أعْلَى الأعْمالِ إخْلاصُ الإيمانِ، وصِدْقُ الوَرَعِ وَالإيقانِ.
بلندترینِ اعمال، خالص‌کردنِ ایمان و راستیِ پرهیزگاری و یقین است.
The loftiest of actions is making [your] faith sincere and [having] true piety and certitude.

إنَّ المُؤْمِنَ يُرى يَقينُهُ في عَمَلِهِ، وإنَّ المُنافِقَ يُرى شَكُّهُ في عَمَلِهِ.
همانا یقینِ مؤمن در عملش دیده شود و شکِ منافق در عملش.
Verily the certitude of a believer is seen in his action, and the doubt of a hypocrite is seen in his action.
لايَنْفَعُ العَمَلُ لِلآخِرَةِ مَعَ الرَّغْبَةِ فيِ الدُّنيا.
عمل برای آخرت با آرزویِ دنیا سودمند نیست.
Working for the Hereafter with desire for this world has no benefit.
اَلأعْمالُ بِالخُبْرَةِ.
اعمال با مهارت (تجربه) به انجام رسند.
Actions are [carried out] through know-how.
اَلأعْمالُ ثِمارُ النِّيّاتِ.
اعمال، میوه‌هایِ نیت‌ها‌اند.
Deeds are the fruits of intentions.
لاتُعامِلْ مَنْ لا تَقْدِرُ عَلَى الاِنْتِصافِ مِنْهُ.
با آن کس که توانِ انصاف‌جویی از او را نداری معامله مکن.
Do not make any dealings with one from whom you have no power to demand justice.
أشَدُّ النّاسِ عَمىً: مَنْ عَمِيَ عَنْ حُبِّنا وفَضْلِنا، وَناصَبَنا العَداوَةَ بِلا ذَنْب سَبَقَ مِنّا إلَيْهِ إلاّ أنّا دَعَوْناهُ إلَى الحَقِّ، ودَعاهُ سَوانا إلَى الفِتْنَةِ والدُّنيا، فَ آثَرُوها، ونَصَبُوا العَداوَةَ لَنا.
کورترینِ مردم آن است که به دوستیِ ما و فضیلتِ ما کور شود و بی‌گناهی از پیشِ ما به سوی او، دشمنی را با ما پیشه کند؛ جز آنکه ما او را به حق فراخواندیم و غیرِ ما او را به فتنه و دنیا، پس آن را بر ما ترجیح داد و دشمنی را با ما پیشه کرد.
The blindest of people is one who is blind to our love and our excellence, and one who has hatred for us without any wrongdoing on our part towards him, except that we invited him to the truth while others invited him to temptation and [the pleasures of] this world, so they preferred it and displayed hatred towards us.
رُبَّما أصابَ العَمِيُّ (الأعْمى) قَصْدَهُ.
گاه کور به مقصودش رسد.
Sometimes the blind one arrives at his goal.
مَنْ عَمِيَ عَمّا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ غَرَسَ الشَّكَّ بَيْنَ جَنْبَيْهِ.
هر که به آنچه پیش رویش است کور شود، شک را میانِ پهلوهای خود بیافکند.
One who is blind to that which is in front of him instils doubt within himself.
رِضى المُتَعَنِّتِ غايَةٌ لاتُدْرَكُ.
خشنودیِ مغرور (معتنن) غایتی است که به دست نمی‌آید.
Pleasing the obstinate one is a goal that cannot be attained.
مَنْ خَبُثَ عُنْصُرُهُ ساءَ مَحْضَرُهُ.
هر که خویشتنش پلید بود، حضورش زشت گردد.
ne whose lineage is wicked, his presence [in any gathering] is bad.
مَنْ كَرُمَ مَحْتِدُهُ حَسُنَ مَشْهَدُهُ.
هر که نسلش بزرگوار بود، نشان (حضور)ش نیکو گردد.
One whose lineage is honourable, his presence is good.
مِنْ شَرَفِ الأعْراقِ كَرَمُ الأخْلاقِ.
از بزرگیِ نسل‌ها، بزرگواریِ اخلاق است.
Good manners are from the [signs of] honourable descent.
رَأسُ السُّخْفِ العُنْفُ.
اوجِ ابلهی، خشونت است.
The height of folly is violence.
راكِبُ العُنْفِ يَتَعَذَّرُ مَطْلَبُهُ.
سوارِ خشونت، خواسته‌اش دشوار گردد.
Whoever acts violently, his goal becomes difficult [to achieve].
مَنْ رَكِبَ العُنْفَ نَدِمَ.
هر که خشونت پیشه کند، پشیمان شود.
One who acts violently, regrets.
مَنْ عامَلَ بِالعُنْفِ نَدِمَ.
هر که با خشونت رفتار کند، پشیمان شود.
One who perpetrates violence, regrets.
وُقُوعُكَ فيما لايَعنيكَ جَهْلٌ مُضِلٌّ.
افتادنِ تو در آنچه به تو کاری ندارد، نادانیِ گمراه‌کننده است.
Your getting involved in that which is of no concern to you is misguided ignorance.
لاتَشْتَغِلْ بِما لايَعْنيكَ، ولاتتَكَلَّفْ فَوْقَ ما يَكْفِيكَ، واجْعَلْ كُلَّ هَمِّكَ لِما يُنْجيكَ.
در آنچه به تو کاری ندارد مشغول مشو و بیش از آنچه بس است کوشش مکن و همهٔ اندوشت را به آنچه تو را رهایی بخشد بسپار.
Do not busy yourself with that which is of no concern to you, and do not take upon yourself more than what is enough for you, and exert all your efforts for that which will save you.
دَعْ ما لايَعْنيكَ، واشْتَغِلْ بِمُهِمِّكَ الَّذي يُنْجيكَ.
آنچه به تو کاری ندارد واگذار و به مهمِ خود که تو را رهایی بخشد مشغول شو.
Leave aside that which does not concern you and busy yourself with the important work that will save you [in the Hereafter].
