مَنْ أيْقَنَ بِالآخِرَةِ لَمْ يَحْرِصْ علَى الدُّنيا.
هر که به آخرت یقین کند، بر دنیا حریص نباشد.

حکمت ۱۲۱ تا ۱۴۰Sayings 121 to 140
مَنْ حَرَصَ علَى الآخرةِ مَلَكَ.
هر که بر [به‌دست‌آوردن] آخرت حریص باشد، به مراد رسد.
One who is desirous of the Hereafter [and works for it] attains it.
لِكُلِ شيْء مِنَ الآخِرَةِ خُلُودٌ وَبَقاءٌ.
هر چه از آخرت است، جاودانه و ماندگار است.
Everything in the Hereafter has perpetuity and everlastingness.
لَيْسَ عَنِ الآخِرَةِ عِوَضٌ، وَلَيْسَتِ الدُّنْيا لِلنَّفْسِ بِثَمَن.
برای آخرت عوضی نیست و دنیا برای جان بهایی نیست.
There is no substitute for the Hereafter; and this world is not the price of one’s soul.
لَيْس بِمُؤْمِن مَنْ لَمْ يَهْتَمَّ بِإصْلاحِ مَعادِهِ.
مؤمن نیست آن که به اصلاح معادش نیندیشد.
He who does not concern himself with improving his Hereafter is not a [true] believer.
مَنْ رَغِبَ في نَعيمِ الآخِرَةِ قَنِعَ بِيَسيرِ الدُّنيا.
هر که راغب نعمت آخرت باشد، به اندک دنیا قناعت کند.
One who longs for the bounties of the Hereafter is content with little in this world.
مَنْ أخْسَرُ مِمَّنْ تَعَوَّضَ عَنِ الآخِرَةِ بِالدُنيا؟!
کیست زیانکارتر از آن که دنیا را بدل از آخرت گیرد؟!
Who is more at a loss than the one who trades his Hereafter for this world?!
مَنْ جَعَلَ كُلَّ هَمِّهِ لآخِرَتِهِ ظَفِرَ بِالمأمُولِ.
هر که همهٔ همّش را برای آخرتش قرار دهد، به امید رسد.
One who puts all his efforts for [the betterment of] his Hereafter succeeds in attaining what he looks forward to.
مَنْ سَعى لِدارِ إقامَتِهِ خَلُصَ عَمَلُهُ وكَثُرَ وَجَلُهُ.
هر که برای سرای اقامتش بکوشد، عملش خالص و بیمش فزون شود.
Whoever strives for his permanent abode, his action becomes sincere and his fear [of displeasing Allah] increases.
مَنْ أيْقَنَ بِالآخِرَةِ سَلا عَنِ الدُّنيا.
هر که به آخرت یقین کند، از دنیا دل بکند.
One who is certain about his Hereafter thinks no more of this world.
مَنْ أكْثَرَ مِنْ ذِكْرِ الآخِرَةِ قَلَّتْ مَعْصِيَتُهُ.
هر که یاد آخرت را بسیار کند، گناهش کم شود.
Whoever increases his remembrance of the Hereafter, his transgression reduces.
مَنْ أصْلَحَ أمْرَ آخِرَتهِ، أصْلَحَ اللّهُ لَهُ أمْرَ دُنياهُ.
هر که کار آخرتش را اصلاح کند، خدا کار دنیایش را اصلاح فرماید.
One who strives to improve his Hereafter, Allah will improve for him his worldly life.
مَنْ كانَتِالآخِرَةُ هِمَّتَهُ بَلَغَ مِنَ الخَيْرِ غايَةَ اُمْنيَّتـِهِ.
هر که آخرت همتش باشد، از خیر به نهایت آرزویش رسد.
One whose efforts are for the Hereafter will attain the best of his aspired goals.
مَنْ لَمْ يَعْمَلْ لِلآخِرَةِ لَمْ يَنَلْ أمَلَهُ.
هر که برای آخرت کار نکند، به آرزویش نرسد.
One who does not work for the Hereafter will not attain what he hopes for.
مَنْ كانَ فيهِ ثَلاثٌ سَلِمَتْ لَهُ الدُّنيا والآخِرَةُ: يَأمُرُ بِالمَعْرُوفِ وَيَأتَمِرُ بِهِ، وَيَنْهى عَنِ المُنْكَرِ ويَنْتَهي عَنْهُ، ويُحافِظُ على حُدُودِ اللّهِ جَلَّ وَعلا.
هر که سه خصلت در او باشد، دنیا و آخرتش سلامت ماند: به معروف فرمان دهد و خود بدان عمل کند، از منکر باز دارد و خود از آن بپرهیزد، و حدود خدای بلندمرتبه را نگاه دارد.
One who has three [qualities] will have saved his life in this world and the Hereafter: he commands good and himself follows it, forbids evil and himself keeps away from it, and is careful in following the commandments of Allah, the Mighty and High.
ما أخْسَرَ مَنْ لَيْسَ لَهُ في الآخِرَةِ نَصيبٌ.
چه زیانکار است آن را که در آخرت بهره‌ای نیست!
How great a loser is the one for whom there is no share in the Hereafter!
مِرارَةُ الدُّنيا حَلاوَةُ الآخِرَةِ.
تلخی دنیا، شیرینی آخرت است.
The bitterness of this world is the sweetness of the Hereafter.
ما المَغْروُرُ الذَّي ظَفِرَ مِنَ الدُّنيا بأدنى سُهْمَتِِهِ(بِأعْلى هِمَّتِهِ) كالآخَرِ الَّذي ظَفِرَ مِنَ الآخِرَةِ بأعْلى هِمَّتِهِ(بأدنى سُهمَتِهِ).
فریفته‌ای که از دنیا به کمترین بهره رسد، چون کسی نیست که از آخرت به والاترین همت رسد.
The deceived one who succeeds in attaining the smallest portion of this world [through his greatest effort] is not comparable the one who succeeds in attaining [the smallest portion of] the Hereafter by exerting his greatest effort.
نالَ المُنى مَنْ عَمِلَ لِدارِ البَقاءِ.
آرزو را آن یابد که برای سرای بقا کار کند.
He who works for his Eternal Abode obtains what he desires.
لاتبيعُوا الآخرَةَ بالدُّنيا، ولاتَسْتَبْدِلُوا الفَناءَ بِالبَقاءِ.
آخرت را به دنیا مفروشید و فنا را بدل بقا مگیرید.
Do not sell the Hereafter for this world and do not exchange the everlasting for the evanescent.
