ناسپاسیِ نعمت‌ها، فراخوانندهٔ فرودآمدنِ کیفرهاست.

كافِرُ النِّعْمَةِ مَذْمُومٌ عِنْدَ الخالِقِ والخَلائِقِ.
ناسپاسِ نعمت، نزدِ آفریننده و آفریدگان نکوهیده است.
The one who is ungrateful for blessings is dispraised in the sight of the Creator and the creation.
لَيْسَ مِنَ التَّوْفيقِ كُفْرانُ النِّـعَمِ.
توفیق، ناسپاسیِ نعمت‌ها نیست.
Ingratitude for blessings is not a success [rather it is a failure].
لانِعْمَةَ مََعَ كُفْر.
با ناسپاسی، نعمتی نیست.
There is no blessing with ingratitude.
إنَّ كُفْرَ النِّعْمَةِ لُؤْمٌ ومُصاحَبَةَ الجاهِلِ شُؤْمٌ.
همانا ناسپاسیِ نعمت، پستی و همراهیِ نادان، نحسی است.
Verily ingratitude for blessings is vileness and accompanying the ignorant is [a cause of] misfortune.
اَلنِّـعَمُ يَسْلُبُهَا الْكُفْرانُ.
نعمت‌ها را ناسپاسی برباید.
Blessings are stripped away by ingratitude.
آفَةُ النِّـعَمِ الكُفْرانُ.
آفتِ نعمت‌ها، ناسپاسی است.
The bane of blessings is ingratitude.
سَبَبُ تَحَوُّلِ النِّـعَمِ الكُفْرُ.
سببِ دگرگونیِ نعمت‌ها، ناسپاسی است.
The cause of alteration [and removal] of blessings is ingratitude.
في كُفْرِ النِّـعَمِ زَوالُها.
در ناسپاسیِ نعمت‌ها، زوالِ آن هست.
In ungratefulness for blessings is [the cause of] its removal.
مَنْ كَفَرَ النِّـعَمَ حَلَّتْ بِهِ النِّقَمُ.
هر که نعمت‌ها را ناسپاس کند، کیفرها بر او نازل شود.
Whoever is ungrateful for blessings, [divine] retribution comes upon him.
اَلْكافِرُ خَبٌّ لَئِيمٌ،خَؤُنٌ، مَغْرُورٌ بِجَهْلِهِ، مَغْبُونٌ.
کافر، فریبکارِ پست، خیانتکار، فریب‌خورده به نادانی‌اش و گم‌شده است.
The disbeliever is a vile deceiver, perfidious, deluded by his ignorance and duped.
اَلكافِرُ اَلدُّنيا جَنَّـتُهُ، والعاجِلَةُ هِمَتُّهُ، والمَوْتُ شَقاوَتُهُ، والنّارُ غايَتُهُ.
برای کافر، دنیا بهشتش و عاجل، همتش و مرگ، شقاوتش و آتش، فرجامش است.
For the disbeliever, this world is his Paradise, the transient is what he strives for, death is [the cause of] his wretchedness and hellfire is his final end.
اَلْكافِرُ فاجِرٌ جاهِلٌ.
کافر، فاجرِ نادان است.
The disbeliever is an immoral, ignorant person.
اَلْكافِرُ شَرِسُ الخَليقَةِ، سَـيِّيءُ الطَّريقَةِ.
کافر، بدخو (زشت‌خویشتن) و بدراه است.
The disbeliever is ill-tempered and has an evil manner.
اَلْكافِرُ خَبٌّ، ضَبٌّ، جاف، خائِنٌ.
کافر، فریب‌رسان (خبّ) و سخت‌دل (ضبّ) و سخت (جافّ) و خیانتکار است.
The disbeliever is a misguiding deceiver, hard-hearted, [and] perfidious.
غايَةُ الكافِرِ النّارُ.
فرجامِ کافر، آتش است.
The final end of the disbeliever is hellfire.
ما كَفَرَ الكافِرُ حَتّى جَهِلَ.
کافر تا زمانی که نادان نبود کافر نشد.
The disbeliever did not disbelieve until he became ignorant.
هَمُّ الكافِرِ لِدُنْياهُ، وسَعْيُهُ لِعاجِلَتِهِ، وغايَتُهُ شَهْوَتُهُ.
اندوهِ کافر برای دنیایش و کوششش برای عاجلش و غایتش، هوایش است.
The concern of the disbeliever is for his [life in this] world, his efforts are for the transient [pleasures] and his goal is [fulfilling] his lust.
اَلْكُفْرُ خِذْلانٌ.
کفر، رها‌شدن (خلّان) است.
Disbelief is disappointment [and failure].[^1]
ضادُّوا الكُفْرَ بِالإيمانِ.
با ایمان، کفر را به ضدّ خود برگردانید.
Counter disbelief with faith.
