إنَّ بِشْرَ المُؤمِنِ في وَجْهِهِ، وقُوَّتَهُ في دينِهِ، وحُزْنَهُ في قَلْبِهِ.
گشاده‌روییِ مؤمن در چهره‌اش است و نیرویش در دینش و اندوهش در دلش.
Indeed the cheerfulness of a believer is in his face, his strength is in his religion and his sorrow is in his heart.
إنَّ المُؤْمِنَ لَيَسْتَحْيي إذا مَضى لَهُ عَمَلٌ في غَيرِ ما عُقِدَ عَلَيْهِ ايمانُهُ.
مؤمن شرم کند اگر عملی از او سر زند برخلاف آنچه ایمانش بر آن بسته شده است.
Verily a believer feels ashamed if an act which goes against his faith is committed by him.
غايَةُ المُؤْمِنِ الجَنَّةُ.
غایت مؤمن بهشت است.
The goal of a believer is Paradise.
غِنَى المُؤمِنِ بِاللّهِ سُبْحانَهُ.
بی‌نیازیِ مؤمن به خدای سبحان است.
The needlessness of a believer is through [his reliance on] Allah, the Glorified.
قَدْ أحْيا عَقْلَهُ، وأماتَ شَهْوَتَهُ، وأطاعَ رَبَّهُ وعَصى نَفْسَهُ.
خِرَدش را زنده داشته و شهوتش را میرانده و پروردگارش را فرمان برده و نفسش را نافرمانی کرده است.
He (the believer) has enlivened his intellect, killed his lust, obeyed his Lord and disobeyed his lower-self.
كَمْ مِنْ مُؤمِن فازَ بِهِ الصَّبْرُ، وحُسْنُ الظَّنِّ.
چه بسیار مؤمنی که صبر و نیک‌گمانی فیروزش گرداند!
How many a believer has succeeded through patience and thinking positively.
كُنْ مُؤمِناً، تَقِيّاً، مُتَقَنِّعاً، عَفيفاً.
مؤمن باش، پرهیزکار، قانع و پاکدامن.
Be a pious, contented and modest believer.
لِلْمُؤْمِنِ عَقْلٌ وَفِىٌّ، وحِلْمٌ مَرْضِيٌّ، ورَغْبَةٌ فِي الحَسَناتِ، وفِرارٌ مِنَ السَّيِّئاتِ.
مؤمن را خِرَدی وفادار است و بردباری‌ای پسندیده و رغبتی در حسنات و گریزی از سیئات.
A believer has a perfect intellect, a pleasing leniency, an inclination towards good deeds and an aversion towards bad deeds.
لِلْمُؤْمِنِ ثلاثُ ساعات، ساعَةٌ يُناجي فيها رَبَّهُ، وساعَةٌ يُحاسِبُ فيها نَفْسَهُ، (وساعَةٌ يَرُمُّ فيها مَعاشَهُ) وساعَةٌ يُخَلّي بَينَ نَفْسِهِ ولَذَّتِها فيما يَحِلُّ ويَجْمُلُ.
مؤمن را سه ساعت است: ساعتی که با پروردگارش راز گوید و ساعتی که با خود حساب کشد [و ساعتی که معاشش را سامان دهد] و ساعتی که نفسش را در حلال و شایسته با لذتش واگذارد.
A believer has three times: a time for whispering to his Lord, a time for assessing himself (or in another narration: a time for making arrangements for his livelihood) and a time when he freely enjoys himself with what is lawful and pleasant.
لايَكْمُلُ إيمانُ المُؤْمِنِ حَتّى يَعُدَّ الرَّخاءَ فِتْنَةً، والبَلاءَ نِعْمَةً.
ایمان مؤمن کامل نشود تا خوشی را فتنه شمارَد و بلا را نعمت.
The faith of a believer is not perfected until he deems comfort to be a trial and affliction to be a blessing.
لايُلْفَى المُؤمِنُ حَسُوداً، ولاحَقُوداً، ولابَخيلاً.
مؤمن حسود و کینه‌توز و بخیل یافت نشود.
A believer is never found to be envious, malevolent or miserly.
لايَكونُ المُؤْمِنُ إلاَّ حَليماً، رَحيماً.
مؤمن جز بردبار و مهربان نباشد.
A believer is never anything other than forbearing and merciful.
يَنْبَغي لِلْمُؤْمِنِ أنْ يَسْتَحييَ إذَا اتَّصَلَتْ لَهُ فِكْرَةٌ في غَيرِ طاعَة.
مؤمن را سزد که شرم کند هرگاه اندیشه‌اش پیوسته در غیر طاعت باشد.
It behoves a believer to feel ashamed if the thought of disobedience crosses his mind.
يَنْبَغي لِلْمُؤْمِنِ أنْ يَلْزَمَ الطَّاعَةَ، ويَلْتَحِفَ الوَرَعَ والقَناعَةَ.
مؤمن را سزد که طاعت را ملازم شود و جامهٔ پارسایی و قناعت پوشد.
It behoves a believer to remain obedient and to cover himself with piety and contentment.
يُمْتَحَنُ المُؤْمِنُ بِالبَلاءِ، كَما يُمْتَحَنُ بِالنّارِ اَلخِلاصُ.
مؤمن به بلا آزموده شود، چنان‌که [طلا] به آتش آزموده شود.
A believer is tested with affliction just like the purity of gold and silver is tested with fire.
لِلْمُؤْمِنِ ثَلاثُ عَلامات: الصِّدْقُ، واليَقينُ، وقَصْرُ الأمَلِ.
مؤمن را سه نشانه است: راستی، یقین و کوتاه‌کردن آرزو.
There are three signs of a believer: truthfulness, certitude and [having] short hopes.
لَنْ يُلْقَى المُؤْمِنُ إلاّ قانِعاً.
مؤمن را جز قانع نیابند.
A believer is never found to be anything but content.
لَو ضَرَبْتُ خَيْشُومَ المُؤْمِنِ على أنْ يُبْغِضَني ما أبْغَضَني، وَلَو صَبَبْتُ الدُّنيا بِجُمْلَتِها عَلَى المُنافِقِ على أنْ يُحِبَّني ما أحَبَّني.
اگر بینیِ مؤمن را بزنم تا دشمنم دارد، دشمنم ندارد؛ و اگر همهٔ دنیا را بر منافق ریزم تا دوستم دارد، دوستم ندارد.
If I were to strike the nose of a believer to make him hate me he would still not hate me, and if I were to bestow the whole world to a hypocrite to make him love me he would still not love me.
مَنْ آمَنَ أمِنَ.
هر که ایمان آوَرَد، ایمن شود.
One who believes is safe.
