حکمت ۳۶۱ تا ۳۸۰Wisdoms 361 to 380
الْعَجَلَةُ قَبْلَ الْإِمْكَانِ مِنَ الْحُمْقِ.
عجله پیش از امکان از حماقت است.
Be patient with the patience of the free, or else be heedless with the heedlessness of the ignorant.
لَا تَسْأَلْ عَمَّا لَا يَكُونُ.
از آنچه شدنی نیست مپرس.
If you are patient with the patience of the noble, otherwise you will forget like beasts.
الْفِكْرُ مِرْآةٌ صَافِيَةٌ.
اندیشه آینه‌ای زلال است.
It deceives, harms, and passes away.
الْعِلْمُ مَقْرُونٌ بِالْعَمَلِ.
علم با عمل همراه است.
Do not leave behind you anything of this world.
جَعَلَ اللَّهُ الثَّوَابَ عَلَى طَاعَتِهِ.
خدا ثواب را بر طاعت و کیفر را بر معصیت نهاده است.
Seeking forgiveness is the station of the lofty; it has six meanings.
يَأْتِي عَلَى النَّاسِ زَمَانٌ لَا يَبْقَى مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ إِلَّا رَسْمُهُ.
زمانی می‌آید که از قرآن جز نقشش نماند.
Forbearance is a tribe (that supports you).
اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ عِبَادَ اللَّهِ.
ای بندگان خدا تقوا پیشه کنید.
Wretched is the son of Adam: his term is hidden.
لَا شَرَفَ أَعْلَى مِنَ الْإِسْلَامِ.
شرافتی برتر از اسلام نیست.
The eyes of these men are restless.
قِوَامُ الدِّينِ وَ الدُّنْيَا بِأَرْبَعَةٍ.
قوام دین و دنیا به چهار چیز است.
Enough of your reason is what shows you the paths of error from guidance.
مَنْ رَأَى عُدْوَاناً يُعْمَلُ بِهِ.
هر که تعدی را ببیند که انجام می‌شود.
Do good and do not belittle any of it.
مِنْهُمْ تَارِكٌ لِإِنْكَارِ الْمُنْكَرِ بِقَلْبِهِ.
گروهی فقط با قلب نهی از منکر می‌کنند.
Whoever sets right his inward, God sets right his outward.
أَوَّلُ مَا تُغْلَبُونَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْجِهَادِ.
نخستین جهاد که از شما گرفته شود جهاد با دست است.
Forbearance is a covering veil and reason a cutting sword.
الْحَقُّ ثَقِيلٌ مَرِيءٌ.
حق سنگین اما گواراست.
God has servants whom He singles out with blessings for the benefit of others.
لَا تَأْمَنَنَّ عَلَى خَيْرِ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ.
بهترین این امت را از عذاب ایمن ندانید.
A servant should not trust in two things: health and wealth.
الْبُخْلُ جَامِعٌ لِمَسَاوِئِ الْعُيُوبِ.
بخل جامع همه عیب‌هاست.
Whoever complains of need to a believer is as if he complained to God.
السَّعْيُ فِي الْعَمَلِ.
کوشش در عمل.
Remember that pleasures end and their consequences remain.
كَفَى بِالدُّنْيَا دَارَ مَعْصِيَةٍ.
برای پستی دنیا همین بس که سرای معصیت است.
Test and you will come to dislike.
لَوْ لَمْ يَتَوَعَّدِ اللَّهُ عَلَى مَعْصِيَتِهِ.
اگر خدا بر معصیت تهدید نکرده بود باز نافرمانی نباید کرد.
God does not open a door of gratitude and close the door of increase.
يَا أَشْعَثُ إِنْ تَحْزَنْ عَلَى ابْنِكَ.
ای اشعث اگر بر پسرت اندوهگین شوی.
The people most deserving of generosity are those through whom the generous are known.
