جَميلُ الفِعْلِ يُنْبِئُ عَنْ طيبِ الأصْلِ.
کردارِ زیبا از نیکوییِ اصل خبر دهد.
Beautiful action declares the goodness of the source.
جََعَلَ اللّهُ لِكُلِّ عَمَل ثَواباً، ولِكُلِّ شَـيْء حِساباً، ولِكُلِّ أجَل كِتاباً.
خداوند برای هر عملی پاداشی و برای هر چیزی حسابی و برای هر اجلی کتابی قرار داده است.
Allah has kept for every [good] deed a reward, for everything a reckoning and for every term a written appointment.
حُسْنُ العَمَلِ خَيْرُ ذُخْر، وأفْضَلُ عُدَّة.
نیکوییِ عمل، نیکوترینِ توشه و برترینِ سازوبرگ است.
Virtuous action is the best provision and the greatest asset.
حُسْنُ الأفْعالِ مِصْداقُ حُسْنِ الأقْوالِ.
نیکوییِ اعمال، راست‌گویِ نیکوییِ سخنان است.
Good action is the substantiation of good words.
خَيْـرُ أعْمالِكَ ما قَضى فَرْضَكَ.
به‌ترینِ کارهای تو آن است که واجب را ادا کند.
The best of your deeds are those that fulfil your duty.
خَيْـرُ الأعْمالِ مَا اكْتَسَبَ شُكْراً.
به‌ترینِ اعمال آن است که سپاس (شکرگزاری) بیاورد.
The best of actions is that which earns gratitude.
خَيْـرُ الأعْمالِ ما أصْلَحَ الدّينَ.
به‌ترینِ اعمال آن است که دین را اصلاح کند.
The best of actions is that which rectifies the faith.
خَيْـرُ العَمَلِ ما صَحِبَهُ الإخْلاصُ.
به‌ترینِ عمل آن است که با اخلاص همراهی کند.
The best deed is that which is accompanied by sincerity.
خَيْـرُ الأعْمالِ ما زانَهُ الرِّفْقُ.
به‌ترینِ اعمال آن است که نرمی آن را آراسته باشد.
The best of deeds is that which is adorned by kindness.
خَيْـرُ الأعْمالِ ما قَضى اللَّوازِمَ.
به‌ترینِ اعمال آن است که ضروری‌ها را ادا کند.
The best of actions is that which fulfils the requirements.
خَيْـرُ عَمَلِكَ ما أصْلَحْتَ بِهِ يَوْمَكَ، وشَـرُّهُ ما أفْسَدْتَ (اِسْتَفْسَدْتَ) بِهِ قَوْمَكَ.
به‌ترینِ کارِ تو آن است که روزت را اصلاح کند و بدترینِ آن آن است که مردمت را تباه کند.
Your best action is that by which you improve your day [of reckoning] and the worst [of your actions] is that by which you corrupt your community.
خَيْـرُ الأعْمالِ اِعْتِدالُ الرَّجاءِ والخَوْفِ.
به‌ترینِ اعمال، میانه‌روی میانِ امید و بیم است.
The best action is maintaining a balance between hope and fear.
رَحِمَ اللّهُ امْرَءاً بادَرَ الأجَلَ، وأْحْسَنَ العَمَلَ لِدارِ إقامَتِهِ ومَحَلِّ كَرامَتِهِ.
خداوند بر آن کس که جلوتر از اجل حرکت کند و برای خانهٔ اقامتش و جایگاهِ کرامتش نیکو عمل کند رحمت کند.
May Allah have mercy upon the person who anticipates death and performs good deeds for the abode of his [permanent] residence and the place of his dignity.
رُبَّ عَمَل أفْسَدَتْهُ النِّيَّةُ.
بسیار عملی که نیتش آن را تباه کند.
Many an action is corrupted by the intention.
رُبَّ صَغير مِنْ عَمَلِكَ تَسْتَكْبِرُهُ.
بسیار کار کوچکی از کارهای تو که آن را بزرگ می‌شمار.
Many a small action [that you do] is considered by you as being great.
زيادَةُ الفِعْلِ عَلَى القَوْلِ أحْسَنُ فَضيلَة، ونَقْصُ الفِعْلِ عَنِ القَوْلِ أقْبَحُ رَذيلَة.
افزون‌سازیِ کردار بر سخن، نیکوترینِ فضیلت و کاستنِ کردار از سخن، زشت‌ترینِ رذیلت است.
Supplementing words with action is the best virtue and the abstraction of action from words is the ugliest vice.
سُوءُ الفِعْلِ دَليلُ لُؤْمِ الأصْلِ.
کردارِ زشت، دلیلِ پستیِ اصل است.
Evil action is evidence of a vile origin.
شَـرُّ الأفْعالِ ما جَلَبَ الآثامَ.
بدترینِ اعمال آن است که گناهان را بیاورد.
The worst action is that which results in sins.
شَـرُّ الأفْعالِ ما هَدَمَ الصَّنِيعَةَ.
بدترینِ اعمال آن است که نیکوییِ (نیکیِ) انجام‌شده را ویران کند.
The worst action is that which destroys the good turn [that is done to others].
