beneficial provision [for the hereafter] is good deeds.
حکمت ۷۲۱۱ — موضوع ۴۴۰ · Actions And DeedsSaying 7211 — Actions And Deedsأقْرَبُ النّاسِ مِنَ الأنْبِياءِ أعْمَلُهُمْ بِما أمَرُوا بِهِ.
نزدیک‌ترینِ مردم به پیامبران، عمل‌کننده‌ترین‌شان به آنچه فرمان داده‌اند.
The closest people to the Prophets are those who act upon their commandments [and teachings] the most.
حکمت ۷۲۱۲ — موضوع ۴۴۰ · Actions And DeedsSaying 7212 — Actions And Deedsأحْسَنْ الفِعْلِ الكَفُّ عَنِ القَبِيحِ.
نیکوترینِ کار، بازداشتنِ خود از زشتی است.
The best of actions is restraining oneself from evil.
حکمت ۷۲۱۳ — موضوع ۴۴۰ · Actions And DeedsSaying 7213 — Actions And Deedsأصْدَقُ المَقالِ ما نَطَقَ بِهِ لِسانُ الحالِ.
راست‌ترینِ سخن آن است که زبانِ حال به آن برآید.
The most truthful of utterances is that which is spoken with the tongue of action.
حکمت ۷۲۱۴ — موضوع ۴۴۰ · Actions And DeedsSaying 7214 — Actions And Deedsأحْسَنُ المَقالِ ما صَدَّقَهُ حُسْنُ الفِعالِ.
نیکوترینِ سخن آن است که نیکوییِ کار آن را راست گرداند.
The best of speech is that which is affirmed by good actions.
حکمت ۷۲۱۵ — موضوع ۴۴۰ · Actions And DeedsSaying 7215 — Actions And Deedsأفْضَلُ الأعمالِ لُزُومُ الحَقِّ.
به‌ترینِ اعمال، پایبندی به حق است.
The best of actions is espousing the truth.
حکمت ۷۲۱۶ — موضوع ۴۴۰ · Actions And DeedsSaying 7216 — Actions And Deedsأحْسَنُ الأفْعالِ ما وافَقَ الحَقَّ، وأفْضَلُ المَقالِ ما طابَقَ الصِّدْقَ.
نیکوترینِ اعمال آن است که با حق هم‌خوان باشد و نیکوترینِ سخنان آن است که با راستی هم‌خوانی کند.
The best of actions is that which corresponds to the truth, and the best speech is that which matches with the facts.
حکمت ۷۲۱۷ — موضوع ۴۴۰ · Actions And DeedsSaying 7217 — Actions And Deedsاَلْعَمَلُ عُنْوانُ الطَّوِيَّةِ.
عمل، نشانهٔ طویّ (درونی) است.
Action is the symbol [and an indication] of one’s interior.
حکمت ۷۲۱۸ — موضوع ۴۴۰ · Actions And DeedsSaying 7218 — Actions And Deedsاَلْعَمَلُ شِعارُ المُؤْمِنِ.
عملِ صالح نشانهٔ مؤمن است.
Good action is the mark [and distinguishing quality] of the believer.
حکمت ۷۲۱۹ — موضوع ۴۴۰ · Actions And DeedsSaying 7219 — Actions And Deedsاَلْعَمَلُ أكْمَلُ خَلَف.
عملِ صالح کامل‌ترینِ وصیّت (ارث) است.
Good action is the most perfect legacy.
حکمت ۷۲۲۰ — موضوع ۴۴۰ · Actions And DeedsSaying 7220 — Actions And Deedsاَلْعَمَلُ (اَلوَرَعُ عَمَلٌ راجِحٌ) وَرَعٌ راجِحٌ.
عمل، پرهیزگاریِ برتر است.
Good action is the superior [form of] piety (or piety is the most preferred action).
