لايَنْفَعُ الإيمانُ بِغَيرِ تَقْوى.
ایمان بی‌تقوا سودی نبخشد.

حکمت ۸۴۱ تا ۸۶۰Sayings 841 to 860
لايَكْمُلُ إيمانُ عَبْد حتّى يُحِبَّ مَنْ أحَبَّهُ اللّهُ سُبْحانَهُ، ويُبْغِضَ مَنْ أبْغَضَهُ اللّهُ سُبْحانَهُ.
ایمان بنده کامل نشود تا آن را که خدای سبحان دوست دارد دوست بدارد و آن را که خدای سبحان دشمن می‌دارد، دشمن بدارد.
A servant’s faith is not complete until he loves whom Allah, the Glorified, loves and hates the one whom Allah, the Glorified, hates.
لا يَصْدُقُ إيمانُ عَبْد حَتّى يَكُونَ بِما في يَدِ اللّهِ سُبْحانَهُ أوْثَقَ مِنْهُ بِما في يَدهِ.
ایمان بنده راست نشود تا به آنچه نزد خدای سبحان است، از آنچه نزد خود اوست، دلگرم‌تر باشد.
The faith of a servant is not true until he is more confident of what is in the Hand of Allah, the Glorified, than what is in his own hand.
لاشَْيءَ يَدَّخِرُهُ الإنْسانُ كَالإيمانِ بِاللّهِ وصَنايعِ الإحْسانِ.
هیچ اندوخته‌ای برای انسان، چون ایمان به خدا و نیکی‌ها نیست.
Nothing that is preserved by human beings is like faith in Allah and good deeds.
يُسْتَدَلُّ عَلى إيمانِ الرَّجُلِ بِالتَّسْليمِ ولُزومِ الطَّاعَةِ.
ایمانِ مرد به تسلیم و پایبندیِ او به طاعت شناخته شود.
The faith of a man is deduced by his submission and obedience [to Allah].
يُسْتَدَلُّ عَلَى الإيمانِ بِكَثْرَةِ التُّقى، ومِلْكِ الشَّهْوَةِ، وغَلَبَةِ الهَوى.
ایمان به فراوانی تقوا و مهار شهوت و چیرگی بر هوای نفس شناخته شود.
The faith [of a person] is deduced by increased fear [of Allah], controlling lust and overcoming lowly desires.
يَحتاجُ الإيمانُ إلَى الإيقانِ.
ایمان به یقین نیازمند است.
Faith requires certitude.
يَحتاجُ الإيمانُ إلىَ الإخلاصِ.
ایمان به اخلاص نیازمند است.
Faith requires sincerity.
مَنْ صَدَّقَ اللّهَ سُبْحانَهُ نَجى.
هر که خدا را راست شمارد، رستگار شود.
One who believes in Allah [and attests to His oneness] is saved.
أصْلُ الإيمانِ حُسْنُ التَّسْليمِ لأمرِ اللّهِ.
ریشه ایمان، نیکو تسلیمِ فرمانِ خدا بودن است.
The foundation of faith is total submission to the will of Allah.
آمِنْ تَأمَنْ.
ایمان بیاور تا در امان باشی.
Have faith and you will be safe.
اَلمُؤْمِنُ صَدُوقُ اللِّسانِ، بَذُولُ الإحسانِ.
مؤمن راستگوست و نیکی‌بخش.
A believer is very truthful in [his] speech and generous in [his] benevolence.
اَلمُؤْمِِنُ يَقْظانٌ يَنْتَظِرُ إحْدَى الحَسَنَتَينِ.
مؤمن بیدار است و در انتظار یکی از دو نیکی [شهادت یا پیروزی].
A believer is [always] alert, waiting for one of the two boons [of this world or the Hereafter].
اَلمُؤْمِنُ عَفِيفٌ، مُقْتَنِعٌ، مُتَنَزِّهٌ، مُتَوَرِِّعٌ.
مؤمن پاکدامن است و قانع و منزّه و پرهیزکار.
A believer is chaste, contented, free from sin and pious.
اَلمُؤْمِنُ مَنْ كانَ حُبُّهلِلّهِ، وبُغْضُهلِلّهِ، وأخذُهلِلّهِ، وتَرْكُهُ لِلّهِ.
مؤمن آن است که دوستی و دشمنی و گرفتن و ترکش همه برای خدا باشد.
A believer is one whose love is for [the sake of] Allah, whose hate is for Allah, whose taking is for Allah and whose leaving is for Allah.
اَلمُؤْمِنُ شاكِرٌ فيِ السَّـرّاءِ، صابِرٌ فِي البَلاءِ، خائفٌ فِي الرَّخاءِ.
مؤمن در خوشی سپاسگزار است و در بلا شکیبا و در آسایش بیمناک.
A believer is thankful in [times of] comfort, patient in tribulation and fearful in affluence.
اَلمُؤْمِنُ عَفيفٌ فِي الغِنى، مُتَنَزَّهٌ عَنِ الدُّنيا.
مؤمن در توانگری پاکدامن است و از دنیا منزّه.
A believer is moderate in [times of] affluence, [and] keeps away from the [pleasures of this] world.
اَلمُؤْمِنُ بَيْنَ نِعْمَة وخَطيئَة لا يُصلِحُهُما إلاّ الشُّكرُ وَالإسْتِغْفارُ.
مؤمن میان نعمتی است و گناهی که آن دو را جز سپاس و آمرزشخواهی اصلاح نکند.
A believer is [always] between blessing and wrongdoing, [and] nothing reforms these two except thankfulness and repentance.
اَلمُؤْمِِنُ عِزٌّ كَريمٌ، مَأمُونٌ على نَفْسِهِ، حَذِرٌ مَحْزُونٌ.
مؤمن عزتی گرامی است، بر خود ایمن و بیمناک و اندوهگین.
A believer is dignified, honourable, self-reliant, cautious and sorrowful.
المُؤْمِنُ دائِمُ الذِّكرِ، كَثيرُ الفِكرِ، عَلَى النَّعماءِ شاكِرٌ، وَفِي البَلاءِ صابِرٌ.
مؤمن پیوسته در یاد خداست و بسیار در اندیشه؛ بر نعمت‌ها سپاسگزار و در بلاها شکیباست.
A believer constantly remembers [Allah], frequently contemplates, is thankful for blessings and patient in the face of tribulation.
