اللِّئامُ أصْبَرُ أجْساداً.
پست‌کاران، صابرترینِ تن‌ها را دارند.
The vile ones are the most patient physically [but are weakest in spirit].
اَللَّئِيمُ لامُرُوَّةَ لَهُ.
پست‌کار، مردمانگی ندارد.
The vile one has no magnanimity.
اَللَّئِيمُ لايَسْتَحْيي.
پست‌کار، هرگز شرم نکند.
The vile person is never ashamed.
اَللَّئِيمُ مَنْ كَثُرَ اِمْتِنانُهُ.
پست‌کار، آن است که منّت‌گذاری‌اش بسیار شود.
The vile person is one who puts a lot of obligation [on others when he does any good to them].
اَللَّئِيمُ إذا قَدَرَ أفْحَشَ، وإذا وَعَدَ أخْلَفَ.
پست‌کار، چون قدرت یابد فحاشی کند و چون وعده دهد، خلف کند.
The vile one is such that when he has the power, he commits atrocities and when he makes a promise, he breaks it.
اَللَّئِيمُ إذا أعْطى حَقَدَ، وإذا أُعْطِيَ جَحَدَ.
پست‌کار، چون بخشد کینه‌ور و چون داده شود به او، انکار کند.
The vile one is such that when he gives, he does begrudgingly and when he is given something, he is ungrateful.
إذا حَلَلْتَ بِاللِّئامِ، فَاعْتَلِلْ بِالصِّيامِ.
چون به پست‌کاران (میرزاه) رسیدی، به روزه عذر بیاور.
When you come upon vile [and miserly] people then give the excuse of fasting [so that you may leave them without partaking of a meal].
إذا بَلَغَ اللَّئيمُ فَـوْقَ مِقْدارِهِ تَنَـكَّرَتْ أحْوالُهُ.
پست‌کار، چون به فراتر از حدّ خود رسد، احوالش دگرگون شود.
When the vile one attains a position above his status, his condition changes [for the worse].
إذا زادَكَ اللَّئيمُ إجْلالاً فَزِدْهُ إذْلالاً.
چون پست‌کار تو را گرامی‌تر داشت، او را خوارتر شمار.
When the vile one increases his reverence for you then increase your scorn for him.
دَوْلَةُ اللَّئيمِ تَكْشِفُ مَساوِيَهُ ومَعايِبَهُ.
فرمانرواییِ پست‌کار، بدی‌ها و عیب‌هایش را آشکار کند.
The authority of a vile person manifests his evil traits and flaws.
دَوْلَةُ اللِّئامِ مَذَلَّةُ الكِرامِ.
فرمانرواییِ پست‌کاران، خوارگیِ بزرگواران است.
The dominion of the vile is the humiliation of the honourable.
دُوَلُ اللِّئامِ مِنْ نَوائِبِ الأيّامِ.
بالاآمدنِ پست‌کاران، از بلایایِ روزگار است.
The ascendency the vile ones is from the calamities of the times.
طالِبُ الخَيْرِ مِنَ اللِّئامِ مَحْرُومٌ.
جویندهٔ نیکی از پست‌کاران، محروم است.
The one who seeks good from vile people is deprived of it.
ظَفَرُ اللَّئيمِ يُرْدي.
پیروزیِ پست‌کار، فروافتادن (سقط) آورد.
The triumph of a vile person leads to destruction.
ظَفَرُ اللِّئامِ تَجَبُّرٌ، وطُغْيانٌ.
پیروزیِ پست‌کاران، تجبّر و طغیان است.
The triumph of vile people leads to haughtiness and defiance.
ظِلُّ اللِّئامِ نَـكِدٌ وَبِيٌّ.
سایهٔ پست‌کاران، تلخ و بد (بلا) است.
The shadow [and patronage] of the vile ones is [an] endemic adversity.
عادَةُ اللِّئامِ اَلمُكافاةُ بِالقَبيحِ عَنِ الإحْسانِ.
عادتِ پست‌کاران، پاداش‌دادنِ نیکی به زشتی است.
The habit of vile people is to repay good with evil.
عادَةُ اللِّئامِ الجُحُودُ.
عادتِ پست‌کاران، انکار (نفس‌اندازی) است.
The habit of vile people is denial [the blessings they have been given].
عادَةُ اللِّئامِ قُبْحُ الوَقيعَةِ.
عادتِ پست‌کاران، زشتیِ به هم‌زدن (غیبت) است.
