موافقتِ بیش از اندازه و بی‌جا، نفاق و دورویی است.

بِئْسَ الوَجْهُ الْوَقاحُ.
چه بد چهره‌ای است چهرهٔ بی‌شرم!
The worst countenance is [that of] the shameless.
ما أوْقَحَ الجاهِلَ.
چه بی‌شرم و گستاخ است انسانِ نادان!
How shameless the ignorant one is!
وَقاحَةُ الرَّجُلِ تَشينُهُ.
بی‌شرمیِ مرد، او را رسوا و معیوب می‌سازد.
The shamelessness of a man disgraces him.
إيّاكَ والْقِحَةَ، فَإنَّها تَحْدُوكَ عَلى رُكُوبِ القَبائِحِ، والتَّهَجُّمِ عَلَى السَّيِّئاتِ.
از گستاخی و بی‌شرمی بپرهیز، زیرا تو را بر ارتکابِ کارهای زشت و هجوم بر گناهان وامی‌دارد.
Beware of impudence, for indeed it drives you to embark on ugly acts and to rush towards evil deeds.
اَلقِحَةُ عُنْوانُ الشَّرِّ.
بی‌شرمی، نشانه و آغازگاهِ شر و بدی است.
Impudence is the symbol of evil.
رَأْسُ كُلِّ شَرّ ألقِحَةُ.
سرآمدِ هر بدی، بی‌شرمی و گستاخی است.
The cornerstone of every evil is impudence.
وَقِّرُوا اللّهَ سُبْحانَهُ، واجْتَنِبُوا مَحارِمَهُ، وأحِبُّوا أحِبّائَهُ.
خداوندِ سبحان را بزرگ و باوقار دارید، از محرماتش دوری گزینید و دوستدارانش را دوست بدارید.
Revere Allah the Glorified, keep away from what He has forbidden and love those whom He loves.
وَقِّرُوا كِبارَكُمْ، يُوَقِّرْكُمْ صِغارُكُمْ.
بزرگانتان را احترام کنید تا خردسالانتان به شما احترام گذارند.
Revere your elders and your youngsters will revere you.
عَلَيْكَ بِالتَّقِيَّةِ فَإنَّها شيمَةُ الأفاضِلِ.
بر تو باد به تقیه و پروا، که خصلتِ اهلِ فضل است.
Espouse precautionary dissimulation for indeed it is a trait of the praiseworthy.
لادينَ لِمَنْ لاتَقِيَّةَ لَهُ.
آن کس که تقیه و حزم ندارد، دینی برای او نیست.
He who has no precautionary dissimulation has no religion.
اَلتَّقِيَّةُ دِيانَةٌ.
تقیه، نشانهٔ دیانت و دینداری است.
Precautionary dissimulation is religiosity.
اَلتَّقْوى حِصْنٌ حَصينٌ لِمَنْ لَجَأَ إلَيْهِ.
تقوا، دژی استوار برای پناه‌برنده به آن است.
God-wariness is a fortified stronghold for the one who takes refuge in it.
اَلتَّقْوى جَمّاعُ التَّنَزُّهِ والعَفافِ.
تقوا، فراهم‌آورندهٔ تمامِ پاکی‌ها و پاکدامنی‌هاست.
God-wariness is the accumulator of [all] purity and chastity.
اَلتَّقْوى ثَمَرَةُ الدّينِ وأمارَةُ اليَقينِ.
تقوا، میوهٔ دینداری و نشانهٔ یقین است.
God-wariness is the fruit of faith and the sign of certitude.
اَلتَّقْوى ظاهِرُهُ شَرَفُ الدُّنْيا، وباطِنُهُ شَرَفُ الآخِرَةِ.
ظاهرِ تقوا، شرف و سربلندی در دنیا، و باطنش شرافتِ آخرت است.
The exterior of God-wariness is honour in this world while its interior is honour in the Hereafter.
اَلتَّقْوى آكَدُ سَبَب بَيْنَكَ وبيْنَ اللّهِ إنْ أخَذْتَ بِهِ وجُنَّـةٌ مِن ْ عَذاب أليم.
تقوا، استوارترین پیوند میان تو و خداوند است اگر بدان چنگ زنی، و سپری است در برابر عذابِ دردناک.
God-wariness is the strongest connection between yourself and Allah if you hold on to it, and it is a shield against the painful chastisement [of the Hereafter].
اَلتَّقْوى لاعِوَضَ ولا خَلَفَ فيهِ.
برای تقوا، هیچ جایگزین و عوضی نیست.
God-wariness is such that there is no alternative or substitute for it.
اَلتَّقْوى أنْ يَتَّقِيَ المَرْءُ كُلَّما يُؤْثِمُهُ.
تقوا آن است که انسان از هر آنچه او را به گناه می‌افکند پروا کند.
God-wariness is for a person to be cautious of all [the things] that could lead him towards sin.
اِتَّقِ تَفُزْ.
تقوا پیشه کن تا رستگار شوی.
Be God-wary and you will succeed [in this world and the next].
