حکمت ۸۷۴۱ — موضوع ۵۶۴ · The Noble -Minded And MunificentSaying 8741 — The Noble -Minded And Munificentاَلْكَريمُ عِنْدَ اللّهِ مَحْبُورٌ مُثابٌ، وعِنْدَ النّاسِ مَحْبُوبٌ مُهابٌ.
بزرگوار، نزدِ خداوند خوشبخت و پاداش‌مند، و نزدِ مردم دوست‌داشتنی و ترس‌مونه است.
The noble-minded person is felicitous and worthy of reward in the sight of Allah, and is loved and venerated in the sight of the people.
حکمت ۸۷۴۲ — موضوع ۵۶۴ · The Noble -Minded And MunificentSaying 8742 — The Noble -Minded And Munificentاَلْكَريمُ مَنْ صانَ عِرْضَهُ بِمالِهِ، واللَئِيمُ مَنْ صانَ مالَهُ بِعِرْضِهِ.
بزرگوار آن است که آبرویش را با مالش پاسبان دارد و پست‌کار آن است که مالش را با آبرویش پاسبان دارد.
A noble-minded person is one who safeguards his honour with his wealth while the wicked person is one safeguards his wealth by [sacrificing] his honour.
حکمت ۸۷۴۳ — موضوع ۵۶۴ · The Noble -Minded And MunificentSaying 8743 — The Noble -Minded And Munificentإحْذَرِ الكَريمَ إذا أهَنْـتَهُ، والحَليمَ إذا جَرَحْتَهُ، والشُّجاعَ إذا أوْجَعْتَهُ.
از بزرگوار هنگامی که او را خوار کردی، و از بردبار هنگامی که زنده‌اش ساختی، و از شجاع هنگامی که دردش را افزوده‌ای، بپرهیز.
Be cautious of the noble-minded person when you offend him, and the forbearing one when you injure him, and the courageous one when you torment him.
حکمت ۸۷۴۴ — موضوع ۵۶۴ · The Noble -Minded And MunificentSaying 8744 — The Noble -Minded And Munificentاِحْذَرُوا صَوْلَةَ الكَريمِ إذا جاعَ، وأشَرَ اللَّئيمِ إذا شَبَعَ.
از تهاجمِ بزرگوار هنگامی که گرسنه است و از تندیِ پست‌کار هنگامی که سیر شده است بپرهیزید.
Be cautious of the assault of the noble-minded person when he is hungry and the insolence of the wicked one when he is satiated.
حکمت ۸۷۴۵ — موضوع ۵۶۴ · The Noble -Minded And MunificentSaying 8745 — The Noble -Minded And Munificentاِحْذَرُوا سَطْوَةَ الكَريمِ إذا وُضِعَ، وسَوْرَةَ اللَّئِيمِ إذا رُفِعَ.
از چنگِ بزرگوار هنگامی که فروتن شد و از هجومِ پست‌کار هنگامی که برافراشته شد بپرهیزید.
Be cautious of the authority of the noble-minded person when he is humiliated and the vehemence of the wicked one when he is elevated [to a position of power].
حکمت ۸۷۴۶ — موضوع ۵۶۴ · The Noble -Minded And MunificentSaying 8746 — The Noble -Minded And Munificentاَلْكَريمُ يَتَغافَلُ ويَنْخَدِعُ.
بزرگوار، غفلت‌نما و فریب‌خورده (به نظر) می‌نماید.
The noble-minded person feigns inattention and pretends to be deceived.
حکمت ۸۷۴۷ — موضوع ۵۶۴ · The Noble -Minded And MunificentSaying 8747 — The Noble -Minded And Munificentاَلكِرامُ أصْبَرُ أنْفُساً.
بزرگواران، صابرترینِ جان‌ها را دارند.
Noble-minded people have the most patient souls.
حکمت ۸۷۴۸ — موضوع ۵۶۴ · The Noble -Minded And MunificentSaying 8748 — The Noble -Minded And Munificentاَلْكَريمُ يُجْمِلُ المَلَكَةَ.
بزرگوار، مالکیت (تصرف) را نیکو گرداند.
The noble-minded person makes [his] ownership righteous.
حکمت ۸۷۴۹ — موضوع ۵۶۴ · The Noble -Minded And MunificentSaying 8749 — The Noble -Minded And Munificentاَلْكَريمُ مَنْ بَدَأَ بِإحْسانِهِ.
بزرگوار آن است که نیکی‌اش را پیشِ دست (پیش از درخواست) آغاز کند.
A noble-minded person is one who initiates his act of kindness [before it is requested of him].
حکمت ۸۷۵۰ — موضوع ۵۶۴ · The Noble -Minded And MunificentSaying 8750 — The Noble -Minded And Munificentاَلْكَريمُ يَشْكُرُ القَليلَ، واللَّئيمُ يَكْفُرُ الجَزيلَ.
بزرگوار، از اندک سپاسگزار و پست‌کار، از فراوان ناسپاس است.
The noble-minded person shows gratitude for little whereas the wicked one is ungrateful for much.
حکمت ۸۷۵۱ — موضوع ۵۶۴ · The Noble -Minded And MunificentSaying 8751 — The Noble -Minded And Munificentاَلْكَريمُ مَنْ سَبَقَ نَوالُهُ سُؤالَهُ.
بخشنده، آن است که عطایش پیش از سوالش رسد.
The munificent person is one whose giving precedes his being asked.
حکمت ۸۷۵۲ — موضوع ۵۶۴ · The Noble -Minded And MunificentSaying 8752 — The Noble -Minded And Munificentاَلْكَريمُ إذا وَعَدَ وَفى، وإذا تَوَعَّدَ عَفى.
بزرگوار، چون وعده دهد وفای کند و چون تهدید کند بگذرد.
When the noble-minded person promises [something], he keeps his promise and when he threatens [to punish], he forgives.
حکمت ۸۷۵۳ — موضوع ۵۶۴ · The Noble -Minded And MunificentSaying 8753 — The Noble -Minded And Munificentاَلْكَريمُ إذا أيْسَرَ أسْعَفَ، وإذا أعْسَرَ خَفَّفَ.
بخشنده، چون توانگر شود یاری کند و چون تنگ شود (از دیگران) سبک بخشد (بارش را سبک کند).
When the munificent person is well-to-do, he fulfils the needs [of others] and when he faces hard times, he lightens the burden of others [by not seeking their assistance].
حکمت ۸۷۵۴ — موضوع ۵۶۴ · The Noble -Minded And MunificentSaying 8754 — The Noble -Minded And Munificentإذا كَرُمَ أصْلُ الرَّجُلِ كَرُمَ مَغيبُهُ ومَحْضَرُهُ.
چون اصلِ مرد بزرگوار بود، محضر و محجوبش (حضور و غیبتش) بزرگوار شمرده شود.
When the core of a man is noble, [both] his absence and presence are [considered] noble.
حکمت ۸۷۵۵ — موضوع ۵۶۴ · The Noble -Minded And MunificentSaying 8755 — The Noble -Minded And Munificentدَوْلَةُ الكَريمِ تُظْهِرُ مَناقِبَهُ.
فرمانرواییِ بزرگوار، منقبت‌هایش را آشکار کند.
The authority of a noble-minded person manifests his positive attributes.
حکمت ۸۷۵۶ — موضوع ۵۶۴ · The Noble -Minded And MunificentSaying 8756 — The Noble -Minded And Munificentذُوالكَرَمِ جَمِيلُ الشِّيَمِ، مُسْد لِلنِّعَمِ، وَصُولٌ لِلرَّحِمِ.
صاحبِ بزرگواری، نیکو خوی، بخشندۀِ نعمت‌ها و پیوند‌کنندۀِ رحم است.
The possessor of noble-mindedness has beautiful traits, grants favours [to others] and keeps ties with near relatives.
حکمت ۸۷۵۷ — موضوع ۵۶۴ · The Noble -Minded And MunificentSaying 8757 — The Noble -Minded And Munificentظَفَرُ الكَريمُ يُنْجي.
پیروزیِ بزرگوار، رهایی‌بخش است.
The success of a noble-minded person brings deliverance.
حکمت ۸۷۵۸ — موضوع ۵۶۴ · The Noble -Minded And MunificentSaying 8758 — The Noble -Minded And Munificentظَفَرُ الكِرامِ عَفْوٌ وإحْسانٌ.
پیروزیِ بزرگواران، بخشش و نیکی است.
The success of noble-minded people is [through] forgiveness and benevolence.
حکمت ۸۷۵۹ — موضوع ۵۶۴ · The Noble -Minded And MunificentSaying 8759 — The Noble -Minded And Munificentظِلُّ الكِرامِ رَغَدٌ هَنِيئٌ.
سایۀِ بزرگواران، گسترده و خوشایند است.
The shadow of noble-minded people is vast and pleasant.
حکمت ۸۷۶۰ — موضوع ۵۶۴ · The Noble -Minded And MunificentSaying 8760 — The Noble -Minded And Munificentعِنْدَ الإيثارِ عَلَى النَّفْسِ تَتَبَيَّنُ جَواهِرُ الكُرَماءِ.
در ایثار بر نفس، ذاتِ بزرگواران آشکار گردد.
In times of [their] altruism, the excellence of the noble-minded people become manifest.
