حکمت ۱۰۷۲۱ — موضوع ۶۹۶ · God-WarinessSaying 10721 — God-Warinessفَاتَّقُوا اللّهَ عِبادَ اللّهِ تَقِيَّةَ مَنْ شَمَّرَ تَجْريراً، وجَدَّ تَشْميراً، وأكْمَشَ في مَهَل، وبادَرَ عَنْ وَجَل.
ای بندگانِ خدا، از خدا پروا بدارید، پروای کسی که دامن به کمر زد، کوشید و جدیت به خرج داد، در این مهلت شتاب ورزید و از بیمِ از دست رفتنِ فرصت به نیکی پیشی گرفت.
So be wary of [your duty towards] Allah, O servants of Allah, with the God-wariness of one who tucks up his clothes in preparation [for fulfilling the commandments of Allah] and makes great effort, who acts quickly during the short period [he has] and hurries out of fear [of losing the opportunity].
حکمت ۱۰۷۲۲ — موضوع ۶۹۶ · God-WarinessSaying 10722 — God-Warinessفَاتَقُوا اللّهَ تَقِيَّةَ مَنْ نَظَرَ في كَرَّةِ المَوْئِلِ، وعاقِبَةِ المَصْدَرِ، ومَغَبَّةِ المَرْجَعِ فَتَدارَكَ فارِطَ الزَّلَلِ، واسْتَكْثَرَ مِنْ صالِحِ العَمَلِ.
پس از خدا پروا بدارید، پروای کسی که در بازگشت به آن سرا، فرجامِ کار و سرانجامِ بازگشتگاه اندیشید؛ پس لغزش‌های گذشته را جبران کرد و بر کردارِ شایسته افزود.
So be wary of [your duty towards] Allah with the God-wariness of one who thinks about returning towards the Hereafter, the end [and consequence] of his life’s journey and the place of his [final] return, so he remedies his past errors and increases his righteous actions.
حکمت ۱۰۷۲۳ — موضوع ۶۹۶ · God-WarinessSaying 10723 — God-Warinessكَثْرَةُ التُّقى عُنْوانُ وُفُورِ الوَرَعِ.
تقوای بسیار، نشانهٔ فراوانیِ ورع و پارسایی است.
Increased God-wariness is a symbol of abundant piety.
حکمت ۱۰۷۲۴ — موضوع ۶۹۶ · God-WarinessSaying 10724 — God-Warinessمَنْ أحَبَّ فَوْزَ الآخِرَةِ فَعَلَيْهِ بِالتَّقْوى.
هر که پیروزی و سعادتِ آخرت را دوست دارد، باید تقوا پیشه کند.
Whoever would like success in the Hereafter should espouse God-wariness.
حکمت ۱۰۷۲۵ — موضوع ۶۹۶ · God-WarinessSaying 10725 — God-Warinessمَنْ تَعَرّى عَنْ لِباسِ التَّقْوى لَمْ يَسْتَتِرْ بِشَيْء مِنْ ألْبابِ (أسْبابِ) الدُّنْيا.
هر که از جامهٔ تقوا برهنه شود، با هیچ یک از اسبابِ دنیا پوشیده نخواهد شد.
Whoever takes off the attire of God-wariness will not be able to cover himself with anything from the devices (and means) of this world.
حکمت ۱۰۷۲۶ — موضوع ۶۹۶ · God-WarinessSaying 10726 — God-Warinessمَنْ تَسَرْبَلَ أثْوابَ التُّقى لَمْ يَبْلُ سِرْبالُهُ.
هر که جامه‌های تقوا را در بر کند، لباسش هرگز کهنه و فرسوده نگردد.
Whoever puts on the attires of God-wariness, his garments will not get worn out.
حکمت ۱۰۷۲۷ — موضوع ۶۹۶ · God-WarinessSaying 10727 — God-Warinessما أصْلَحَ الدّينَ كَالتَّقْوى.
هیچ چیز مانندِ تقوا دین را اصلاح و سامان نمی‌بخشد.
Nothing reforms faith like God-wariness.
حکمت ۱۰۷۲۸ — موضوع ۶۹۶ · God-WarinessSaying 10728 — God-Warinessمِلاكُ التُّقى رَفْضُ الدُّنْيا.
بنیاد و مدارِ تقوا، واگذاردنِ دنیاپرستی است.
The basis of God-wariness is rejection of this world.
حکمت ۱۰۷۲۹ — موضوع ۶۹۶ · God-WarinessSaying 10729 — God-Warinessهُدِيَ مَنْ أشْعَرَ التَّقْوى قَلْبَهُ.
هدایت یافته است کسی که دلِ خویش را با تقوا پیوند زند.
Guided is the one who fills his heart with God-wariness.
حکمت ۱۰۷۳۰ — موضوع ۶۹۶ · God-WarinessSaying 10730 — God-Warinessواتَّقُوا اللّهَ الَّذي أعْذَرَ (بِما أنْذَرَ)، واحْتَجَّ بِما نَهَجَ، وحَذَّرََّكُمْ عَدُوّاً نَفَذَ فِي الصُّدُورِ خَفِيّاً، ونَفَثَ فِي الآذانِ نَجِيّاً.
از خدایی پروا کنید که با هشدارهایش عذر را قطع کرده، با نمایاندنِ راهِ روشن حجت آورده، و شما را از دشمنی برحذر داشته که پنهانی در سینه‌ها راه می‌یابد و رازدارانه در گوش‌ها وسوسه می‌دمد.
And fear Allah, who is justified [in punishing you for disobedience] by the warning He has issued, and has a strong argument because He has made the [right] path clear and has warned you of the enemy who enters into the hearts stealthily and whispers secrets in the ears.
حکمت ۱۰۷۳۱ — موضوع ۶۹۶ · God-WarinessSaying 10731 — God-Warinessلاتُقْدِمْ ولاتُجْحِمْ إلاّ عَلى تَقْوَى اللّهِ وطاعَتِهِ تَظْفَرْ بِالنُّجْحِ وَالنَّهْجِ القَويمِ.
هیچ گامی به پیش منه و گامی به پس مکش مگر بر پایهٔ تقوای الهی و طاعتِ او، تا به رستگاری و راهِ استوار دست یابی.
Neither [should you] advance nor retreat except with the fear of Allah and in obedience to Him, [in this way] you will become victorious by attaining success and [finding] the right way.

هیچ کرامتی چون تقوا نیست.
There is no honour like God-wariness.

هیچ توشه‌ای همانندِ تقوا نیست.
There is no provision like God-wariness.
حکمت ۱۰۷۳۴ — موضوع ۶۹۶ · God-WarinessSaying 10734 — God-Warinessلاتَقْوى كَالْكَفِّ عَنِ المَحارِمِ.
هیچ تقوایی مانندِ خودداری از محرمات نیست.
There is no God-wariness like desisting from the forbidden.
حکمت ۱۰۷۳۵ — موضوع ۶۹۶ · God-WarinessSaying 10735 — God-Warinessلاحِصْنَ أمْنَعُ مِنَ التَّقْوى.
هیچ دژی تسخیرناپذیرتر از تقوا وجود ندارد.
There is no fortress more impenetrable than God-wariness.
حکمت ۱۰۷۳۶ — موضوع ۶۹۶ · God-WarinessSaying 10736 — God-Warinessلايَهْلِكُ عَلَى التَّقْوى سِنْخُ أصْل، ولايَظْمَأُ عَلَيْها زَرْعٌ.
ریشه‌ای که بر تقوا استوار باشد هرگز هلاک نشود، و کشتی که بر آن بروید هرگز تشنه نماند.
The thing that is rooted in God-wariness is never destroyed and the plant that grows on it never remains thirsty.
حکمت ۱۰۷۳۷ — موضوع ۶۹۶ · God-WarinessSaying 10737 — God-Warinessلاشَرَفَ أعْلى مِنَ التَّقْوى.
هیچ شرف و بزرگواری‌ای برتر از تقوا نیست.
There is no dignity loftier than God-wariness.
حکمت ۱۰۷۳۸ — موضوع ۶۹۶ · God-WarinessSaying 10738 — God-Warinessأبَرُّكُمْ أتْقاكُمْ.
نیکوکارترینِ شما، پرهیزگارترینِ شماست.
The most virtuous of you is the most God-wary among you.
حکمت ۱۰۷۳۹ — موضوع ۶۹۶ · God-WarinessSaying 10739 — God-Warinessلاتَضَعْ مَنْ رَفَعَتْهُ التَّقْوى.
کسی را که تقوا بلندمرتبه ساخته، خوار مکن.
Do not dishonour the one who has been elevated by God-wariness.
حکمت ۱۰۷۴۰ — موضوع ۶۹۶ · God-WarinessSaying 10740 — God-Warinessاِتَّقُوا اللّهَ تَقِيَّةَ مَنْ دُعِيَ فَأجابَ وتابَ فَأنابَ وحُذِّرَ فَحَذِرَ وعَبَرَ فَاعْتَـبَرَ وَخافَ فَأمِنَ.
از خدا پروا کنید، پروای کسی که خوانده شد و پاسخ داد، توبه کرد و بازگشت، هشدارش دادند و پروا کرد، گذر کرد و عبرت گرفت، و ترسید و در امان ماند.
Be wary of [your duty towards] Allah with the God-wariness of one who was called so he answered, who was penitent so he returned back, who was warned so he became cautious, who passed by [a place] so he took lessons [from it] and who feared so he remained safe.
