حکمت ۱۰۴۰۱ — موضوع ۶۸۱ · Affection And FriendshipSaying 10401 — Affection And Friendshipمَوَدَّةُ العَوامِّ تَنْقَطِعُ كَانْقِطاعِ السَّحابِ، وتَنْقَشِعُ كَما يَنْقَشِعُ السَّرابُ.
دوستیِ عامهٔ ناآگاه چون قطعه ابری پراکنده می‌شود، و چون سراب زایل می‌گردد.
The friendship of lay people parts like the parting of clouds, and disappears like the mirage disappears.
حکمت ۱۰۴۰۲ — موضوع ۶۸۱ · Affection And FriendshipSaying 10402 — Affection And Friendshipوُدُّ أبْناءِ الدُّنْيا يَنْقَطِعُ لانْقِطاعِ أسْبابِهِ.
دوستیِ دنیاپرستان، با قطع شدنِ انگیزه‌های دنیوی پایان می‌پذیرد.
The friendship of worldly people is cut off when its [worldly] motives are severed.
حکمت ۱۰۴۰۳ — موضوع ۶۸۱ · Affection And FriendshipSaying 10403 — Affection And Friendshipوُدُّ أبْناءِ الآخِرَةِ يَدُومُ لِدَوامِ سَبَبِهِ.
دوستیِ اهلِ آخرت، به سببِ پایداریِ هدفش [که خشنودی خداست] پایدار می‌ماند.
The friendship of the people who care for the Hereafter lasts as long as its motive [of pleasing Allah] lasts.
حکمت ۱۰۴۰۴ — موضوع ۶۸۱ · Affection And FriendshipSaying 10404 — Affection And Friendshipوادُّوا مَنْ تُوادُّونَهُ فِي اللّهِ، وأبْغِضُوا مَنْ تُبْغِضُونَهُ فيِ اللّهِ سُبْحانَهُ.
تنها برای خدا با کسانی که دوست می‌دارید دوستی ورزید، و تنها برای خدای سبحان با کسانی که دشمنی می‌دارید خشم گیرید.
Have affection for those whom you befriend [only] for the sake of Allah and hate those whom you dislike [only] for the sake of Allah, the Glorified.
حکمت ۱۰۴۰۵ — موضوع ۶۸۱ · Affection And FriendshipSaying 10405 — Affection And Friendshipلاتَمْنَحَنَّ وُدَّكَ مَنْ لاوَفاءَ لَهُ.
دوستی‌ات را به کسی که وفاداری ندارد پیشکش مکن.
Do not grant your friendship to one who has no loyalty.
حکمت ۱۰۴۰۶ — موضوع ۶۸۱ · Affection And FriendshipSaying 10406 — Affection And Friendshipلاتَرْغَبَنَّ في مَوَدَّةِ مَنْ لَمْ تَكْشِفْهُ.
در دوستی با کسی که او را نیازموده‌ای شتاب مورز.
Do not be keen in befriending a person whose true nature you have not known.
حکمت ۱۰۴۰۷ — موضوع ۶۸۱ · Affection And FriendshipSaying 10407 — Affection And Friendshipلا تُوادُّوا الكافِرَ، ولاتُصاحِبُوا الجاهِلَ.
با کافر دوستی مکن، و با نادان همنشین مشو.
Do not befriend the disbeliever and do not accompany the ignorant.
حکمت ۱۰۴۰۸ — موضوع ۶۸۱ · Affection And FriendshipSaying 10408 — Affection And Friendshipلاتَعْتَمِدْ عَلى مَوَدَّةِ مَنْ لايُوفي بِعَهدِهِ.
به دوستیِ کسی که به پیمانش وفا نمی‌کند اعتماد مکن.
Do not rely on the friendship of the one who does not fulfil his promise.
حکمت ۱۰۴۰۹ — موضوع ۶۸۱ · Affection And FriendshipSaying 10409 — Affection And Friendshipلاتَبْذُلَنَّ وُدَّكَ إذا لَمْ تَجِدْ مَوْضِعاً.
دوستی‌ات را در جایی که شایستهٔ آن نیست نثار مکن.
Never extend your friendship when you do not find a [suitable] place for it.
حکمت ۱۰۴۱۰ — موضوع ۶۸۱ · Affection And FriendshipSaying 10410 — Affection And Friendshipلاشَفيقَ كَالوَدُودِ النّاصِحِ.
هیچ دلسوزی چون دوستِ مهربان و خیرخواه نیست.
No one shows compassion like the sincere friend.
حکمت ۱۰۴۱۱ — موضوع ۶۸۱ · Affection And FriendshipSaying 10411 — Affection And Friendshipلايُوادُّ الأشْرارَُ إلاّ أشْباهَُهُمْ.
با بدان جز همانندهای خودشان دوستی نمی‌ورزند.
No one befriends the wicked except those who are like them.[^1]
حکمت ۱۰۴۱۲ — موضوع ۶۸۱ · Affection And FriendshipSaying 10412 — Affection And Friendshipلايُغْتَـبَطُ بِمَوَدَّةِ مَنْ لادينَ لَهُ.
به دوستیِ کسی که دین ندارد رشک برده نمی‌شود.
The friendship of one who has no faith is not something to be envious about.
حکمت ۱۰۴۱۳ — موضوع ۶۸۱ · Affection And FriendshipSaying 10413 — Affection And Friendshipلايَنْتَقِلُ الوَدُودُ الوَفِيُّ عَنْ حِفاظِهِ وإنْ أُقْصيَ.
دوستِ باوفا از عهد و نگهبانیِ دوستی‌اش روی برنمی‌تابد، حتی اگر از او دور شود.
The loyal friend does not turn away from his friendship even if he is far away.
حکمت ۱۰۴۱۴ — موضوع ۶۸۱ · Affection And FriendshipSaying 10414 — Affection And Friendshipلاتَدُومُ عَلى عَدَمِ الإنْصافِ المَوَدَّةُ.
دوستی با نبودِ انصاف و عدالت پایدار نمی‌ماند.
Friendship that lacks equity does not last.
حکمت ۱۰۴۱۵ — موضوع ۶۸۱ · Affection And FriendshipSaying 10415 — Affection And Friendshipيَنْبَغي أنْ يُهانَ مُغْتَنِمُ مَوَدَّةِ الحَمْقى.
سزاوار است کسی که غنیمت شمردنِ دوستیِ نادانان را می‌جوید، خوار و بی‌مقدار گردد.
It is befitting for the person who values the friendship of a fool to be humiliated.
حکمت ۱۰۴۱۶ — موضوع ۶۸۱ · Affection And FriendshipSaying 10416 — Affection And Friendshipأنْفَعُ الكُنُوزِ مَحَبَّةُ القُلُوبِ.
سودمندترینِ گنج‌ها، محبتِ دل‌هاست.
The most beneficial of treasures is the love of the hearts.
حکمت ۱۰۴۱۷ — موضوع ۶۸۱ · Affection And FriendshipSaying 10417 — Affection And Friendshipاَلْمَوَدَّةُ إحْدَى القِرابَتَيْنِ.
دوستی، یکی از دو خویشاوندی است.
Friendship is one of two [close] relationships.
حکمت ۱۰۴۱۸ — موضوع ۶۸۱ · Affection And FriendshipSaying 10418 — Affection And Friendshipاَلْمَوَدَّةُ فِي اللّهِ أكْمَلُ النَّسَبَيْنِ.
دوستی در راهِ خدا، کامل‌ترینِ دو نسبت و خویشاوندی است.
Friendship for the sake of Allah is the more perfect of the two kinships.
حکمت ۱۰۴۱۹ — موضوع ۶۸۱ · Affection And FriendshipSaying 10419 — Affection And Friendshipاَلْمَوَدَّةُ تَعاطُفُ القُلُوبِ في (وَ) ايتِلافِ الأرْواحِ.
دوستی، مهربانیِ دل‌ها به یکدیگر و یگانگیِ جان‌هاست.
Friendship is the [mutual] empathy of the hearts and the harmony of the souls.
حکمت ۱۰۴۲۰ — موضوع ۶۸۱ · Affection And FriendshipSaying 10420 — Affection And Friendshipأقْرَبُ القُرْبِ مَوَدّاتُ القُلُوبِ.
نزدیک‌ترین نزدیکی، مهربانی و پیوندِ دل‌هاست.
The closest proximity is the affection of the hearts.
