مَنْ كَثُرَ جَميلُهُ أجمَعَ النّاسُ على تَفْضيلِهِ.
هر که نیکویی‌اش فزون شود، مردم بر برتری‌اش هم‌داستان شوند.
One whose beautiful actions increase, the people unite in elevating him.

حکمت ۱۳۰۱ تا ۱۳۲۰Sayings 1301 to 1320
التَّجَمُّلُ مُرُوءَةٌ ظاهِرَةٌ.
خودآرایی جوانمردیِ آشکار است.
Grooming oneself is an apparent [form of] magnanimity.
اَلتَّجَمُلُ مِنْ أخْلاقِ المُؤمِنينَ.
خودآرایی از خوی‌های مؤمنان است.
Self-grooming is a characteristic of the believers.
لَيْسَ كُلُّ مُجْمِل بِمَحْرُوم. [^1]: This is half of a sentence from letter no. 31 of Nahj al-Balāgha.
هر نیکوکاری محروم نمانَد.
Not everyone who is moderate in seeking [his livelihood] is deprived.[^1]
الجَنَّةُ خَيْرُ مَآل، والنّارُ شَرُّ مَقيل.
بهشت بهترینِ سرانجام است و آتش بدترینِ جایگاه.
Paradise is the best place of return and hellfire is the worst place of residence.
ألا وإنّي لَمْ أرَ كَالجَنَّةِ نامَ طالِبُها، ولا كالنَّارِ نامَ هارِبُها.
هان! من مانند بهشت ندیدم که جوینده‌اش خفته باشد و مانند آتش که گریزنده‌اش خفته باشد.
Indeed, I have not seen any place whose seeker is in slumber like Paradise and any place whose fleer is in slumber like hellfire.
إنَّ أهلَ الجَنَّةِ كُلُّ مُؤْمِن هَين لَيْن.
اهل بهشت هر مؤمن فروتن و نرم‌خوست.
Verily the people of Paradise constitute all the believers who are easygoing and gentle.
إنَّ اللّهَ تعالى يُدْخِلُ بِحُسْنِ النِّيَّةِ وصالِحِ السَّريرَةِ مَنْ يَشاءُ مِنْ عِبادِهِ الجَنَّةَ.
خداوند تعالی به نیتِ نیک و درونِ شایسته هر که از بندگانش را بخواهد به بهشت درآوَرَد.
Verily Allah, the Exalted, makes whomever He wishes, from those of his servants who posses sincere intentions and righteous hearts, enter Paradise.
اَلجَنَّةُ دارُ الأمانِ.
بهشت سرای ایمنی است.
Paradise is the abode of peace.
إنْ كُنْتُمْ راغِبينَ لامُحالَةَ، فَارْغَبُوا في جَنَّة عَرْضُهاَ السَّمواتِ والأرضِ.
اگر ناگزیر رغبت‌مندید، در بهشتی رغبت کنید که پهنایش آسمان‌ها و زمین است.
If you must be desirous of something, then be desirous of a Paradise, the span of which covers the heavens and the earth.
اَلجَنَّةُ جَزاءُ المُطيعِ.
بهشت پاداش فرمان‌بر است.
Paradise is the reward of the obedient.
اَلجَنَّةُ دارُ الأتْقياءِ.
بهشت سرای پرهیزگاران است.
Paradise is the abode of the pious.
اَلجَنَّةُ غايَةُ السّابِقينَ.
بهشت غایت سبقت‌گیرندگان است.
Paradise is the goal of the foremost [in righteousness].
اَلْجَنَّةُ أفْضَلُ غايَة.
بهشت برترینِ غایت است.
Paradise is the most excellent goal.
اَلجَنَّةُ مَ آلُ الفائِزِ.
بهشت سرانجامِ فیروزمند است.
Paradise is the returning place of the victorious.
اَلجَنَّةُ جَزاءُ كُلِّ مُؤْمِن مُحسِن.
بهشت پاداش هر مؤمن نیکوکار است.
Paradise is the reward of every righteous believer.
نَيْلُ الجَنَّةِ بِالتَّنَزُّهِ عَنِ المَأثِمِ.
رسیدن به بهشت به پاک‌شدن از گناهان است.
Paradise is attained through keeping away from sins.
إنَّكَ لَنْ تَلِجَ الجَنَّةَ حتّى تَزْدَجِرَ عَنْ غَيِّكَ، وتَنْتَهِيَ، وتَرْتَدِعَ عَنْ مَعاصيكَ، وتَرعَوِيَ.
تو به بهشت درنیایی تا از گمراهی‌ات باز ایستی و سر باز زنی و از نافرمانی‌هایت بازگردی و به راه آیی.
Verily you will not enter Paradise until you restrain yourself from misdeeds and stop [committing them]; and deter yourself from sins and desist [from them].
إذا آمَنْتَ بِاللّهِ واتَّقَيْتَ مَحارِمَهُ أحَلَّكَ دارَ الأمانِ، وإذا أرْضَيْتَهُ تَغَمَّدَكَ بِالرِّضوانِ.
اگر به خدا ایمان آوری و از محرّماتش پروا کنی، تو را در سرای ایمنی جای دهد و اگر خشنودش کنی، تو را در رضوانش فروپوشد.
If you believe in Allah and abstain from what He has forbidden, He will put you in the Abode of Peace, and if you please Him, He will cover you with [divine] favour.
ثَمَنُ الجَنَّةِ العَمَلُ الصَّالِحُ.
بهای بهشت عمل صالح است.
The price of Paradise is good deeds.
