حکمت ۷۹۴۱ — موضوع ۴۹۸ · The Obligatory And Recommended ActsSaying 7941 — The Obligatory And Recommended Actsإنَّكَ إنِ اشْتَغَلْتَ بِفَضائِلِ النَّوافِلِ عَنْ أداءِ الفَرائِضِ فَلَنْ يَقُومَ فَضْلٌ تَكْسِبُهُ بِفَرْض تُضَيِّعُهُ.
همانا اگر خود را به فضایلِ مستحب‌ها به جای اداکردنِ واجبات مشغول کنی، فضلی که به دست می‌آوری به جایِ واجبی که ضایع می‌کنی نمی‌ایستد.
Verily if you were to occupy yourself with meritorious supererogatory acts instead of fulfilling the obligatory ones, then the merit you acquire will never make up for the religious obligation that you have neglected.
حکمت ۷۹۴۲ — موضوع ۴۹۸ · The Obligatory And Recommended ActsSaying 7942 — The Obligatory And Recommended Actsإذا أضَرَّتِ النَّوافِلُ بِالفَرائِضِ فَارْفُضُوها.
چون مستحب‌ها به واجبات زیان رساند، آن‌ها را واگذار کنید.
When recommended acts come in the way of obligatory actions, then abandon them.
حکمت ۷۹۴۳ — موضوع ۴۹۸ · The Obligatory And Recommended ActsSaying 7943 — The Obligatory And Recommended Actsعَلَيْكَ بِحِفْظِ كُلِّ أمْر لاتُعْذَرُ بِإضاعَتِهِ.
بر پاس‌داشتِ هر کاری باش که به ضایع‌کردنش عذر نباشد.
It is upon you to preserve every matter that you cannot be excused for neglecting.
حکمت ۷۹۴۴ — موضوع ۴۹۸ · The Obligatory And Recommended ActsSaying 7944 — The Obligatory And Recommended Actsقَضاءُ اللَّوازِمِ مِنْ أفْضَلِ المَكارِمِ.
اداکردنِ ضروری‌ها از برترینِ بزرگواری‌هاست.
Fulfilling the obligatory is from the most noble of actions.
حکمت ۷۹۴۵ — موضوع ۴۹۸ · The Obligatory And Recommended ActsSaying 7945 — The Obligatory And Recommended Actsلاعِبادَةَ كَأداءِ الفَرائِضِ.
هیچ عبادتی چون اداکردنِ واجبات نیست.
There is no worship like the performing of obligatory acts.
حکمت ۷۹۴۶ — موضوع ۴۹۸ · The Obligatory And Recommended ActsSaying 7946 — The Obligatory And Recommended Actsلاقُرْبَةَ بِالنَّوافِلِ إذا أضَرَّتْ بِالفَرائِضِ.
با مستحب‌هایی که به واجبات زیان رساند، نزدیک‌شدنی نیست.
No closeness is achieved through recommended actions if they hamper the obligatory actions.
حکمت ۷۹۴۷ — موضوع ۴۹۸ · The Obligatory And Recommended ActsSaying 7947 — The Obligatory And Recommended Actsلاتَقْضِ نافِلَةً في وَقْتِ فَريضَة، إبْدَأْ بِالفَريضَةِ ثُمَّ صَلِّ ما بَدا لَكَ.
در وقتِ واجبی مستحب نخوان (انجام مده)؛ واجب را آغاز کن، سپس هر چه بخواهی بنما.
Do not perform a recommended act at the time of an obligatory one; start with the obligatory [prayer] and then pray whatever more you wish to.
حکمت ۷۹۴۸ — موضوع ۴۹۹ · NeglectSaying 7948 — Neglectاِحْذَرُوا التَّفْريطَ فَإنَّهُ يُوجِبُ المَلامَةَ.
از کوتاهی (تفریط) بپرهیزید، که همانا سرزنش را در پی دارد.
Be wary of neglect for verily it causes censure.
حکمت ۷۹۴۹ — موضوع ۴۹۹ · NeglectSaying 7949 — Neglectاَلتَفْريطُ مُصيبَةُ القادِرِ.
کوتاهی، مصیبتِ توانمند است.
Neglect is an affliction of the capable.
حکمت ۷۹۵۰ — موضوع ۴۹۹ · NeglectSaying 7950 — Neglectثَمَرَةُ التَّفْريطِ مَلامَةٌ.
میوهٔ کوتاهی، سرزنش است.
The fruit of neglect is censure.
حکمت ۷۹۵۱ — موضوع ۴۹۹ · NeglectSaying 7951 — Neglectضادُّوا التفْريطَ بِالحَزْمِ.
با تدبیر (حزم)، کوتاهی را به ضدّ خود برگردانید.
Counter neglect with judiciousness [and resoluteness].
حکمت ۷۹۵۲ — موضوع ۵۰۰ · IdlenessSaying 7952 — Idlenessمِنَ الفَراغِ تَكُونُ الصَّبْوَةُ.
از بیهودگی، شیفتگی به (هواهای) نفس پدید آید.
From idleness comes inclination towards [vain] desire.
حکمت ۷۹۵۳ — موضوع ۵۰۰ · IdlenessSaying 7953 — Idlenessمَعَ الفَراغِ تَكُونُ الصَّبْوَةُ.
با بیهودگی، شیفتگی به (هواهای) نفس هست.
With idleness there is inclination towards [vain] desire.
حکمت ۷۹۵۴ — موضوع ۵۰۱ · Separation And IsolationSaying 7954 — Separation And Isolationإيّاكَ والفُرْقَةَ، فَإنَّ الشّاذَّ مِنَ النّاسِ لِلشَّيْطانِ.
از پراکندگی (جدایی از جمع) بپرهیز، که همانا جداشده از مردم برای شیطان است.
Beware of separation [from the people], for indeed the one who is isolated from the people is [a target] for Satan.
حکمت ۷۹۵۵ — موضوع ۵۰۱ · Separation And IsolationSaying 7955 — Separation And Isolationإيّاكُمْ والفُرْقَةَ، فَإنَّ الشّاذَّ عَنْ أهْلِ الحَقِّ لِلشَّيْطانِ، كَما أنَّ الشّاذَّ مِنَ الغَنَمِ لِلذِّئْبِ.
از پراکندگی بپرهیزید، که همانا جداشده از اهلِ حق برای شیطان است، همان‌گونه که گوسفندِ تنها برای گرگ است.
Beware of separation, for indeed the one who is isolated from the people of truth is [prey] for Satan just as the lonely sheep is [prey] for the wolf.
حکمت ۷۹۵۶ — موضوع ۵۰۱ · Separation And IsolationSaying 7956 — Separation And Isolationبِئْسَ السَّعْيُ اَلتَّفْرِقَةُ بَيْنَ الأليفَيْنِ.
چه بد کوششی جداسازیِ دو آشناست.
The worst endeavour is separating two close friends.
حکمت ۷۹۵۷ — موضوع ۵۰۱ · Separation And IsolationSaying 7957 — Separation And Isolationلِكُلِّ جَمْع فُرْقَةٌ.
برای هر گردآمدنی، جدایی‌ای هست.
For every gathering there is separation.
حکمت ۷۹۵۸ — موضوع ۵۰۱ · Separation And IsolationSaying 7958 — Separation And Isolationاِلْـزَمُوا الجَماعَةَ، واجْتَنِبُوا الفُرْقَةَ.
به جماعت پایبند باشید و از پراکندگی بپرهیزید.
Remain with the community and eschew separation.
حکمت ۷۹۵۹ — موضوع ۵۰۲ · Fabrication Of LiesSaying 7959 — Fabrication Of Liesهَلَكَ مَنِ ادَّعى، وخابَ مَنِ افْتَرى.
هر که ادعا (باطل) کرد هلاک و هر که دروغ ساخت خدکار شد.
Destroyed is the one who makes a [wrongful] claim, and unsuccessful is the one who fabricates [a lie].
حکمت ۷۹۶۰ — موضوع ۵۰۳ · CorruptionSaying 7960 — Corruptionمَنْ سَرَّهُ الفَسادُ ساءَهُ المَعادُ.
هر که فساد را پسندید، بازگشتش (آخرتش) زشت شود.
One who is pleased by corruption is displeased by the Hereafter.
